Bitcoin is the Revolution You've Been Waiting For

David Seaman

Yesterday, President Obama stated that “we tortured some folks” in the aftermath of 9/11. Later in the day, he expressed his full confidence in his CIA Director, a man several pundits have pointed out was supportive of such torture during the Bush administration.

Obama pointed out that torture is against our “values”.

No. A long wait at the grocery store is against our values. Abduction and torture without trial, on the other hand, is illegal.

Warrantless surveillance of the American civilian population, more than a year after Edward Snowden first came out with his “revelations,” is illegal. Using the IRS to intimidate and slow down political opposition is illegal.

New Canadian Law States Masked Protesters Could Face 10 Years in Jail

Joe Martino

The rise of the people is an undeniable happening across the globe as hundreds of millions have taken to the streets over the past few years to stand up for what they are not happy with throughout the world. With these protests comes bullhorns, signs, masks, costumes and more creative ways that protesters use to make their point.

But a new Canadian law (Bill C-309) now forbids people from wearing any mask or face-covering during a riot or so-called “unlawful assembly.” While it is difficult to determine how the law defines this type of protest exactly, it is clear on the fact that non abiders can receive a maximum of 10 years in prison if they are convicted of concealing their identity.

Although the new law does allow exceptions for those who are able to prove they have a “lawful excuse” for concealing their face, such as religious or medical purpose, that person may also be subject to charges for participating in an unlawful assembly. The law is greeted by some but opposed by others. While conservative lawmakers greeted the idea with pleasure, privacy advocates and civil libertarians are not so keen on the bill and haven’t been since it began making its rounds. They believe the bill uses vague language like the “lawful excuse” exception which leaves major questions unanswered.

Millions March Against Monsanto

Brad Jordan

[Editor's note: This article is an excellent rundown of what Monsanto is in regards to food rights, safety, monopoly, patents, cronyism, and why millions are marching in peaceful protest. Please read and especially share with friends and family who are hearing about it and may not be aware of Monsanto and genetically modified foods. -HC ]

Fight for your right to eat food

Tired of not being able to trust your food? Tired of all the food deserts in this country, where there’s no choice other than which nasty fast-food place to drive-thru? Tired of federal regulators banning nutrient-dense foods, like raw milk from pasture-raised cows? Tired of not knowing what’s genetically modified and what’s not? Tired of things being labeled “natural” when they’re not? Tired of being sick and tired?

If you answered yes to any of the above, then it’s time to rise up off of your couch, grab a pitchfork, and join the worldwide March Against Monsanto, May 25.

Who is Monsanto?

For those of you who don’t know, Monsanto is the largest producer of pesticides, herbicides and genetically engineered crop seeds in the world.

Alternative Markets, Barter Systems, and Local Co-ops are the Lifeboats That Will Save Us

Interview with Brandon Smith, founder of Alt-Market.com

Eric Blair

More and more people are becoming aware of the complete system failure we're experiencing in the United States and around the globe. As the true nature of the control system is revealed, people tend to feel as Howard Beale did in Network when he said, "first, you've got to get mad...and scream, I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!"

But once that anger at being lied to for so long subsides, then we must get on with the business of taking action to make the world more just and hopeful for our children.  Many people will take to the streets to protest certain aspects of the current system. Others will do everything in their power to inform or warn their peers of the coming iceberg. Those are good and necessary functions, but they won't stop the Titanic from sinking.

It seems the broken system will continue to take on water despite the best efforts to affect change within it.  That's why some are suggesting to jump ship now before they run out of lifeboats.  By jump ship, I mean function outside of the system as much as possible.  The faulty economic system is only propped up by our belief and support of it.  When we operate outside of it using alternative markets, barter systems, local cooperatives, and competing currencies, we not only provide a lifeboat to many frightened passengers, but the paddles as well.

Below is my email interview with alternative market activist and founder of Alt-Market.com, Brandon Smith.  He explains the need and benefits of using alternative markets as a form of protest and survival:

BREAKING: Bomb Scare Shuts Down Road to Bilderberg Meeting; Conference Now Postponed

UPDATE 3: The Bilderberg conference has now been postponed until tomorrow. This may or may not be due to the reported bomb threat, but it coincides with multiple reports of the local airport postponing all flights due to severe weather conditions.

UPDATE 2: Police say they have found some suspicious tubing close to the Bilderberg hotel. Police say two people have been arrested. It is not yet clear whether the arrests are connected to the supposed bomb threat.
_____________________________________

In a transparent effort to block access as attendees arrive for this year’s Bilderberg meeting in St. Moritz, Switzerland, officials have claimed a bomb threat and closed a major road in and out of the historic alpine village.

