America targets Iran. It does so ruthlessly. It's done it since 1979. It wants its sovereignty destroyed.

It wants pro-Western puppet leadership instead. It wants its independent government replaced. It wants its oil and gas, stupid. It wants unchallenged regional control.

Hassan Rohani's election doesn't matter. He's Iran's President-Elect. He'll be inaugurated on August 3. He combines diplomacy, politics and scholarship. He's known as the "Diplomat Sheikh."

Obama offended him. He didn't congratulate him. He doesn't recognize his legitimacy. Failure to do so shows unprincipled contempt.

He urges peace and reconciliation. He pledged "constructive interaction with the world." He didn't just promise. He means it.

War or No War on Iran?

In Shakespearean terms, indeed that's the question. Longstanding regime change plans are known. Means to achieve them have been ongoing for years. 

A previous article put it this way:

Red lines, time lines, deadlines, sanctions, sabotage, subversion, cyber attacks, assassinations, saber rattling, falsified IAEA hype, ad nauseam warmongering, Netanyahu/Barak bluster, spurious accusations, manipulated to fail P5+1 talks, and inflammatory headlines up the stakes for war.

Washington also uses color revolutions. Some work. Others don't. Iran's so-called "green" one was made in America.

After Iran's June 12, 2009 election, days of street protests and clashes with security forces followed. Washington stirred the pot and caused them. They replicated previous efforts elsewhere. Regime change is the common thread.

Iranian Cameraman Defects Just in Time For US State Dept. to Frame Iran With Nukes

Miraculously, the US State Department has recently received a request for asylum in America from an Iranian defector who provided video of Iranian nuclear facilities at Natanz. Hassan Golkhanban, journalist and former member of the loyal Bassij militia and cameraman for Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad during the last appearance at the UN has turned over “the most complete and updated footage” that just happened to be carted to the UN General Assembly meeting last month. 

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) then received the mass of photos and videos of secret nuclear and missile sites from Golkhanban. Amid them are elite interior shots of the Natanz nuclear complex, the Fordo underground enrichment plant, the Parchin military complex and the small Amir-Abad research reactor in Iran. In return, Golkhanban is now at an undisclosed CIA safe house under close guard.

Brookings Institution's "Which Path to Persia?" Report Detailing Conspiracy Against Iran Redirected on Website

Update from Tony Cartalucci: Brookings has moved around their documents, leaving dead links for anyone who cited them over the years. All documents cited by Land Destroyer will now be hosted online using Scribd, and linked to that way.

Those who have been following Tony Cartalucci's articles about geopolitics and the strategies employed by Western governments to destabilize the Middle East and surrounding regions have no doubt seen many references to the 2009 "Which Path to Persia?" report.

This report is key proof that what we are seeing around the world today is not by accident; it was a well-coordinated effort that we see unfolding by the day according to scripts created by think-tanks such as Brookings Institution. For those who might be new to this material, this single report, as Tony Cartalucci points out, "conspires against the nation of Iran. Plots include using terrorists, provoked war, economic warfare, and covert military and political subversion against the Iranian people."

Brookings has now moved their documents. This creates a large amount of dead links on both our site, as well as Cartalucci's Land Destroyer.  In an effort to preserve this key document both sites are posting the embedded report in full below.

Neocon Think-Tank Director Suggests False Flag Needed to Start War With Iran

Patrick Clawson, deputy director of research for the Washington Institute for Near East Policy(WINEP) was caught on film last week suggesting that crisis initiation (i.e. a false flag) is needed to “get America into war with Iran.” Clawson has very little confidence that Obama “can get us into war.”

WINEP was founded in 1985 by Martin Indyk, former US Ambassador to Israel and former deputy director of research for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC) which is the largest and most influential Zionist-controlled pro-Israeli lobby on Capitol Hill. Other founders of WINEP include self-proclaimed Zionists such as Paul Wolfowitz, president of the World Bank from 2005 – 2007; Cheryl Halpren who worked for the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (PBS); neocon Daniel Pipes; Bud McFarlane, involved in the Iran-Contra affair; Eugene Victor Rostow, former dean of education at Yale Law School; and James Woolsey, former director of the CIA.

The Neo-conservatist (neocon) perspective originates in Trotskyism and Stalinism which is the “belief is that life of the civil society should be directed and regulated by the all-powerful State (in both its political and economic domains).” As a neocon, Clawson adheres to the Communist-based philosophy that the domination of the state in society and the symbol of the head (as realized by the President) is as the royal decree that their power to rule is divinely imbued.

Neocons have infiltrated nearly every corner of our government as placed in high-level and official standing.

The western Presstitute media uses every lie to demonize the Iranian government. On September 28 in a fit of unmitigated ignorance, the UK rag, Mail Online, called the president of Iran a “dictator.” The Iranian presidency is an office filled by popular election, and the authority of the office is subordinate to the ayatollahs. Assange is demonized alternatively as a rapist and a spy.

