Watch this video where the director of the Southern Poverty Law Center blames the Giffords shooting on "right wing political beliefs:"



Basically, they ignore the real reason that Jared Loughner became violent (i.e. mental illness), and blame it all on his political views.  This is simply irresponsible.  Would it be fair of me to say that supporting Obama causes people to become criminals?  How about after I see the following mug shots?

Just because we know someone's political views doesn't mean that we can use those views as an explanation for their actions.  Nor can we use those political views to label those people as being dangerous, or a potential threat.  Jared Loughner did not shoot Gabrielle Giffords because of his right wing views anymore than the criminals in these mugshots committed their crimes because they support Obama.  When we start calling people crazy or dangerous because of their legitimate political views, we aren't far from making those views illegal.

Orwell spoke of thought police in his famous book 1984.  Although we may not officially have thought police (yet) in America, the media is certainly pushing an agenda and teaching us how to think.  Through this type of indoctrination, many people will start believing that "right wing" views are dangerous, and start treating people with those views differently -- calling in "tips," conducting surveillance, forcing them into counseling, and costing them their jobs.  We won't need "thought police," because the mainstream media is teaching us to police each other's thoughts.  These types of stories, and irresponsible publications such as the MIAC report, can only lead to wild accusations against free-thinking people.

This type of rhetoric, whereby we blame the acts of madmen on views they may share with sane people, sends us down a dangerous path of the government and mass media telling us what we are allowed to believe -- lest we be labeled "threats."

Panics, orchestrated crises, media hype and propaganda have been used in the name of “protecting the people” for generations. Governments have resorted to this to further gain control over free populations. This happened most recently during the H1N1 Flu “Pandemic” of 2009 and the Hurricane Katrina tragedy before that. The H1N1 Flu scare saw government and media exploitation of the facts to scare people into lining up for the Swine Flu vaccine; a vaccine that was not widely tested and saw Health and Human Services Director Kathleen Sebelius shield both the government and vaccine makers from lawsuits for problems arising with the vaccine. The Hurricane Katrina disaster proved that American’s are truly not free, as some New Orleans residents found they could not rely on their Constitutional Rights. Local police and National Guard disarmed and drove residents from their homes, even though most were prepared to stay. Training given to “peace officers” for use during emergency scenarios indicates there could be a total loss of liberties for the United States population. What happened to their oath to protect and defend our Constitutional Rights? CNN, the Southern Poverty Law Center and other media outlets air special “reports” and name call anyone who questions the government as “conspiracy theorists” in an effort to suppress information. Yet, with the de-classification of decades-old documents, it can be found that many of these “conspiracy theories” are not so theoretical after all. It’s Official: Southern Poverty Law Center Is Now Part of DHS

As the below document makes clear, Southern Poverty Law Center is Now Officially Part of DHS. The CEO of SPLC now sits on the DHS “Working Group on Countering Violent Extremism” along with the leaders of other So-called Non Government Organizations (but can we really call them such now that they are part of the government?) And select “law enforcement” officers such as the Clark County Nevada Sheriff, Doug Gillespie.  What does the working group do?  Make recommendations on training and how to use all of the local resources – police, social services, media, NGO’s, you name it – to fight “extremism.  So, now no need to file a FOIA request to discover that SPLC is writing the reports naming constitutionalists as possible terrorists.  Now it is in your face and the mask is off.

When you read the below document, keep in mind the current ordeal of the Irish family where their newborn baby was taken based on an affidavit that notes the father’s “association with a militia group known as Oath Keepers.”. Pay attention to who sits on this panel (see pages 26-30), to who DOESN’T, how they plan on reaching DHS tentacles down into every level of society, and how they talk overtly about the need to utilize local SOCIAL WELFARE and MENTAL HEALTH agencies to counter “violent extremism.”. In other words, what is now being done to the Irish family will be done all over.

This is the overt politicization of DHS, to use it against political enemies
