10 Modern Methods of Mind Control

Nicholas West
Activist Post

The more one researches mind control, the more one will come to the conclusion that there is a coordinated script that has been in place for a very long time with the goal to turn the human race into non-thinking automatons.  For as long as man has pursued power over the masses, mind control has been orchestrated by those who study human behavior in order to bend large populations to the will of a small "elite" group.  Today, we have entered a perilous phase where mind control has taken on a physical, scientific dimension that threatens to become a permanent state if we do not become aware of the tools at the disposal of the technocratic dictatorship unfolding on a worldwide scale.

Modern mind control is both technological and psychological.  Tests show that simply by exposing the methods of mind control, the effects can be reduced or eliminated, at least for mind control advertising and propaganda.  More difficult to counter are the physical intrusions, which the military-industrial complex continues to develop and improve upon.

1. Education -- This is the most obvious, yet still remains the most insidious.  It has always been a would-be dictator's ultimate fantasy to "educate" naturally impressionable children, thus it has been a central component to Communist and Fascist tyrannies throughout history.  No one has been more instrumental in exposing the agenda of modern education than Charlotte Iserbyt -- one can begin research into this area by downloading a free PDF of her book,The Deliberate Dumbing Down of America, which lays bare the role of Globalist foundations in shaping a future intended to produce servile drones lorded over by a fully educated, aware elite class.

2. Advertising and Propaganda -- Edward Bernays has been cited as the inventor of the consumerist culture that was designed primarily to target people's self-image (or lack thereof) in order to turn a want into a need.  This was initially envisioned for products such as cigarettes, for example.  However, Bernays also noted in his 1928 book, Propaganda, that "propaganda is the executive arm of the invisible government." This can be seen most clearly in the modern police state and the growing citizen snitch culture, wrapped up in the pseudo-patriotic War on Terror.  The increasing consolidation of media has enabled the entire corporate structure to merge with government, which now utilizes the concept of propaganda placement.  Media; print, movies, television, and cable news can now work seamlessly to integrate an overall message which seems to have the ring of truth because it comes from so many sources, simultaneously.  When one becomes attuned to identifying the main "message," one will see this imprinting everywhere.  And this is not even to mention subliminal messaging.

3. Predictive Programming -- Many still deny that predictive programming is real.  I would invite anyone to examine the range of documentation put together by Alan Watt and come to any other conclusion.  Predictive programming has its origins in predominately elitist Hollywood, where the big screen can offer a big vision of where society is headed.  Just look back at the books and movies which you thought were far-fetched, or "science fiction" and take a close look around at society today.  For a detailed breakdown of specific examples, Vigilant Citizen is a great resource that will probably make you look at "entertainment" in a completely different light.

4. Sports, Politics, Religion -- Some might take offense at seeing religion, or even politics, put alongside sports as a method of mind control.  The central theme is the same throughout: divide and conquer.  The techniques are quite simple: short circuit the natural tendency of people to cooperate for their survival, and teach them to form teams bent on domination and winning.  Sports has always had a role as a key distraction that corrals tribal tendencies into a non-important event, which in modern America has reached ridiculous proportions where protests will break out over a sport celebrity leaving their city, but essential human issues such as liberty are giggled away as inconsequential.  Political discourse is strictly in a left-right paradigm of easily controlled opposition, while religion is the backdrop of nearly every war throughout history.

5. Food, Water, and Air -- Additives, toxins, and other food poisons literally alter brain chemistry to create docility and apathy.  Fluoride in drinking water has been proven to lower IQ; Aspartame and MSG are excitotoxins which excite brain cells until they die; and easy access to the fast food that contains these poisons generally has created a population that lacks focus and motivation for any type of active lifestyle.  Most of the modern world is perfectly groomed for passive receptiveness -- and acceptance -- of the dictatorial elite.  And if you choose to diligently watch your diet, they are fully prepared to spray the population from the above.