The western media and the US Congress comprise the two largest whore houses in human history. One of their favorite lies is that the Iranian president, Ahmadinejad, wants to kill all the Jews. Watch this 6 minute, 42 second video of Ahmadinejad’s meeting with Jewish religious leaders. Don’t be put off by the title. Washington's Blog is making a joke.

Last week the news was dominated by the non-existent but virtually real Iranian nuclear weapons program. The Israeli prime minister, Netanyahu, blatantly intervened in the US presidential election, demanding that Obama specify the “red line” for attacking Iran.

Israel Provides “Intelligence” That May Prompt US to Join Iranian Strike

The UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has decided that intelligence coming from Israel saying Iran has advanced their work on nuclear technology is credible. And that Israel has calculated their “destructive power” through computer models – and have for the last 3 years. IAEA is now convinced that Iran will have nuclear capability by November.

The Obama administration is hoping to exert some pressure on China and Russia to persuade them to stop supporting Iran militarily. In a bogus resolution, combined with influence from Israel, the Obama administration is feigning diplomatic talks, while the persistence of Zionist-controlled Israel demands violent strike against Iran.

US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has met with her counterparts representing Germany, China, Britain and France to negotiate a secret deal. Behind closed doors, these nations are unifying against Iran.

The Declining West: Tragedy or Comedy?

During the Vietnam War, Sweden was an independent country with a moral conscience, and Sweden gave sanctuary to US war protesters who refused the draft. Washington realized the cost to itself and purchased the Swedish government in order to prevent a recurrence of moral conscience on the part of any Western government.

In the aftermath of World War II and during the subsequent decades of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, the Western nations presented themselves as the moral conscience of the world. It turns out that this was largely a hoax.

The “Western nations” are merely pawns complicit in Washington’s crimes as Washington attempts to shut down all information in its pursuit of world hegemony. 

Canada: Selling Its Soul to America

On September 7, Foreign Minister John Baird said Canada closed its Tehran embassy. It expelled Iranian diplomats in Ottawa. They have five days to leave. He claimed a nonexistent Iranian threat. He took a page from AIPAC's playbook. He bogusly called Tehran the gravest threat to global security.

He accused Iran of "providing increasing military assistance to the Assad regime." He ignored Washington's war Syria. He said nothing about Canada's role. 

Did Obama Just Make A Deal With Israel To Delay The War With Iran Until After The Election?

Barack Obama cares about Barack Obama far more than he does about either Israel or Iran. And as far as Barack Obama is concerned, delaying the coming war between Israel and Iran until after the election is what is best for Barack Obama.

Just think about it. If Israel attacked Iran right now, who would that please? It would mostly please hardcore Republicans, and they are not going to vote for Obama anyway. To independents and liberals, Obama would look like a guy that couldn't stop war from happening in the Middle East. If the U.S. showed support for the Israeli attack, that would greatly discourage his anti-war supporters from going to the polls. If the U.S. did not show support for the Israeli attack, Obama would potentially lose many of the Jewish voters that he desperately needs in swing states such as Florida.

A war between Israel and Iran is a no-win situation for Obama right now, and as I wrote about yesterday, the Obama administration has been trying to discourage Israel from attacking Iran for weeks. Well, now it is being reported in major international news sources that a deal has been reached between Obama and Israel.

Irresponsible leaders risk the unthinkable. Media scoundrels cheerlead mindlessly. So do neocon think tanks. Ordinary people are more concerned about mundane trivia than survival.

Nero didn't fiddle while Rome burned. The violin wasn't invented for another 1,500 years. Today's officials go where earlier ones wouldn't dare. They risk regional or global disaster. War on Syria and/or Iran may ignite more than leaders bargain for. 

Imagine blowing up the world to control it. Imagine forces able to stop it staying sidelined. Imagine the unimaginable. Imagine it before it's too late to matter.

World War II weapons were toys compared to today's. Before war ended, tens of millions died. Estimates range from 50 - 70 million. No one knows for sure. Preventing war would have saved them. A world war that was hoped never again to happen became perpetual conflicts.

Obama replicates hardline neocon extremism. He did what supporters thought impossible. He surpassed the worst of Bush. Imagine what'll do in a second term. 

Obama and Netanyahu Lay Out Plans to Strike Iran

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has come out publicly to state that he will authorize a military strike on Iran before US elections in November. With the Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, this is viewed as a preparatory strategy as the operation to destabilize and takeover Syria and Iran is prime on Israel’s colonization agenda to control the Middle East.

In New York, at the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu and Obama discussed their plans to use military and propaganda to justify and cover their agenda against Iran.

Tom Donlion, National Security Advisor to Obama and Ron Demer, senior advisor to Netanyahu are devising a “four-point plan” to implement Israeli strategies into US foreign policy concerning Iran.
