When we began this journey four years ago to rant about the establishment and curate the most important news of the day, we never imagined that nearly a million people would visit our blog each month. Your support has humbled us beyond measure.

Yet, despite record traffic, our ad revenue is insufficient to advance our mission to promote peace and liberty. The good news is that the great awakening is growing exponentially, the bad news is truth telling doesn't always pay the bills.

We started this blog part time, as a maddening itch for truth and justice that had no foundation in prestige or in making money. It is no mystery what we are up against: a corporate-government media machine that continues to expand their desire to shut out dissenting voices and alternative information. They even resort to labeling peaceful activism or political dissent as "terrorism," and reading alternative information as potentially "becoming radicalized on the Internet." 

Ideas of peace, love, and liberty have great power. In fact, the establishment is scared to death of these ideas taking root. Anyone who desires control over others would naturally be terrified of these principles because they are the precise antidote to their agenda. But they have incredibly vast resources at their disposal, and all we have in independent news is each other. Our crowd. Our tribe. You!

We always envisioned an open-source platform that would rise or fall based on the merit of the information, and hard work and dedication. However, there are very few ways to make money in open-source media and stay true to our principles. We originally chose market-based advertising as our chief source of revenue because it’s voluntary, but we know many of you despise the advertisements. 

But, alas, fighting the war of ideas against the established order takes more than passion. It takes action and it takes resources. It takes the crowd support for alternative media to survive and thrive.

In the past we've opposed offering a subscription news service because we believe information this important must be free, but now we clearly see value in offering an Ad-Free experience. That said, we will always maintain the free version of our website with ads.

Death Toll Rises in Syria: United Nations

In yet one more example of the tragic nature of the Anglo-American destabilization campaign[1] against Syria, United Nations Secretary Ban Ki-moon has raised the official death toll in Syria to 100,000 from the previous number of 93,000 which was established last month.[2]

Ki-moon called on both the Syrian government and the foreign-backed death squads[3] to halt the violence and has issued calls for a peace conference in Geneva “as soon as possible.”[4]

Ironically, Ki-moon made these statements just before talks with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry who was standing nearby as the UN Secretary made his remarks. Kerry then stated that he had spoken with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov yesterday and that both Russia and the United States were committed to bringing peace to Syria.[5]

Both the United States and Russia are attempting to convene a peace conference in Geneva along with the United Nations in order to discuss the formation of a “transitional government.” Russia agreed to call for such a government in mid-June 2013. Russian President Putin then signed a statement at the G8 summit which called for “a transitional governing body with full executive powers, formed by mutual consent.” The statement, however, stopped short of calling for Assad to step down, a fact that sent warmongers such as David Cameron into fits of rage.[6]

Independent News Site Fraudulently Blacklisted by Internet Explorer After Negative Bill Gates Article

Is the Internet Blacklist already being enforced via web browsers?  Microsoft's Internet Explorer recommended that visitors should not access Activist Post today, claiming the site contains threats to outside computers.  First, we want to assure all of our visitors that this is blatantly FALSE. Our site does not contain any viruses, malware, or data-harvesting capabilities.  We have a voluntary and confidential sign-up mechanism for our free weekly newsletter, which apparently now falls under the category of illegal data mining according to Microsoft.

Our website runs on a Google Blogger back-end which immediately declines any material that may be "malicious."  This back-end also makes it easy for us to scan our entire site for potential viruses or other problems.  This scan is, and always has been, 100% clean.  Furthermore, our technical team ran a check at Website Grader which tests various aspects of a site, including cleanliness Activist Post scored a 97% (FAR above the average).  Yet, Microsoft has taken an anonymous tip from a user as enough evidence to deter access to our site.  Meanwhile, other browsers such as Chrome, Safari, and Firefox have similar malware protection, yet none of them flagged Activist Post today.

What's interesting about the timing of this possible censorship is that it comes on a day when we posted an article that reflects negatively on Bill Gates.  It appears that his empire carries out vendettas by deterring access to websites not favorable to their overlord.  We did receive a complaint through our contact form from a reader listing the e-mail address: office@heavenaboveyourlife.com.  This email address is not valid and the domain is not currently registered. 

All of the information about the cleanliness of our site, and the potential false tip, was easily obtained by our tech staff within minutes.  Why couldn't a behemoth like Microsoft do the same?

This appears to be the latest tactic the establishment will use to shut down access to alternative voices, making visitors believe that the site is "harmful" to their computer.  We have been informed by Microsoft that this is basically a guilty-until-proven-innocent situation, since we certainly weren't contacted to counter any claim in advance of the warning they posted. 

Internet Explorer users represent 42% of our visitors, while representing a similar overall market share.  For alternative sites that are 100% user-funded through visiting sponsors and donations, this can be a damaging blow that has the potential to force people out of business.  Welcome to the free market of ideas.

Our technical team is working hard on restoring our site to Internet Explorer users.  Presently, it is fully accessible and safe to view from Firefox, Google Chrome, and Safari.  In protest of such shenanigans, we hope that readers will drop IE and use a different browser, as this type of censorship is likely to continue from the Gates Gestapo.  One can also send a statement to Microsoft that our site has been clean in your experience.  Click HERE to submit.

