The IMF and World Bank Use Arab Uprisings to Expand Control Over Nations

Many oil-producing nations such as Saudi Arabia, the US, the UK, Japan and Kuwait have pledged $165 million to fundan initiative of the World Bank that will allegedly prop up countries that have been affected by manufactured Arab Spring uprisings. 

Along with the approval of the UN, International Monetary Fund (IMF), the World Bank, the Islamic Development bank and the OPEC fund for International Development are supporting the partnership. 

The IMF and the World Bank, at a meeting in Tokyo, focused talks on the Middle East and their economies of which recent Arab Springs have paved the way for globalist influence in the region. Kim Yong-Yim, newly appointed president of the World Bank remarked that these revolutions have allowed for the international community to refine their development of such areas.

Civil liberties advocates are raising alarm over news the FBI is giving agents more leeway to conduct domestic surveillance. According to the New York Times, new guidelines will allow FBI agents to investigate people and organizations "proactively" without firm evidence for suspecting criminal activity. We speak to former FBI agent Mike German, who now works at the American Civil Liberties Union, and Texas activist Scott Crow, who has been the focus of intense FBI surveillance from 2001 until at least 2008. Using the Freedom of Information Act, Crow received 440 pages of heavily redacted documents revealing the FBI had set up a video camera outside his house, traced the license plates of cars parked in front of his home, recorded the arrival and departure of his guests, and observed gatherings that Crow attended at bookstores and cafes. The agency also tracked Crow’s emails and phone conversations and picked through his trash to identify his bank and mortgage companies. “It’s been definitely traumatizing at different points,” says Crow. “But if we don’t come out and be open about this, then they’ve already won, and the surveillance and the ‘war on terror’ wins against us.”

Activist Richard Brown's Story of The SF8, FBI Repression, and the Return of COINTELPRO (Video)

Richard Brown was falsely arrested and tells his decades-long story about his experience with the FBI in the video below.

Lately, the FBI has been moving in to repress free speech, using grand jury indictments in a revival of COINTELPRO measures begun in the '50s against domestic political groups, and most infamously against black civil rights activists in the '60s.  The modern form is even more virulent, as it attempts to chill free speech by paralyzing all activists from participating in the organized, peaceful protest they are entitled to under the Constitution.

Regardless of what one might think of The Black Panthers, or Brown's former connection to them, there are some striking facts about police brutality, FBI dininfo/misinfo campaigns, activist surveillance, and justice system intimidation tactics that were fully realized in the persecution of black civil rights activists such as The Black Panthers.  Brown's case is indicative of the lengths to which the FBI went to torture people into false confessions, spread personal rumors, provocateur violence, publish false stories, and infiltrate groups in order to conduct full-time surveillance.  Now, many of the very same agents (literally) involved in COINTELPRO operations are back, having been deputized by Homeland Security to marshal in another round of repressive conduct against Americans.


It has been thoroughly revealed that peaceful activism is now being connected to terrorism, thus putting all activists under potential surveillance within the greater War on Terror.  Additionally, it has been announced that PATRIOT Act provisions are set to be made permanent, offering no relief from the endless expansion of the security state and snitch culture endorsed by Homeland Security.  The government considers protesting as a form of terrorism, or "low level-terrorism" as they call it; protests are now juxtaposed with attacking the Pentagon, IEDs (Improvised Explosive Devices), and hate crimes against racial groups (I wonder if the Afghan/Iraq war falls under this definition).

Such contempt for free speech should be no surprise; from the Bush-era free speech zones to the JTTF (Joint Terrorism Task Force) conducting house visits and interrogations on individuals deemed "radicals" or "extremist" based on "call-ins" -- euphemism for snitch-based information obtained from illegal infiltration.  It should be no surprise to have watched the YouTube video posted by an Austin-area nurse and mother of five who received a visit from two JTTF agents.  Participation at a Palestine peace protest warranted that dreaded knock on the door.  Even respected veterans such as members of IVAW (Iraq Veterans Against the War) who have actively participated in anti-war events have experienced FBI harassment.  This treatment is documented by Camilo Mejia -- previously the Chair of Board of Directors of the Iraq Veterans Against the War --  in IVAW's latest book Winter Soldier: Iraq and Afghanistan: Eyewitness Accounts of the Occupations.