Earlier workers erected a cloth barrier around the luxury hotel where the meeting will be held beginning today. The wall obstructing view of the hotel is an obvious attempt to prevent the media from observing the hotel grounds and possibly identifying its high-powered guests.

The Infowars.com team on the ground in St. Moritz reports the road closure under the pretense of a bomb threat will block traffic from the village for at least two hours, possibly longer.

Stay tuned. Alex Jones and Infowars.com will bring you more on this important development.

Infowars.com and Alex Jones would like to give a special thanks to Midas Resources for its support of our Bilderberg 2011 coverage.

ACTIVIST ALERT: Protest Bilderberg Saturday at Noon

As elite controllers gather in St. Moritz, Switzerland to plot another round of their global agenda, radio show host Alex Jones has called for activists to descend on the conference area at the Suvretta House Hotel pinpointed on the map below:

It was only several years ago that the Bilderberg Group's existence was vehemently denied as the talk of conspiracy nuts.  U.S. mainstream media is still avoiding coverage of the conference, but the group has now been exposed as one of the prime culprits in the bankster takeover of the planet.  It is attended by business leaders, government officials and leaders of the banking cartel, as well as top media orchestrators.  There is no doubt that past global agendas set by the Bilderbergers have become clear action items that have affected the governance of sovereign nations.

This is an opportunity for the Swiss, especially, to lead a convergence of Europeans within easy reach of the conference and show resistance to the many criminals in attendance, as well as to protest government secrecy.  As war escalates around the world, the middle classes are looted, and future generations are sold into economic servitude, now is the time to stand up and let your voices be heard.

Protesters Hospitalized in Spain as Police Brutality Sweeps Through Barcelona

Activist Post

Here are two recent videos of the State once again using their resources to crush protest against their criminality.  It is a sign of incredible desperation to abuse peaceful protesters.  The henchmen at the behest of the banking elite that continue to loot the middle classes of the world have to go down this path, because they know that the Spanish Spring is the real thing; it is a leaderless resistance that transcends all of the normal and manufactured divisions.

It's been nearly a week since the Spanish government, in tyrannical fashion, tried to ban all protests.  This tactic just seemed to fuel the anger of the citizens who claim they will not leave the streets until the current system is thrown out and replaced with something that serves the people - not the banks. To the police and security forces: the more you escalate your brutality, the faster this movement will spread. You would be wise to join the side of peace and prosperity before you're completely exposed as henchmen of a fascist system.

Please share this post to show everyone how fear and intimidation is being used in place of justice.

Financial Terrorism: TSA Holds Texas Flights Hostage (Updated--protest underway)

Paul Joseph Watson
Infowars

UPDATE: Alex Jones is now at the Texas State Capitol in Austin joining a protest where citizens are gathering to demand an end to TSA tyranny. We urge everyone in the area who cares about this massive issue to take part in the demonstration. The TSA has now turned into a literal occupying army that threatens to completely change the character of American society, from a beacon of liberty to a checkpoint-riddled, ‘show us your papers’ Sovietized hellhole. We cannot stand idly by while the federal government resorts to mafia-style threats of financial terrorism to crush the lawful and constitutional rights of local representatives to run their own state in the way they see fit.

An astounding Department of Justice threat to cancel airline flights to and from Texas, in addition to underhanded lobbying by TSA representatives, has killed efforts in the state to pass HB 1937, a bill that would have made invasive pat downs by TSA agents a felony.

HB 1937, a bill that would have made it “A criminal act for security personnel to touch a person’s private areas without probable cause as a condition of travel or as a condition of entry into a public place,” was headed for an imminent Senate vote in Texas having already passed the House unanimously 138-0, before the federal government stepped in to nix the legislation.

"Free Speech Zones" Killing Free Speech Across Orwellian America

"Congress shall make no law... abridging... the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."  -- First Amendment to the Constitution of The United States of America.

The "free speech zone," despite being anathema to the U.S. Constitution, has been used intermittently since the Vietnam War protests.   When their use was expanded to actually hide protesters during both the Democratic and Republican National Conventions in 2004, free speech zones were quickly written off by the mainstream media as either no big deal, or essential to protect participants from dangerous activists.  Many in the alternative media warned that this was a dangerous precedent to set; after all, America itself is considered by the Constitution to be a free speech zone, with laws that were created to prosecute crimes when they are committed and not before.

These zones have now become a political tool used to alter the perception of media coverage, as supporters are allowed a front-row seat in full view of cameras, while protesters are housed in cages sometimes blocks away from the actual event.

Sure enough, free speech zones are cropping up across America in a variety of locations, as evidenced in the following video from Orlando, FL where judge Belvin Perry has designated a small section of sidewalk to those who might want to express their freedom at the Orange County Courthouse:

This is a clear demonstration of how rights have been turned into privileges.

