DHS wastes your money and they don’t care

James Smith, Contributor

According to one study, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) wastes taxpayer dollars like they are going out of style. Clink on the links in the previous sentence to learn more about past wastes.

The wastes that are spoken of in this article come from books, yes books, that the DHS deems necessary for students of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center should have. But they should have them at your  expense, not the agency that sent them. They could have visited Amazon.com and saved over 600 bucks of yourmoney, but they didn’t.

They know better and yet they refuse to be frugal with such a precious resource. Below you will find the book that FLETC demands of the students, and their costs:

Subject: An open letter regarding FEMA camps

1) Secretary Napolitano, it is with great hesitancy I write this letter to you. This is a letter that no American should have to write. It is a letter with great expectations and little hope of those expectations being met.

DHS wants drones – but won’t have to pay for them during Civil War II

James Smith, Contributor

When the DHS put in the solicitation for "participation in the Robotic Aircraft for Public Safety (RAPS) project from the small unmanned aerial systems (SUAS) for transition to its customers" many people believed that the DHS was working on buying drones to watch over the sheeple before, during, and after mass civil disorder.

But they won’t need to.

Drones, or Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) have been used by Homeland Security for more than 5 years in the United States. Four units were to be purchased by the end of 2007, covering land and sea. However, UAV’s can cost more than double that of a manned aircraft due to the logistical support, specialized pilots, and maintenance training required.

In 2011, the Hawaiian Islands were due to have UAV monitor the coastlines. Repeated requests for more details were ignored by the  State and the contractor, Hawaiya Technologies. According to ACLU Senior Staff Attorney Daniel Gluck, “Use of ‘Unmanned Aerial Vehicles’ or ‘drones’ by law enforcement has a vast potential for abuse.”

“The Hawaii Supreme Court has already ruled that warrantless infrared surveillance of people’s homes is an unconstitutional invasion of privacy. The ACLU of Hawaii will monitor the details of this particular program (the kinds of technology used to perform the surveillance and the areas where it is used) to ensure it does not intrude on Hawaii residents’ and businesses’ protected privacy rights.” Gluck said.

Did the new Alternative Media actually save American lives?

James Smith, Contributor

Put this in the “I don’t believe it” file, but something unusual has happened. The Department of Homeland Security /Immigration Customs Enforcement (DHS/ICE) has CANCELLED their request to purchase 176,000 rounds of .308 hollow point boat tail ammunition. According to an email that was passed onto me, Harry at the Federal Service Desk stated that a notice could be cancelled for a variety of reasons.

This isn’t the story of one man writing an article and the government folding. This is the story of one man writing one article, and according to Google, about 56,000 resulting links for the search string, “More sniper ammunition being ordered by DHS. Who are the targets”.

At my end, I found thousands of people that read the article, and many shared it either on a social website, or in an email to a contact. Major alternative media websites like Prison Planet picked up the story and pushed it further along the blogosphere. No matter how you cut it – the story went out and people read it.

There are a few reasons why the DHS may have cancelled the notice.

First was the ammunition, now comes the weapons

Keep the people ignorant and afraid and control and power becomes a detail – a self-generating byproduct of the people’s hysteria . . . The universal methodology of the tyrant is always incrementalism. -- Derek Audette

James Smith, Contributor

First came the ammunition requests, and now it’s time for the weapons. The incremental creep of arming government thugs continues one step at a time, one breath at a time, until it becomes one American death at a time.

Department of Homeland Security has placed an initial order of up to 7,000 5.56x45mm North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) personal defense weapons (PDW), with a contract life of 5 years, to numerous Department of Homeland Security components, which includes Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE), and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC).

The winner of the contract would receive the assured minimum is $30,000 but not to exceed the maximum ceiling of $9,800,000.

Law Enforcement snooping on your Wi-Fi is now literally part of the training

James Smith, Contributor

The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) will scan or grope your body at airports whether you like it or not. Cameras will scan your face and behavior in the streets. Your phone calls are being intercepted and fed into a major FBI database for threat analysis. And now the DHS’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) has requested something besides an ungodly amount of ammunition – The ability to locate and “read” the data or phone calls from your home.
(1) Agency and Contracting Activity. The Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Procurement Division proposes to contract on a basis of other than full and open competition for geolocation surveillance equipment from SRT Wireless, Inc. This surveillance equipment is required in support of the Wi-Fi Exploitation and Location Training Program (WETP) at FLETC, Glynco, Georgia.
(2) Nature and/or description of the action being approved. The purpose of the subject equipment is for use in Center Advanced training in the Technical Operations Division specifically in the WETP, and the lesson plans covering device geolocation and in various practical exercises and laboratory environments, at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center, Glynco, Georgia. This equipment is the only equipment that has the feature of minimization which allows agents to "turn off" surveillance equipment when required.
FLETC students are taught to arrest, confine, kill, sweep an area, and now stick their noses in our Internet.