6. Drugs -- This can be any addictive substance, but the mission of mind controllers is to be sure you are addicted to something.  One major arm of the modern mind control agenda is psychiatry, which aims to define all people by their disorders, as opposed to their human potential.  This was foreshadowed in books such as Brave New World.  Today, it has been taken to even further extremes as a medical tyranny has taken hold where nearly everyone has some sort of disorder -- particularly those who question authority.  The use of nerve drugs in the military has led to record numbers of suicides.  Worst of all, the modern drug state now has over 25% of U.S. children on mind-numbing medication.

7. Military testing -- The military has a long history as the testing ground for mind control.  The military mind is perhaps the most malleable, as those who pursue life in the military generally resonate to the structures of hierarchy, control, and the need for unchallenged obedience to a mission.  For the increasing number of military personal questioning their indoctrination, a recent story highlighted DARPA's plans for transcranial mind control helmets that will keep them focused.

8. Electromagnetic spectrum  -- An electromagnetic soup envelops us all, charged by modern devices of convenience which have been shown to have a direct impact on brain function.  In a tacit admission of what is possible, one researcher has been working with a "god helmet" to induce visions by altering the electromagnetic field of the brain.  Our modern soup has us passively bathed by potentially mind-altering waves, while a wide range of possibilities such as cell phone towers is now available to the would-be mind controller for more direct intervention.

9. Television, Computer, and "flicker rate"-- It's bad enough that what is "programmed" on your TV (accessed via remote "control") is engineered; it is all made easier by literally lulling you to sleep, making it a psycho-social weapon.  Flicker rate tests show that alpha brain waves are altered, producing a type of hypnosis -- which doesn't portend well for the latest revelation that lights can transmit coded Internet data by "flickering faster than the eye can see."  The computer's flicker rate is less, but through video games, social networks, and a basic structure which overloads the brain with information, the rapid pace of modern communication induces an ADHD state.  A study of video games revealed that extended play can result in lower blood flow to the brain, sapping emotional control.  Furthermore, role-playing games of lifelike war and police state scenarios serve to desensitize a connection to reality.  One look at the WikiLeaks video Collateral Murder should be familiar to anyone who has seen a game like Call of Duty.

10. Nanobots -- From science fiction horror, directly to the modern brain; the nanobots are on the way.  Direct brain modification already has been packaged as "neuroengineering." A  Wired article from early 2009 highlighted that direct brain manipulation via fiber optics is a bit messy, but once installed "it could make someone happy with the press of a button."  Nanobots take the process to an automated level, rewiring the brain molecule by molecule.  Worse, these mini droids can self-replicate, forcing one to wonder how this genie would ever get back in the bottle once unleashed. Expected date of arrival?  Early 2020s.

A concerted effort is underway to manage and predict human behavior so that the social scientists and the dictatorial elite can control the masses and protect themselves from the fallout of a fully awake free humanity. Only by waking up to their attempts to put us to sleep do we stand a chance of preserving our free will.

What Kind Of Mood Are The American People In As We Enter 2011?

The American Dream

Around the end of the year a ton of polls and surveys get taken.  Media organizations love to get a "snapshot" of how the American people are feeling as the new year begins.  So what kind of mood are the American people in as we enter 2011?  Well, if the polls are to be believed, they are less optimistic, they are a bit scared, they are very frustrated and they are becoming increasingly angry.  A solid majority of Americans believe that the country is moving in the wrong direction and they desperately want someone to fix the economy.  What Americans seem to want most of all are good jobs.  At the end of the day, Americans want to be able to pay the mortgage and put food on the table.  If they can't do that, then what is going on with other "important issues" really isn't going to seem very important to most of them.

So is it a good sign that for the week ending December 25th that claims for unemployment benefits fell below 400,000 for the first time in a very, very long time?

Well, it turns out that claims for unemployment benefits decline every year right around the holidays and they decline every time a major winter storm hits much of the country.  Considering the fact that both of those things have happened recently means that we shouldn't be celebrating too much yet.  Let's see what happens after the holidays and when the weather gets a bit better.