Snowden May Have Been a Deliberate Infiltrator for Liberty

The ongoing real-life spy story of Edward Snowden has had some people wondering if he is the real deal, a man driven by conscience after seeing the spying apparatus from the inside, a CIA asset ... or perhaps a deliberate infiltrator.

As covered in the video below, Snowden has aligned himself with WikiLeaks and is now taking a flight to parts unknown with their assistance.

A new twist to the story is that Snowden stated to The South China Morning Post that he deliberately took his position with Booz Allen Hamilton so that he could collect documents as evidence of NSA's spying on American citizens.

"My position with Booz Allen Hamilton granted me access to lists of machines all over the world the NSA hacked," he told the Post on June 12. "That is why I accepted that position about three months ago."

He has also claimed that he uncovered NSA hacking into systems in Hong Kong as well - the destination he first chose for his flight from the United States. Snowden's timeline could become something of interest for U.S. prosecutors who have charged him under the 1917 Espionage Act.

Is Social Media Leading Us to a Hyper Revolution?

It is a fact that the entire world desperately needs a revolution. The global managers know this, and have stated that they are frightened of the widespread political awakening. 

Global connectivity has definitely lent a hand -- for the first time, websites and blogs issuing independent analysis and research can go head to head with the massive production budgets and funding received by corporate media. What was once the "mainstream media" should better be called the "propped up media" -- on a level playing field of ideas they are losing fantastically. 

Social media has become the new mainstream media. As the video at the end of this article illustrates, the number of people involved is simply staggering. In much of the alternative media, we refer to the sharing of information as the infowar. And even Hillary Clinton has used that phrase ... to announce that she and her globalist counterparts are not doing well in that war.

However, as David Icke has stated: "We must become street smart" if we are going to seal our victory and protect ourselves from government propaganda designed to lead us down a dead-end street.

School Suspensions Continue for Anything Remotely Gun Related

The hysteria surrounding the threat of gun violence continues at fever pitch. We have seen a string of school suspensions in recent years for ludicrous reasons such as:

• Kindergarten Student Suspended For Pink Bubble Gun Threat In Pennsylvania
• Second-grade student suspended over toy gun (FL)

And there are plenty more.

The latest comes from Arizona where a Florence student was suspended for having an AK-47 on top of a flag as his desktop background image. That's right: Daniel McClaine, Jr. was suspended for three days over a picture.

Domestic Drone Industry Booms

The drone arms race has gone global. But inside the United States, a study by the Association For Unmanned Vehicle Systems International (AUVSI) showed why drone proliferation continues to ramp up at a nearly exponential rate: it has become one of the fastest growing areas of the U.S. economy. A report entitled, "The Economic Impact of Unmanned Aircraft Systems Integration in the United States" is clear in its conclusion that competition for jobs and tax dollars created by drone tech development is likely to provide the impetus to loosen state regulations on drone use. The AUVSI latest projection is that well over 100,00 new jobs will be created in the first years of full integration.

Of course the AUVSI has a vested interest in promoting drone use despite the organization's "non-profit" status. From their About Us page they don't hide their goals and connections:

Police Brutality Breaks Out at Late Bloom Occupy Istanbul, Turkey

What started out today as a peaceful sit-in protest to save trees in Gezi Park in central Istanbul's Taksim Square ended in serious injuries, chaos and destruction. Police in riot gear and gas masks led a dawn raid against demonstrators, firing tear gas bombs and water cannons at the crowds. A Facebook message to us reports that it is about more than just trees - the people are tired of police state bully tactics.

Government renovation was going to uproot the trees "to make way for a replica Ottoman army barracks and a shopping mall" -- protesters say this is the last green space in Istanbul center. Peaceful demonstrations began on Monday and at some point, a court order delayed the uprooting. Police raids dispersed the gathering literally firing tear gas canisters at the people. Pictures of the ammunition flying out can be seen here.

 

Twelve people are seriously injured, six have brain injuries including an Egyptian tourist now having surgery for brain hemorrhaging. A Reuters photographer was also injured. Hundreds are suffering with respiratory complications from the gas.

Twitter Ordered to Turn Over Data on Occupy Protester

Twitter has been ordered by a New York judge to hand over the account information and tweets of an Occupy Wall Street protester who was arrested during the mass arrest on the Brooklyn Bridge this past fall.

Reuters reports:

Criminal Court Judge Matthew Sciarrino, who is overseeing the hundreds of criminal cases stemming from Occupy-related arrests, rejected the idea that Twitter would violate protester Malcolm Harris' privacy by turning over the information. 

"If you post a tweet, just like if you scream it out the window, there is no reasonable expectation of privacy," the judge wrote in his decision. He said he would review the information himself and release relevant portions to both prosecutors and Harris' lawyer. 

The Saturday ruling, released on Monday, marks the second time in three months that Sciarrino has rejected an attempt to quash a subpoena in the case.