DHS/ICE is over-gunned and over-manned

James Smith, Contributor

In trying to make sense of the ammunition purchases, which DHS/ICE canceled the orders for blank .308 rounds. 25,000 rounds, by the way, I decided to match apples to apples for fairness.

What I found fails the smell test of common sense and reason. But we are talking about the largest grab of brass and lead of all time by a man who only knows how a weapon fires from his time in “Pock-Is-Stan”.

Big Sis has requested another 120,000,000 rounds of .40 S&W ammunition. And, this time, it is to be CLEARLY used and segregated from duty ammunition. How clearly marked? From the RFI :

  • Can company produce ammunition with cartridge cases that are uniquely colored to ready distinguish them from DHS duty ammunition.
  • Can company produce individual packaging boxes uniquely colored to ready distinguish them from DHS duty ammunition.
  • Can company produce training ammunition capable of accuracy comparable to current duty ammunition standards?
  • Can company manufacturer 30 million rounds of this training ammunition annually?
Remember, the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is the largest investigative agency in the Department of Homeland Security, and is responsible for enforcing the nation’s immigration and customs laws. ICE has more than 20,000 employees working in 400 offices in the U.S. and around the world.

More sniper ammunition being ordered by DHS. Who are the targets?

.308 175 grain hollow point boat tail
James Smith, Contributor

Surprise! The DHS Immigration and Customs Enforcement have requested more ammunition.

However, it is the type of ammunition and not necessarily the quantity that is troubling.

First on the agenda is the .223 rifle ammunition. Just a measly 40 million rounds in the first year, and another 160 million rounds in the following four years. 200,00 million rounds in total. You know, just enough to make you cringe thinking that some government office that is not military has more ammunition than you do.

The .223 caliber round is a decent hunting round, but those are not the rounds to be concerned about.

The .308 rounds should have you a bit concerned. Quite a bit concerned.

Why the .308? Because the same folks at DHS think they need two types of .308 caliber rounds.Blank ammunition and 168 grain hollow point boat tail ammunition.

The blank ammunition will be spread to five different locations in the American south east and in Puerto Rico. The regular ammunition will be spread all over the US in a variety of places.

Blank ammunition? Why blank ammunition?

Big Sis buys yon bonny bagpipes and gets overcharged in the process

McLellan Pipes
James Smith, Contributor

Just when you thought the madness at the Department Of Homeland Security could not get any worse, DHS, on behalf of Customs and Border Protection agency, requests the purchase of, and awards the purchase of 12 MacLellan Bagpipes made from African Blackwood.

Surely, these pipes will be used to sing Amazing Grace at the funerals of fallen agents. An appropriate use, no doubt.

But they were overcharged! Ya gotta love the Scots. They know a sucker when they see one, and Big Sis is . . . well, that can’t be confirmed.

As the Scottish proverb goes, “Never marry for money, ye can borrow it for cheaper”

Folks, you’ll love this.

FEMA requests even more emergency food

James Smith, Contributor
On the 31st of August, 2012,  FEMA requested 1.1 Million low sodium MRE’s to help with the demands from Hurricane Isaac. They needed to be shipped on September 1st.

On September 1st, at 10:18 PM ET, FEMA transmitted another solicitation for MRE’s. This time, the standard “Commercial Meal” MRE for those not on a restricted diet.
This Request for Quote is for a commercial Meals Buy and does not include reduced-sodium meals. The purpose of this RFQ is to request for unit prices of commercial meals only, and all other related costs like frieght (sic) costs will be determined at the time of order.
The response deadline on this RFQ is 2 September 2012, no later than 4.00 PM ET, less than 18 hours after the request was made.

What are commercial meals? According to associated document, they are meals that fall under the following guidelines:

President Announces Open Season On Combat Veterans

The White House Briefing Room released another Executive Order, this time to “help” veterans who may be suffering from mental health issues. And in doing so, adds to the government payroll future union members and drains on the American economy.