So, listen to Brown's story carefully.  If you believe in your right to free speech and non-violent rebellion, this story could soon be your own if we don't take steps to expose this new phase of government over-reach and their police state tactics of oppression.  I encourage you to take action now by getting involved with The Committee to Stop FBI Repression.

Justice Department Report Criticizes FBI Spying On Anti-war Groups

The Justice Department’s Inspector General has issued a report critical of the FBI for its spying on anti-war activists, animal-rights groups, and environmentalists. The report, entitled A Review of the FBI’s Investigations of Certain Domestic Advocacy Groups, said the “terror” investigations were “unreasonable and inconsistent with FBI policy.”

In fact, since the creation of the FBI in 1935, the agency has served as a secret police force and has been used against official enemies of the state, including the civil rights and anti-war movements.

Prior to the establishment of the FBI, J. Edgar Hoover, as special assistant to attorney general A. Mitchell Palmer, used the Espionage Act of 1917 and the Sedition Act of 1918 to launch a massive campaign against official enemies, mostly labor activists, communists, and anarchists. The effort to “neutralize” — as Hoover called it — opposition to the government reached its zenith in the 1960s with the FBI’s Counter Intelligence Program, or COINTELPRO.

If the Inspector General’s report reveals anything, it is that COINTELPRO is alive and well today. “From this broad review we identified particular FBI investigations and other activities that potentially implicated the First Amendment activities of the groups or their members,” the report explains.

“A separate Justice Department investigation released earlier this year concluded that the bureau used lies and trickery to illegally obtain thousands of records, then issued after-the-fact approvals in an attempt to cover it up,” writes Alex Newman for the New American. “That report claimed agents repeatedly and knowingly violated the law by invoking non-existent ‘terror emergencies’ to get access to information they were not authorized to have. And among those targeted were journalists.”

“The FBI gave inaccurate information to Congress and the public when it claimed a possible terrorism link to justify surveilling an anti-war rally in Pittsburgh, the Justice Department’s inspector general said Monday in a report on the bureau’s scrutiny of domestic activist groups,” reports CBS and the Associated Press.

In other words, the agency lied to the American people when it said the Thomas Merton Center, a nonviolent anti-war organization, was a haven for terrorists. According to the FBI, people involved in civil disobedience, trespassing and vandalism are engaged in terrorist activities.

The Justice Department report underscores a pattern of continuing government abuse. Last week it was revealed that the Pennsylvania department of Homeland Security had hired an Israeli company to spy on Second Amendment activists and the Tea Party. “Pennsylvania militia groups apparently are planning on attending” a pro-Second Amendment rally, the Israeli company, the Institute of Terrorism Research and Response, said in a bulletin. It warned law enforcement might have to provide “crowd control.”

Hamilton and Kean Call for Domestic Terrorism Agency

The federal government needs an agency specifically charged with identifying radicalization or working to prevent terrorist recruitment of U.S. citizens and residents, according to a report issued by Tom Kean, Lee Hamilton, and the Washington-based Bipartisan Policy Center’s National Security Preparedness Group. Kean and Hamilton led the effort to blame cave-dwelling Muslims for the attacks of September 11, 2001.

The Kean and Hamilton report on domestic terror and “radicalization” dovetails with an effort by the Obama administration. Obama’s national security strategy includes a “new interagency effort that brings together key stakeholders” and continued “outreach to communities across the country,” according to Ben Rhodes, the White House’s deputy national security adviser.

“Our long-held belief that homegrown terrorism couldn’t happen here has thus created a situation where we are today stumbling blindly through the legal, operational and organizational minefield of countering terrorist radicalization and recruitment occurring in the United States,” claims the report, which cites Anwar al-Awlaki as an example of the “Americanization” of terrorism. Other examples cited include the “failed” Times Square non-bombing, the Christmas day fizzled underwear non-bombing, and the highly suspicious Fort Hood shootings.