The truth is that the official unemployment rate has been hovering just under 10 percent for the entire year and people are getting really tired of searching day after day for good jobs that don't seem to exist.

The following is a compilation of recent poll results that show just how frustrated and angry the American people are becoming as we enter 2011....

The American People Are Dissatisfied With The Economy
A recent Bloomberg National Poll found that two-thirds of Americans believe that the country is headed in the wrong direction.  But most Americans felt we were going in the wrong direction under George W. Bush as well.  The truth is that the American people are going to continue to be frustrated with the "direction of the country" until the economy starts to show some sustained improvement.

So are things going to get better soon?

Well, one thing is for certain.  Americans are becoming less optimistic.

In a recent Pew Research survey only 55 percent of Americans said that the year ahead would be "better".  That was significantly down from 67 percent who believed that the year ahead would be "better" back last January.

According to that same Pew Research survey, a whopping 89% of Americans rate national economic conditions as "fair" or "poor", and 79% say that jobs are difficult to get in their local communities.

As noted earlier, that is the main thing that most Americans want.  Most Americans want to be able to work hard and provide for their families.  But for millions of Americans today that has not been a reality for a very long time.

So will more good jobs be created soon?

Well, a majority of new jobs in the United States are created by small businesses, and right now small business owners do not have a very positive view of the coming year at all.

A recent survey of small business owners found that 25 percent believe that the U.S. economy is getting better but 51 percent believe that it is getting worse.

Hopefully the economy will at least stabilize a bit in 2011, because if it doesn't, the poll numbers are going to look really ugly next year at this time.

Biometric Security Now Reality: Coming Soon to Android

Alicia Gomez
Android Headlines

Biometric security has long been desired on our phones to provide the most secure way to protect your phone from unwanted intrusion. BluePlanet Apps, maker of RoboPrint and dTor, has been developing this app for quite some and is nearly ready for a Beta release.

At the Apps World Conference, BluePlanet Apps CEO Jason Braverman presented BioLock to an audience including Samsung, who he says are interested in having it on their phones. BioLock is a truly futuristic concept brought to life by scanning either your iris, recognizing your face, or using a password to unlock your phone.

The app uses Army-grade algorithms for face modeling when doing facial recognition and even has blink detection and pupil dilation to prevent someone from merely using a photo of you.

Without you physically there to scan your face or iris, no one can have access to your phone. Perhaps you do not need to lock down your phone completely but just prohibit access to specific apps, for example, your text messages. Whenever entering the app, Biolock is activated before opening.

The 12 Biggest Lies

It has been said that it takes two to establish a lie – one to lie and one to listen. Today’s society is full of opinions and deceptions being sold as “truths”.
How do you react when you hear these opinions? How do you weigh out the facts from the deception? Do you consider yourself an independent thinker…one who doesn’t immediately take what is being given to you as solid truth, but one who prefers to uncover the whole truth for yourself?
Actor Kevin Sorbo hosts this release, along with some of the world’s leading scientists, historians, theologians, philosophers and authors challenging the conventions of popular thinking with twelve widely held beliefs about areas as diverse as religion, morality, politics, history, and more, all of which the program asserts are lies.
Director, writer and producer, Andre` van Heerden is on a mission to uncover the truth in his newest documentary, The 12 Biggest Lies. Heerden, who has worked in virtually every aspect of film and video production, has written, produced and directed numerous documentaries, television programs and feature films, including Left Behind: The Movie (co-producer), Left Behind: World at War (producer), Revelation, Tribulation, Judgment and Deceived (director) and, most recently, Saving God (producer). Next up for one of the most well-known and accomplished Christian filmmakers is The 12 Biggest Lies, a riveting documentary that will help to open peoples’ eyes and minds to some of the biggest misconceptions and deceptions running rampant in today’s society.
As with any documentary out there,  it is an opinion (interpretation) based on facts and personal beliefs they’ve gathered. Did I find everything discussed in The 12 Biggest Lies 100% true for me? No. However, it is a very interesting medium and I did find validity in a lot of what was said.  It definitely opens a lot of doors for discussion, ie: what is moral or good, and how does society function on a daily basis?
You can now download a Free copy of The 12 Biggest Lies Study Guide, a learning companion to the newest shocking documentary from Cloud Ten Pictures.

