Researchers have long known that there is water in the form of ice on Mars. Now, new research from NASA's Mars rover Curiosity shows that it is possible that there is liquid water close to the surface of Mars. The explanation is that the substance perchlorate has been found in the soil, which lowers the freezing point so the water does not freeze into ice, but is liquid and present in very salty salt water - a brine. The results are published in the scientific journal Nature.
In August 2012, the Mars rover Curiosity landed on Mars in the large crater, Gale, located just south of the equator. The giant crater is 154 kilometers in diameter and the rim of the crater is almost 5 kilometers high. In the middle of the crater lies the mountain, Mount Sharp. In over 2½ years, Curiosity has travelled more than 10 km from the landing site towards Mount Sharp and has carried out many studies along the way.

NASA Puzzled By Massive Methane Cloud Above Miles of Fracking Wells
YouTuber only needs seconds to help solve methane mystery that has establishment scientists puzzled.
By Dutchsinse
News broke early morning April 9, 2015 that a giant cloud of methane has been detected over Southern Colorado / Northern New Mexico near the Four Corners region where Utah, Arizona, Colorado, and New Mexico meet.
NASA + NOAA , as well as several other organizations are puzzled about the source of the methane.. blaming natural causes, and coal operations?
Maybe they don't have access to Google Earth, which might explain why they don't know the "cause" of the giant methane cloud. Watch video below...

Bill Nye: 'We need carbon tax to redistribute wealth...need gov't to run things...everyone else should shut up'
Activist Post
Bill Nye The Science Guy gave a speech showing him to be the latest cheerleader for authoritarians.
The final moments of the 'climate change' awareness speech to promote his new book were captured on the video below. There's no description in the video of where the event took place, but it seems to be from the National Science Teachers Conference earlier this month.
Some of the featured quotes he said to roaring cheers, "we need carbon tax to redistribute wealth...we need government to run things...everyone else should shut up" .
This may seem shocking to some (especially the cheering part), but Bill Nye has also recently called for heavy population reduction in line with eugenicists' "solution" to alleged climate change.

Exploring Our False Reality
By TruthstreamMedia
Reality may not be what you think it is. As long as people remain asleep, those who seek power and control will continue to manipulate and engineer the masses, right down to the structure of our very reality.

Quantum Relativity and Why It's Important
By SCG
The bridge between quantum physics and general relativity requires a paradigm shift in order for scientists to connect the dots. But scientists aren't the only ones who will benefit from understanding this connection. The lesson is that rules of the game are not nearly as rigid as they appear to be, and that reality is a creative process which we're all engaged in.

10 Questions About the Pineal Gland That Add to the Mystery of Spirituality
The pine cone shaped, pea-sized pineal gland, located in the center of the human brain, is an organ of tremendous interest these days. To many spiritual seekers it is the ‘seat of the soul‘ and the ‘third eye,’ the anatomical part of the human body that acts as our spiritual antennae, connecting us to the non-physical, spiritual planes of existence. However, to many scientists and rigid materialist thinkers, it is strictly an endocrine gland responsible for the secretion of the hormone melatonin, a substance which, among other things, aids in the regulation of our circadian rhythms.

USGS Study: Yellowstone Eruption Would Send Ash Across North America
In the unlikely event of a volcanic supereruption at Yellowstone National Park, the northern Rocky Mountains would be blanketed in meters of ash, and millimeters would be deposited as far away as New York City, Los Angeles and Miami, according to a new study.
An improved computer model developed by the study’s authors finds that the hypothetical, large eruption would create a distinctive kind of ash cloud known as an umbrella, which expands evenly in all directions, sending ash across North America.

Jeffrey Smith Challenges Neil deGrasse Tyson on GMOs

Heather Callaghan
Astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson made waves last week with a video and Facebook letter aimed at critics of genetically modified organisms in food. His argument spun the idea that the process to achieve a GMO is exactly the same as traditional agricultural techniques.
There were writers who called him out on enmeshing genetically engineered organisms (transgenics) in crops with traditional practices of selective breeding. In "round three" of Tyson's statements he continues the enmeshment. Jeffrey Smith, founder of Institute for Responsible Technology, has challenged that basis below.
To use an analogy from Brandon Turbeville in Codex Alimentarius: The End of Health Freedom:
...This argument would be akin to claiming that breeding of humans of different ethnic backgrounds is the same as breeding between humans and horses.Obviously, you can see that "genetic modification" holds two completely different meanings in that context. But Tyson wants everyone to believe it is all the same practice "for tens of thousands of years." That people concerned about the GMO method are rejecting all of history's agricultural gains due to lab-phobia.

Neil deGrasse Tyson Thinks GMOs Originated 10,000 Years Ago?
![]() |
Not a god. |
Of course not - he is, after all, a PhD - but he will let fans think that.
Neil deGrasse Tyson is an astrophysicist, Cosmoshost, and is beloved for his sense of humor and putting complex concepts into layman's terms. He is an Internet sensation as the subject of memes and is paid homage in YouTube video series like Epic Rap Battles of History.
After a talk, a French journalist asked Tyson - allegedly about genetic modification. Tyson told GMO critics to "chill out," but had more to say about how we have always altered the world's biology to serve us for tens of thousands of years.
There are major problems with the logic presented in this clip and his response to the backlash.

Scientist Warns 'Solar Super-Storms' Are Inevitable and a Significant Threat
Activist Post
In this month's issue of Physics World, Ashley Dale from the University of Bristol warns of the "catastrophic" and "long-lasting" impacts of "solar super-storms" and the dangers we face if the threat continues to go unnoticed.
Dale, who was a member of an international task force – dubbed SolarMAX – set up to identify the risks of a solar storm and how its impact could be minimized, explains how it is only a matter of time before an exceptionally violent solar storm is propelled towards Earth. Such a storm would wreak havoc with our communication systems and power supplies, crippling vital services such as transport, sanitation and medicine.
"Without power, people would struggle to fuel their cars at petrol stations, get money from cash dispensers or pay online. Water and sewage systems would be affected too, meaning that health epidemics in urbanized areas would quickly take a grip, with diseases we thought we had left behind centuries ago soon returning," Dale writes.

Stanford biologist warns of early stages of Earth's 6th mass extinction event
Bjorn Carey
The planet's current biodiversity, the product of 3.5 billion years of evolutionary trial and error, is the highest in the history of life. But it may be reaching a tipping point.
In a new review of scientific literature and analysis of data published in Science, an international team of scientists cautions that the loss and decline of animals is contributing to what appears to be the early days of the planet's sixth mass biological extinction event.
Since 1500, more than 320 terrestrial vertebrates have become extinct. Populations of the remaining species show a 25 percent average decline in abundance. The situation is similarly dire for invertebrate animal life.
And while previous extinctions have been driven by natural planetary transformations or catastrophic asteroid strikes, the current die-off can be associated to human activity, a situation that the lead author Rodolfo Dirzo, a professor of biology at Stanford, designates an era of "Anthropocene defaunation."