People power: Thousands defy Spanish protest ban as demonstrations go on into the night

The Daily Mail

An order by the Spanish government banning protests after midnight last night was held up to ridicule when tens of thousands of demonstrators continued protesting after the curfew supposedly kicked in.

Yesterday was the last day for candidates to campaign for the election for municipal and regional government positions in much of the country. Citing the mandatory end of campaigning, the national election commission banned protests today and tomorrow - voting day.

But as city clocks chimed the beginning of a new day, thousands of demonstrators condemning government spending cuts - stood their ground. Some kept quiet, many with sticky tape over their mouths in a gesture to illustrate they were being gagged by the ban.

The government avoided saying if it would order police to break up the crowds in the early hours of this morning, but at the stroke of midnight officers kept a discreet presence on the edges of the demonstrations.

Spanish protesters cheer for ‘world revolution’ as ban on demonstration takes effect

AFP/Raw Story

MADRID — Thousands of protesters in Madrid furious over soaring unemployment staged a silent protest and then erupted in cheers of joy as a 48-hour ban on their demonstration took effect on Saturday.

"Now we are all illegal" and "the people united will never be defeated," were among the chants of the protesters who crammed Madrid's Puerta del Sol square and spilled onto side streets.

The protesters held a minute's silence, their hands in the air and some with tape over their mouths, just before midnight on Friday, when campaigning officially ended for Sunday's regional and municipal elections.

The crowd then cheered as the clock in the square, the main site of New Year festivities in Madrid, chimed midnight and a ban on the protest became effective.

"From Tahrir to Madrid to the world, world revolution," said one of the placards, referring to Tahrir Square in Cairo which was the focal point of the Egyptian revolution earlier this year.

Nuke protester murdered in India as police open fire on peaceful crowd

Authorities responded to peaceful protest of a proposed nuclear power plant site in India by shooting at the crowd, killing one and injuring eight. Over sixty others were arrested. Killed by police on Monday, the body of 30-year-old Tabrez Sayekar was carried through the streets at a funeral march attended by more than 2,000 people on Wednesday. No one has been charged in his murder.

The Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL), along with the French nuclear energy giant, Areva, plan to build the world’s largest nuclear power plant complex generating nearly 10,000 megawatts of electricity in an agricultural area at Jaitapur in the Ratnagiri district of Maharashtra.
In December, the world renowned Tata Institute of Social Sciences published a social and environmental assessment of the proposed project conducted by Jamsetji Tata Centre for Disaster Management last April, calling it a potential disaster. According to DNA India, the report charges that the government has hidden and suppressed important and relevant information, and “has subverted facts” by labeling the proposed 968-hectare site as barren land that the locals use for agriculture, horticulture and grazing.

‘Farmers and horticulturists have spent lakhs of rupees to make the land cultivable over years and even the government has supported them. This includes Alfonso mangoes and cashews. Now, when the time has come for them to reap their investments, they are afraid of losing their land as the government now claims it is barren land,’ says the report. It adds that even the fisherfolk of the region are against the project.

Washington mayor arrested in protest

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Vincent Gray, the mayor of the US capital city of Washington, was arrested during a protest over the budget deal struck to avoid a federal government shutdown, local media reported.

Some 41 of the roughly 150 demonstrators protesting details of the deal which involve how the District of Columbia government can spend its money were arrested, Gray among them, NBC television reported.

The demonstrators also are outraged that the federal capital city was used as a political chip in the budget deal struck Friday between President Barack Obama's fellow Democrats in Congress and rival Republicans.

Under terms of the deal, it appears that local tax money will not be able to be spent on abortions for low-income women, NBC reported citing city leaders.

Washington is still regrouping from the political tug-of-war that led to the near shutdown of the federal government at the weekend, but looming on the horizon are bigger battles over the debt ceiling and the 2012 federal budget.

The Military Tax Collector Is Here Again

Gerald Celente, one of the world's premier trend forecasters, recently made the boldest statement of his 30-year career.  In the special report you'll see below, he admonished the American people to "grow up" and take action about the latest debacle/war in Libya being waged in our name and on our dollar.  He did NOT advise calling your senator, writing Congress, or any one of the other completely ignored protests by an oligarchy long past caring about the will of the people.  He advised to stop paying taxes that support these wars.

Serious tax protest always has been one of the fastest ways to land yourself in the ever-expanding American prison system.  Why do you think this is?  Because the system knows that it is the Achilles heel of the corrupt leadership and their crony corporate interests who steal from the American people to fund a military that is being assigned increasingly dangerous, doomed-to-failure missions that will only generate worldwide hatred for military personnel, America, and its people.