Disturbing Developments in the Baby Cheyene Case

UPDATE: December 30th, 2010
Due to the nature of gag orders I have to be circumspect with what details I give out here, so I apologise for the sketchiness of this update. I am sure you all understand.

Stephanie Janvrin and Johnathon Scott Irish are still pursuing custody of Stephanie's two boys, Kamon and Jonathan. It is likely to go to the Supreme Court soon, which is why we have been circumspect in reporting the case. Johnathon has expressed confidence that the Supreme Court are likely to find in their favour with regards to both custody and full parental rights over the boys, which could explain the actions of the New Hampshire Child Support Division, as written about earlier.

Meanwhile, the family are still struggling to make ends meet, especially with regards to legal costs. Those who can aid this family in their legal costs can send donations to the following care-of address:

41 Campground RD
Northwood, NH 03261
USA

I would assume that cheques can be made out to either Stephanie Janvrin or Johnathon Irish.
As always, I will update you all with information concerning this case as and when I receive it.

Philip Brennan

On Wednesday the 29th of December, Stephanie Janvrin received a demand for $4119.33 from the New Hampshire Child Support Division with menaces. The demanded money is for the "maintenance" of her other two children in care, Kamon and Jonathan, who were taken illegally from Stephanie and Jonathon's custody in relation to false allegations which were later disproved during the Baby Cheyenne custody battle earlier this year.

There is no evidence to suggest that the two boys ever came to any sort of harm under Stephanie and Johanthon's care, but still, the CPS removed their children from their care for purely spurious and political reasons before Cheyenne was born.

The legal battle to obtain the return of these boys into the rightful care of their parents is still ongoing, and due to gag orders and other constraints, we have been unable to report this despite our wishes to do so.

The demand for $4119.33 is due on the 1st of January 2011, a mere four days away, and this couple do not have the means to pay such a demand. Failure to pay this amount could mean that Stephanie Janvrin runs the risk of imprisonment.

The baby Cheyenne case
On the 7th of October this year, the CPS in New Hampshire took Stephanie and Jonathon's new born daughter into custody shortly after birth. They used spurious reasons for doing so, including, but not limited to, Jonathon's association with Oath Keepers, a political organisation dedicated to reminding serving police and military personnel of their oaths of office under the US Constitution. The New Hampshire CPS described this group as a "militia", which is both inaccurate and libellous.

Another false charge levelled against Jonathon Irish is a supposed former criminal history, which was later found in a court of law to belong to another John Irish with a totally different Social Security Number. This was either a gross case of mistaken identity or a deliberate attempt by New Hampshire CPS to slander Jonathon Irish during the ensuing custody court battle.

While baby Cheyenne was in the custody of foster parents, evidence came to light of either gross neglect or sexual abuse, which the CPS first tried to cover up, and when this failed on the testimony of a Sheriff who was present when the evidence was uncovered, they then tried to pin the blame on Jonathan. Fortunately for this couple the Sheriff was having none of this, and backed them up to the hilt against the CPS.

The Sheriff even tried to get baby Cheyenne to a specialist doctor to gain forensic evidence against the foster carers for either neglect or abuse, but the CPS blocked all moves in this direction.

The following day, October the 14th, Stephanie Janvrin and Jonathon Irish appeared in court for the custody of Baby Cheyenne, which they duly won. Their daughter was returned to their custody later that afternoon.

Since then, both Stephanie Janvrin and Jonathon Irish have been engaged in a legal battle to have their two boys returned to them. Due to gag orders I have not been able to report on this matter, and I myself am still waiting to hear the status of this case.