For Immediate Release August 31, 2012

EXECUTIVE ORDER

IMPROVING ACCESS TO MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR VETERANS, SERVICE MEMBERS, AND MILITARY FAMILIES

There have many stories on how veterans have been “helped” by the VA and other hospitals. It’s the kind of help no one wants.

FEMA needs another 1 Million MRE’s due to Hurricane Isaac – tomorrow

James Smith, Contributor

Due to Hurricane Isaac landfall and subsequent stalling, the Department of Homeland Security finds that they need 1,100,000 low sodium MRE’s to cope with the sudden demand.

And they literally need them tomorrow.

The shipment date is set for 1 September 2012. From the solicitation:

Southern CA Rocked with over 160 quakes in 21 hours

James Smith, Contributor

Over eight score quakes have hit the small community area of Brawley, CA in the past 21 hours. At last count, 162 quakes have struck the county along the Mexican Border. The area affected lies on the Imperial Fault Zone. This fault is directly south of San Andreas fault.

Six of these quakes measured over 4.0, the strongest being magnitude 5.5. Many quakes are occurring one to 5 minutes apart.

The quakes are reminiscent of the El Hierro quakes that began in July of 2011, and after thousands of quakes a new volcano formed off the south tip of La Restinga. This area is remote and away from heavily populated areas.

It should be noted that the USGS failed to report any of the El Hierro quakes.

We will keep you updated as time allows. Quake map and full report below.

Sixty Quakes Strike So Cal in 16 hours

James Smith, Contributor

Since 9:30 PM PDT, there have been sixty earthquakes in the Brawley, CA region, near the Mexican border.

The depths have been less than 20km below the surface and of modest magnitude.

Does this foretell a major event?

Quite possibly. However, the best gauge of any future event would be a continuing of the events, or a spread along the San Andreas fault.

US Forest Service has an immediate need for ammunition

James Smith, Contributor

Another US agency has submitted a request for a variety of ammunition. This time it is the US Forest Service in the Pacific Southwest Region of the United States, which is responsible for 20 million acres of National Forest land in California and assists the State and Private forest landowners in California, Hawaii and the U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands. There are eighteen national forests located in this region.

The amounts appear to be just enough for training of staff needed to manage such a large area, as well as arm themselves against methamphetamine kitchens and illegal grow farms.

Here are the requested items.

The History Of DHS Ammunition Purchases

This year will go down in history. For the first time, a civilized nation has full gun registration. Our streets will be safer, our police more efficient, and the world will follow our lead into the future.
– Adolf Hitler

The question of whether a leader is good or a tyrant is an age old question. Being the one who wears the crown opens you up to criticism from all levels, and, to be quite frank, you can’t make everyone love you.

This article is to outline purchases by the Department of Human resources since August 2002, a ten-year span. The Department of Homeland Security was created by then President Bush as a preventative measure from further terror attacks on American soil. And since its inception has been fodder for skeptics and fuel for those demanding a smaller, unintrusive government.

Below you will find the lists of solicitations, hyperlinked to their pages located at http://www.fbo.gov.

Could ineffectual equipment be part of the False Flag attempt?

James Smith, Contributor
Activist Post

The possibility of a False Flag attack to end the Rule of Law and of the Constitution has been of much talk recently. We have stories of massive amount of explosives being purchased by the Transportation Safety Administration, as well as the TSA contracting for role players to pretend to be the bad guys.

Part of doing something of this nature, is not to destroy assets and resources. The number one asset and resource that businesses have is its people.

And what better way to provide the assets safety than to not harm them in any way.

Consider the following:

Inept Gov’t employees cause unnecessary panic

James Smith, Contributor
Activist Post

A bombshell exploded within the Alternative Media world when it was announced by a few websites that the Department of Homeland Security had just re-ordered another 700 million rounds of ammunition for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) in Glynco, GA.

I did not believe that for one minute, because I took the time and I counted each and every single type and quantity of ammunition being requested. See the article HERE. And the article I wrote actually hit the wires first. It was basically ignored because of the newer bombshell.

This is the Excel chart that I made to account for the ammunition: HERE (PDF).

And this video outlines the total ammunition in this order, as well as all past DHS orders since Mr. Obama took office:

The problem was simple, and avoidable. This is the second mistake made by a government employee who has not had their work reviewed.
