The Smart Meter Divide and Conquer Model in Relationships

Toner-Carillo fight 2Heather Callaghan

Uh-oh! A bizarro new study probing human behavior and energy usage almost sounds like the makings of a reality TV show. Why? Because smart meters could be a cause of conflict for roommates, friends and spouses. Anyone sharing a home.

But not for reasons you might think...

No, it is not the negative health effects of smart meters, the invasiveness of surveillance, the insecurity that comes from remote control or the idea that smart meters are actually leading to soaring energy costs that leads to conflict according to researchers. In fact, the idea of preventing smart meters from taking the UK by storm never enters the picture. "Resistance is futile." This study wants you to get used to their calculating presence. Very snug and comfy with smart meters. Use them to monitor your roommates' energy usage and let them know they have no right to that energy. It wants to categorize your behavior and modify it.

Most of all, it wants you to be that hundredth monkey and become an ambassador to make sure none of you are taking using the energy resources that you all paid for.

Ten Reasons the United States Government Must Be Abolished

When freedom answers despotism...

"Abolish the United States government?  Are you insane?!"

Not at all.  Our government was originally created from the necessity of abolishing government.  This was spelled out clearly and concisely in the Declaration of Independence, whose date -- July 4, 1776 -- is still celebrated every July 4th.  If you are not familiar with this most vital document, if you have never read the words and fully understood them, I suggest you do so now.  I have quoted from the beginning of the Declaration of Independence below, so that you might understand that abolishing government is, at times, not only necessary, but proper.

Will It Be “Lights Out” For Parts of America This Summer?

Chris Carrington

The 2013 Summer Reliability Assessment from NERC highlights that some states are well below the reserve capacity thats recommended to cope with peak demand of electricity. The report, published in May shows major concerns about Southern California and Texas stating:

Tight supply may lead to operational challenges
Peak demand in Texas has risen, but production and spare capacity hasn’t, leading to a deficit of 1% between supply and demand.

Much of Texas is bone dry, with scarcely any moisture to be found in the top layers of soil. Grass is so dry it crunches underfoot in many places. The nation’s leading cattle-producing state endured its driest seven-month span on record, and some ranchers had to cull their herds to avoid paying supplemental feed costs. (Source)

Energy Grid Vulnerable to Hacker Groups, Says DHS and DoE

Susanne Posel, Contributor

The SuperBowl, hosted in New Orleans, Louisiana experienced a total blackout wherein the 26,000 LED lights surrounding the exterior of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome went dark. Although the LED lights allocated no more energy that the amount needed to light a small home, the system failed.

Mainstream media is decrying about “complex interlocking systems” that make up the networks that control our utilities infrastructure.

Mayor Mitch Landrieu said the blackout was “an unfortunate moment in what has been an otherwise shining Super Bowl week for the city of New Orleans.”

Entergy, the power corporation in Louisiana released a statement concerning the blackout. They said:
Shortly after the beginning of the second half of the Super Bowl in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, a piece of equipment that is designed to monitor electrical load sensed an abnormality in the system. Once the issue was detected, the sensing equipment operated as designed and opened a breaker, causing power to be partially cut to the Superdome in order to isolate the issue.
Two weeks ago, hackers breached the Department of Energy (DoE) computers to siphon personal information from employees. DoE officials reported the incident to the Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) who stated that the hackers used “sophisticated” attacks to steal “personally identifiable information” digital data, yet could have more sinister plans in the future should access be gained again.

How to Arrest The Economy-Strangling EPA

The Supreme Court ruled on June 20, 2011 that the power to regulate greenhouse gas emissions (primarily carbon) rests with the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), saying that the EPA is better equipped to deal with the science of greenhouse gases (aka global warming, climate change and CO2).  The Clean Air Act has been expanded and the EPA is in a power grab for jurisdiction over vehicle emissions and is now planning control over utilities.