This demand with menaces for $4119.33 through the New Hampshire Child Support Division is a continuation of the constant harassment of this couple through the CPS. As I wrote in an earlier report, child stealing by the state is often used as a weapon of political terror against those who are politically active, or who are classed as dissidents or enemies of the state. This first started in Stalinist Russia, and spread to Nazi Germany, post-war East Germany (DDR) and later to Maoist China. It appears that this weapon of political terror in order to chill free speech is now becoming more prevalent here in the west.

I will keep you updated on this case as I get further developments.

How To Be A World-Class Survivalist in 5 Simple Steps

Joy Paley
Activist Post

With the recent econopocalypse, it’s no wonder that people are becoming more interested in what it would take to survive after our current society has undergone a major shift. After all, if something we thought was intrinsically stable—our financial sector, and the guarantee of ever increasing wealth—is actually pretty flimsy, well, a lot of other things can be brought into question too. Take out a seemingly small piece of the puzzle, like access to gasoline, and you find that your local grocery will run out of goods within 2 days. Learning the basic skills to survive without the modern conveniences of society is a way to prepare yourself for these unpredictable shifts. And, the skills you’ll hone in the process—self-reliance, problem solving, and cleverness—are ones that will definitely benefit you in your everyday life.

1. Get In Shape
It’s not that exciting of a tip, but it’s probably the most important in terms of survival. Having an in-shape cardiovascular system will mean that you’ll be able to run, forage, and do any other intense aerobic activity that comes with living outside of society. Keeping your muscles strong is to key for chopping wood, building shelter, and generally being useful when physical brawn again becomes as important as intellectual ability.

2. Learn Basic Wilderness Skills
Before you hit the military surplus store for thousands of dollars worth of MRE rations, first put a little effort into really getting good at basic skills for navigating outside of your comfort zone. First, learn how to build a fire, without a gallon of fire starter and newspaper. Review how to build a protective shelter outside and how to find water. These three most basic skills aren’t easy—but they are sure to come in handy when you’ve got no lights, heat, or running water.

3. Invest Wisely in Supplies
Now that you’ve shown your commitment to survivalism by knowing a few basic essentials, you can consider investing in the supplies that will make your life easier, after society’s collapse. Don’t head down to your local REI store though—you can burn through your entire nest egg on commercial wilderness and survival gear at those fancy places. Think utility and budget.

•    Stock up a pantry of canned goods—think beans, tuna, veggies, fruit, and soups
•    Get bulk basics like oil, sugar, salt, peanut butter, rice, lentils, and any other grains you prefer
•    Pick up a rechargeable LED flashlight for every member of your family
•    Get several 5 gallon jugs of water
•    Create a comprehensive first aid kid
•    If you don’t have one, purchase a firearm and stock up on ammunition

4. Learn How to Feed Yourself
No matter how many Costco jugs of peanut butter you buy, your food stock isn’t going to last forever. Any survivalist has to know how to feed themselves when the going gets tough. This includes growing food, foraging, fishing, and hunting. Stock up on seeds, and start with a small vegetable garden. Learn to identify and find edible and medicinal plants in your area. If you’ve never hunted, start small. Find, catch, kill, and cook a rabbit or squirrel to start.

5. Learn Antiquated Skills
Back before the days of Super Wal-Mart and excess income, regular people like you and me knew skills for surviving the year. In the winter when there weren’t any fresh fruits and vegetables, people depended on canned, pickled, smoked, and other preserved food that they had prepared in the summertime. Candles offered valuable light, and handmade soap kept them clean. These are the types of skills that will not only keep you alive longer, but will actually make living a little more enjoyable.