As Webster Tarpley notes, the “fiery double agent” and “imam-provocateur” al-Awlaki played a key role in entrapping patsies in the Fort Dix and Toronto non-terror cases. His email exchange with the Fort Hood shooter, Army Major Nidal Hasan, was not considered important enough to warrant action by the government.

The report also mentions David Headley, a man of “conflicted loyalties” (in other words, he worked for an intelligence agency) who was linked to the the Lashkar-e-Taiba attacks on Mumbai in late 2008 that killed more than 160. Lashkar-e-Taiba is a creation of Pakistan’s ISI, the intelligence agency that collaborated with the CIA to create the Taliban and the Afghan Mujahideen, later to become al-Qaeda.

The FBI has worked to “reach out” to Somali communities “in an effort to counter the radicalization of the youth,” the Associated Press reports. In 2009, however, a coalition of Arab and Muslim groups said the FBI was infiltrating mosques and using agents provocateurs. “It is exactly what the FBI did in the ‘60s and ‘70s under its discredited and outlawed COINTELPRO policy. It seeks to disrupt, discredit and criminalize the Muslim community,” said Jim Lafferty, the executive director of the National Lawyers Guild in Los Angeles.

The FBI is notorious for recruiting and setting up patsies who are then used by the government and corporate media as examples of over-blown domestic terrorism.

The prospect of scary Muslim suicide bombers — never mind the absurdity of the Christmas day and Times Square non-bombings — is being used to go after the real threat to the government: patriotic Americans. As the Department of Homeland Security report on “right-wing extremism” leaked to the media last year reveals, the government considers constitutionalists and returning veterans the primary terrorist threat, not Muslims. The corporate media has led the effort to demonize the Tea Party movement as violent white supremacists while portraying coverage of supposed Muslim terror as Islamophobia.

Any “new interagency effort” to combat domestic terrorism — in large part contrived by the government and instigated by FBI agents provocateurs — will primarily concentrate not on clueless Muslims and wanna-be al-Qaeda shoe bombers, but the American people.

According to the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI, it is not the Koran that leads to “radicalization,” but the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, and the will of an increasing number of politically active Americans demanding the nation return to its roots as a constitutional republic.

Phony Muslim terror — invariably snipped in the bud and then blown out of proportion for propaganda purposes — will be used as an excuse to create yet another bureaucratic agency assigned to attack the American people and put the finishing touches on a police state control grid.

FBI Warns of Possible Terrorist Response to “Burn Koran Day”

Infowars.com has received a bulletin released by the FBI warning of a possible terrorist response to “International Burn A Koran Day,” an event scheduled for the ninth anniversary of the September 11 attack to be held by the Dove World Outreach Center in Gainesville, Florida.

Last year, the church distributed t-shirts reading “Islam is of the Devil.” On August 26, 2009, Fox Newsreported that students were sent home from Florida schools for wearing the t-shirt.

Earlier today, General David Petraeus, currently the top U.S. commander in Afghanistan, said the Taliban would exploit the demonstration for propaganda purposes. “It could endanger troops and it could endanger the overall effort,” Petraeus told the Wall Street Journal. Hundreds of Afghans attended a demonstration in Kabul on Monday to protest the event to be held in Florida.

On September 5, thousands of Muslims protested the event in Indonesia. Rokhmat Labib, chairman of the Islamic group Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia, said Muslims must not remain silent when their faith is threatened. Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia is an international pan-Islamic political organization whose goal is for all Muslim countries to unify as an Islamic state. Indonesia is the world’s largest Muslin nation.

“While the FBI has no information to indicate a specific attack has been planned against the United States or US assets in response to the ‘International Burn a Koran Day’ event, the FBI assesses with high confidence that, as with past incidents perceived as acts of desecration against Islam, extremist actors will continue to threaten or attempt to harm the leaders, organizers, or attendees the event, scheduled for 6:00-9:00pm on 11 September 2010 in Gainesville, Florida. Depending on the continued national and international publicity the event receives, it may also inspire retaliatory attacks against US facilities overseas,” the unclassified document states.

