Anonymous Activist Facing up to 3 Years in Prison For Protesting in Ferguson

Alex Poucher, a 29 year old father of a seven-year-old daughter, is a determined activist who was arrested a total of seven times in Ferguson last year.

The charges all essentially translate to one action deemed a crime: protesting.

Anonymous Threatens To Release Name Of Officer In Ferguson Police Shooting

The hacker group Anonymous claims it has the name of the Ferguson, Missouri, police officer involved in the fatal shooting of an unarmed black teenager over the weekend.

But in a rare display of caution, the group said Wednesday it is waiting to release the officer's name until it can be confirmed.

"We have the name of the shooter," the group tweeted. "We just can't verify. We need to either talk to witnesses or get a second leak source."

One member of Anonymous told HuffPost the hacker group wanted "to be absolutely positive it is correct."

"There have been instances in the past where anons have released erroneous dox," the Anonymous member “katanon" said in an interview via online chat room, referring to the hacker slang of exposing a person's true identity online.

Recent Attack on GoDaddy is False Flag Justifying Need for Cybersecurity EO

Editor's Note:   GoDaddy interim CEO Scott Wagner apologized for the mishap, and thanked customers for their patience. He said that it was not a hack, as it was earlier believed. Wagner said, “No time was any customer data at risk or were any of our systems compromised.”

Earlier this week, the CIA-sponsored hacker group called Anonymous claimed responsibility for the taking down of hosting provider GoDaddy and several websites hosted by this corporation. This nameless, faceless group took down the Domain Name System (DNS) while a currently undetermined number of customers were affected.

Some of the websites taken down belonged to towns, cities, private businesses, and real estate agencies. The branch of the fake-hacker group calling themselves AnonymousOwn3r, claimed the attack, yet did not disclose their motive other than stating that this was a test of GoDaddy’s security systems.

AnonymousOwn3r said he is the “security leader of #Anonymous.” He goes on to say in an earlier tweet that he was “behind many things such like irc, ops, attacks [sic].”

Customers of GoDaddy have reacted with anger. On a blog, there is a call for a class-action lawsuit against the hosting company for monetary loss due to the hacker’s success.

Editor's Note:  It is my opinion, based on the fact that Anonymous is heavily reported in the corporate owned media and the apparent disinformation promoted, that Anonymous is a false flag operation.  Consequently, it is necessary for researchers, such as Julie Beal, to set the record straight.

Anonymous recently put out a video below advising people how to avoid being scanned by facial recognition technology; the advice boils down to ‘tilt your head at an angle’ or ‘wear a specially made cap’. They did not go so far as to tell people how to actually make such a cap, nor did they point out that the technology has been developed to capture faces even when they are at an angle.

The powers that be are highly aware that not all subjects are compliant, or even aware, that their facial features are being ‘captured’, so they have developed the capacity to identify people even when their faces are not in the ‘perfect’ position.

Anonymous Targets Anaheim PD, While 'Protesters' Ramp Up Violence

Anaheim residents have had increasing distrust of their local police. A series of 7 suspicious shootings with 5 deaths, culminated recently with the death of unarmed 24-year-old Manuel Diaz who, recent evidence showed, was shot in the leg and the back of the head.

Just one day later, Joel Acevedo, who was allegedly in handcuffs, was also gunned down; while residents from a nearby apartment building were targeted by police flashlights in an apparent effort to stifle any video footage being taken of the incident.

The chaos that ensued has shown no signs of abating; and now Anonymous has directly attacked Police Chief John Welters, initiating a new operation that calls for citizens to rise up en masse.

The hacking collective known as Anonymous published Chief Welters' home address, as well as his personal MySpace page, which is part of #OpAnaheim recorded in the video below:



While legitimate activism is certainly required in the face of blatant tyranny, the original community that came under fire has morphed into something that should at least raise the question: Who are the Anaheim protesters?
The local residents who gathered to express their outrage over the killing of Diaz, and later Acevedo, were predominantly Latino. However, in subsequent protest videos like the first major one below titled "Anaheim Rebellion", we see a much greater mix, with some protesters wearing the standard provocateur/anarchist garb, as a decent number of professional camera crew follow them around.

It is interesting to note that police who used blunt force ammunition and a dog against men, women, and children, show amazing restraint in the above video, as well as in many of the subsequent incidents shown in still photos HERE, where demonstrators were filling tanks with gas, kicking police cars, and breaking windows. As Chief Welters states:

I respect the people's right to demonstrate, but I wish that they weren't demonstrating in a violent manner.

As Anaheim gears up for more protests throughout the weekend, with demonstrators planning to march near Disneyland and the Anaheim Police Department, it will become increasingly important to question if all elements of this citizen uprising are legitimate, so that any attempt to co-opt a peaceful redress of grievances and turn it into a violent conflict that gives the police state the justification to crack down can be exposed and repudiated.

Additionally, with the history of at least some elements of Anonymous suspected to be controlled opposition, are we witnessing the beginnings of a coordinated effort to use propaganda in tandem with provocateurs to delegitimize community outrage, and even turn this into a racial issue? Will the building chaos and "trend" of civil unrest across the country be used to justify Federal intervention as is suggested in the RT interview below?