Conflicts of Interest and Personal Agendas at The Heart of Codex Alimentarius Health Tyranny

Brandon Turbeville

In the last two articles, I have discussed the flawed principles of “risk assessment” techniques when applied to vitamins and minerals, as opposed to the toxic substance the term was intended for. Improper application, nutrient group, as opposed to the nutrient form approach, and lack of acknowledgment of positive effects of nutrients all combine to establish a strong case against “risk assessment” methods. However, there is one more angle to “risk assessment” that must be pointed out in regards to vitamin and mineral supplements -- the establishment of Maximum Permitted Levels.

To further understand the danger of using Risk Assessment to test nutrients, one must understand how the process works. Dr. Rima Laibow gives an excellent synopsis:

First a group of test animals, mice, rats, rabbits, et cetera, are given increasing amounts of the toxin of interest. The dose is increased until half of the animals are dead. The dose at which 50 percent of the test animals die is called the Lethal Dose 50 (LD50). A similar dose is extrapolated for humans.
Next, the other end of the dose spectrum is investigated by giving test animals smaller and smaller doses until no impact can be identified from the dose of the toxin to establish the Maximum Upper Limit (MUL). The MUL is divided by a safety factor, typically 100. The dosage that results is called the Maximum Permissible Upper Limit.[1]
Here of course, the “toxin” being administered is a nutrient -- a vital component of human life. This in itself is a contradiction. Add to that the fact that the Maximum Upper Limit is set at the level where there is no impact, then further reduced by a safety factor division, and you begin to see the purpose of banning nutrients coming to fruition.

Although the synopsis given above is admittedly a simplistic one, the end result is as described above -- the dosage of the substance being tested is reduced further and further until no impact (positive or negative) is observed, this figure is then divided by another number (depending on the evaluation but usually 100) which results in the Maximum Permissible Upper Limit. Already, at the end of such a procedure, dietary supplements are reduced to a state where they are virtually useless. Yet the insanity does not end there.

The goal of reducing nutrients to virtually nonexistent levels continues with the creation of Maximum Permitted Levels.  Dr. Rolf Grossklaus, Chairman of the Codex Committee on Foods for Special Dietary Uses (one of the Codex committees that deal with nutrition) and Director of the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment,[2]brought to the committees’ attention what is labeled as the Global Expectable Average Daily Diet.[3] This is essentially what is estimated to be the average diet of all human beings in the world and their nutritional intake as a result of that diet. However, the Global Expectable Average Daily Diet does not take into consideration populations with lower nutritional intake such as Third World countries. It is simply an average that everyone is lumped into.[4] But because populations with very low levels of nutrient intake are not properly included in the estimate, this leaves only those countries where higher levels of nutrient intake exists, falsely providing results that suggest the Global Average Daily Diet is higher than it is.

Essentially, the levels of acceptable nutrient intake will be ratcheted down based on the populations with the highest amounts of nutritional intake. This process removes countries with low level intake of nutrition from the equation, providing Codex with a higher Global Average Daily Diet which it will then use to reduce the levels of vitamins and minerals even further. [5]

This stance is enumerated in the Codex “Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements” when it is stated, “Most people who have access to a balanced diet can usually obtain all the nutrients they require from their normal diet.”[6] Such a statement is laughable to anyone who has studied health and nutrition, because anyone who has done so knows very well that even in the most highly developed countries in the world we do not receive nearly enough nutrients from our daily diet. Yet Codex is working on the supposition that everyone eats the same diet (on average) and that they get all the nutrition they need from it.

Nevertheless, the Global Expectable Average Daily Diet is then used to subtract the amount of nutrition we allegedly receive from our diets from the Maximum Permissible Upper Limit set by Codex. The value that results is the new Maximum Permitted Level,[7]  -- a value that lowers the acceptable level of nutrients even further. As Paul Anthony Taylor illustrates:

If the upper safe level for vitamin B6 is calculated to be 10mg, as recommended by the UK’s Expert Group on Vitamins and Minerals, and the average daily intake of vitamin B6 from food is calculated to be 2.9mg, as was stated to be the case for men in the UK’s National Diet & Nutrition Survey in 2003, then the “maximum permitted level” of vitamin B6 in supplements could potentially be set by regulators at a mere 7.1 mg. [8]
The rationale is that since we are already receiving a certain amount of nutrients from our food, we must take that amount of nutrients into consideration when establishing a “Maximum Permitted Level” for nutrients in general. Hence the lowering of the “safe” levels.