The Dove World Outreach Center has posted a Facebook page announcing the event. Following the announcement, the FBI visited the Dove World Outreach Center in Florida.

According to the document, the “FBI makes this assessment with high confidence due to credible threat information from FBI human and open sources as well as the historical significance of this event type.” Media coverage of the event “will most likely have political and national security implications,” including “violent demonstrations within the United States and abroad, threats and/or acts of violence from terrorist organizations and/or lone extremist actors.”

On August 23, WOKV, a radio station in Jacksonville, Florida, reported on threats made against the Dove World Outreach Center and its pastor, Terry Jones. “One jihadist website vowed to conduct suicide bombings in Florida to avenge the Koran burning, while others predicted an increase in terrorist recruits as a result of such actions,” WOKV reported.

The FBI bulletin cites a threat posted on the al-Faloja website earlier this month. “I wish to detonate myself in this church now, out of vengeance for the word of the Almighty Allah, and I register myself here that I want to become a martyr and detonate myself in this filthiest filth, to cleanse earth of it.” According to the FBI, the comment was detected by an “online covert employee whose information has been verified.”

In July, administrators of the website warned that “enemies of Allah have stolen the account information of one of the Al-Faloja Islamic Forums administrators, and…caused havoc in the forums.” In June, an al-Faloja administrator, Abu al-Aina’a al-Khorasani, warned members of the forum of an “infiltration operation” targeting the website.

In March of 2009, ten U.S. Muslim organizations said the FBI has sent undercover agents posing as worshipers into mosques, pressured Muslims to become informants, labeled civil rights advocates as criminals and spread misinformation, according to CNN. The American Muslim Taskforce on Civil Rights and Elections said the FBI has also used agents provocateurs against Muslims.

The FBI has a long track record of using agents provocateurs against legal political organizations. The Church Committee investigation of the FBI’s illegal COINTELPRO operation revealed that federal agents have infiltrated political organizations and instigated violence since the Palmer Raids in 1919.

In October of 1994, Paul DeRienzo, Frank Morales and Chris Flash revealed FBI complicity in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. FBI Informant Edam Salem, a former Egyptian army officer and explosives expert, built the bomb used in the attack with FBI supervision. Salem attempted to replace the explosive with harmless material to thwart the plotters, but the plan was called off by the FBI, according to the New York Times.

From the Fort Dix terror case to that of the Liberty Seven in Miami and beyond, the FBI has consistently played an instrumental role in instigating and provocateuring would-be terror attacks. “The federal authorities seem none too concerned about stopping any real terrorists and are instead obsessed with manufacturing patsies, bankrolling, radicalizing and prodding rag-tag groups to attempt attacks so that the massive slush fund that is the ‘war on terror’ can be prolonged,” wrote Paul Joseph Watson following the highly suspicious Pentagon shooting earlier this year.

In fact, there is a mountain of evidence revealing the indisputable fact that the FBI, CIA, British intelligence and the Mossad are behind most if not all major terrorist attacks. From Osama bin Laden’s irrefutable connection to the CIA to 7/7 “mastermind” Haroon Rashid Aswat’s ties to British intelligence, we see a consistent pattern of government sponsored terror exploited for both domestic and foreign policy objectives. In sum, there are hundreds of incidents of government manufacturing false flag terror for political gain.

It is not clear as of this writing if the government will be involved in a possible violent response to the Dove World Outreach Center plan to burn Korans on the anniversary of September 11. It is highly suspicious that a website posting threats promising to violently retaliate against the event was the target of an alleged infiltration operation.

In the highly charged atmosphere following the so-called Ground Zero Mosque incident, any violence in Florida or elsewhere in the United States will certainly feed the government propaganda machine that incessantly cranks out warnings of Islamic terror. If terror occurs this week, it will certainly be exploited by the corporate media and the government to further the bogus war on terror, bulwark imperial designs in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Pakistan, and provide impetus to finish the police state control grid in America.