It should be noted that, while the differences between the Upper Safe Levels and Maximum Permitted Levels are slight, they are still important. One of the main and most important differences is the method by which Maximum Permitted Levels are reached with the further lowering of nutritional content using the Global Expectable Average Daily Diet mechanism. But even semantic differences play a role in the reduction of nutrients as the designation of “Maximum Permitted Level” carries with it a more authoritative and restrictive tone, an important aspect when dealing with scientific, legal, and regulatory labeling. MPLs deal with Maximum Permitted Levels, abandoning the cover language of safety guidelines and moving its motives more out in the open.

The process of establishing Maximum Permitted Levels began in 2005 with recommendations made by the German Federal Institute for Risk Assessment (BfR), the first organization to carry out this task. It should also be noted that not only will BfR be instrumental in providing “scientific” information to Codex, but that Dr. Rolf Grossklaus is BfR’s Director. This is the same Dr. Grossklaus that is the chairman of the Codex Committee on Nutrition and Foods for Special Dietary Uses and has become somewhat famous in the health freedom community for his tyrannical methods of conducting meetings,[9] as well as for making the claim that nutrition is only for maintaining health, not for the prevention or treatment of diseases.[10]

Indeed, Dr. Grossklaus was one of the leading scientists of the team that conducted the studies used in BfR's standings.[11] This is particularly concerning in light of the context of the CCNFSDU as Dr. Grossklaus is the man responsible for guiding the Commissions’ position on the safety of these substances. In this instance, the Chairman of the Codex committee requesting an assessment on nutrients is also the Director of the company conducting the assessment, as well as one of the leading scientists in the assessment itself. True science would never allow someone with such a blatant conflict of interest to take part in these studies. This, however, is business as usual with Codex.

But the clearly unscientific manner in which risk assessment is conducted apparently knows no bounds. Dr. Rima Laibow comments on this obvious conflict of interest further by saying:
Dr. Grossklaus uses his position to bludgeon through his own personal agenda and that of the European Union (EU) representative to Codex and CCNFSDU, Mr. Basil Mathioudakis. The two of them confer regularly as if there were no other members present and whatever the antinutrient Dr. Grossklaus and Mr. Mathioudakis agree upon is the 'outcome' of the deliberations. [12]
Dr. Laibow’s assessment is a fairly accurate one. The methods by which Codex reaches its “consensus” are dubious to say the least. In fact, the “consensus” as declared by the CCNFSDU bears little resemblance to any other real consensus being reached on any other board. Scott Tips, who has regularly attended Codex meetings as an observer, elaborates further:
The Chairman was a German, Dr. Rolf Grossklaus, who ran the Codex meetings in an innovative (to me at least) way. After much discussion on a topic, and especially after the German government delegate did not seem to have anything more to say, the chairman would somehow psychically determine that a “consensus” had been reached or not reached by the delegates and the group would move on to the next topic of discussion. I never once saw a vote taken or even the slightest hint of a show of hands; the outcome was all calculated in Dr. Grossklaus’ marvelous brain as he scanned the room and remembered how many had spoken for or against each proposal. Of course, the squeaky wheels counted the most; the silent ones not at all. We Americans, who suffer from this obsessive notion that votes must actually be counted before deciding upon an outcome, might learn much from this economical and quick means of “voting.” In fact, stupid me, why even vote when the chairman could just decide for all of us?[13]
Anyone who has attended these meetings with the expectation of observing some form of democratic input by anyone except the chairman or the EU must have been seriously disappointed. Indeed, this has been the impression of virtually every health freedom advocate that has ever attended these meetings.