EPA enforcement over utilities will cause the following problems:

•  Skyrocketing heating (oil & gas) and electricity bills (click here to see Obama admit this)
•  Job killing restrictions on energy production
•  Blackouts caused by unreliable "green" energy (wind & solar)
•  Import of energy causing dependency on other countries
•  Increase in dangerous and expensive nuclear energy
•  Energy regulations dictated by UN Agenda 21 Sustainable Development
•  Cap-and-trade schemes and carbon credits will apply to ALL items that are produced, so there will be higher prices for EVERYTHING!

The key issues in EPA regulation of greenhouse gases are:

1.  The EPA lacks Constitutional authority to regulate harmless carbon dioxide.
2.  The global warming theory is wrong and based in corrupt science.
3.  The UN directs global warming policies.

The Astounding Potential of Plasmic Power to Revolutionize Energy

The American company PlasmERG has developed a plasmic power technology that utilizes the power of plasma to power engines. These engines have the potential to revolutionize the energy landscape, and benefit human civilization in countless ways.

If you have not read about the American company PlasmERG, and their "Plasmic Transition Process", you should do so immediately. Their technology offers a solution the energy crisis, a way to end the use of fossil fuels, and the potential to jump start a new technological age -- among other benefits!

The general concept of the "Plasmic Transition Process" is fairly simple to understand. A cylinder (similar to one that can be found in an internal combustion engine) is filled with a mixture of cheap and inert gases, then sealed. A magnetic field produced by a coil wrapped around the cylinder is turned on to "pinch" or compress the mixed gases. Next, high frequency radio waves are emitted into the cylinder to ionize the gases. Finally, a high voltage ball of electricity is formed between four electrodes on the cylinder head. This sequence of events creates a plasma ball that starts to grow. This ball of plasma expands, and produces a linear force against the piston. As the piston cycles, only the magnetic field is maintained. The ionization field on the transition coil is reduced to the voltage on the cylinder coil. The RF is also turned off. The electrodes controller watches the cylinder to detect the starting signature of the event and it turns off the high voltage and tells the master controller to switch the others out as well.

Why is the United States so obsessed with nuclear power?

Wiki Image
Why aren't Americans more freaked out about the possibility of a nuclear accident?

Arne Jungjohann
Grist

This is part one in a series on the United States and nuclear power. Read parts twoand three.

After the nuclear catastrophe of Fukushima, as a German living in the U.S., I often get asked these days: What's going on in Germany with the shutdown of nuclear power plants -- is that all mass hysteria? There are good reasons why Germany is moving away so quickly from nuclear power. Certainly, fear is a factor. However, this angst in the face of a nuclear catastrophe has a rational core. Fukushima provides enough grounds to take every single nuclear power plant on the face of the Earth off-line. Regardless of whether the cause is an earthquake, a tsunami, a flood, a plane crash, a terrorist attack, or simple human error, failure of the emergency power system leads to uncontrollable consequences.

There is also an energy reality in Germany that differs from the United States. In Germany, the economic success of the renewable energy economy is visible between the North Sea and the Alps. Hundreds of thousands of new jobs have been created for steel workers, carpenters, technicians, architects, bankers, and farmers. Foreign companies have heavily invested in manufacturing plants for wind turbines, biogas systems, and solar panels in Germany. Nuclear power, on the other hand, is viewed as a constraint on this development. Nuclear and renewables are not perceived as allies, but as conflicting and competing energy sources. One is centralized, capital-intensive, ponderous, outdated, and anti-democratic, whereas the other is flexible, smart, labor-intensive, and open for community participation. Thus, in recent polls an overwhelming 85 percent of Germans favor a nuclear phaseout as fast as possible or at most within 10 years. To them it seems simply outdated to stick with a 1950s technology like nuclear that is risky, dirty, and blocking new investments in better technologies. It is like to holding on to your rotary phone instead of switching to a cell phone.

Tesla Coils: Unleash the Aether

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...
Nikola Tesla's most significant contribution was not AC power, radio, or the induction motor, but what we call the Tesla Coil - a tool which allows for the power of the aether to be unleashed and harnessed.  Now being launched through an open source project.

The inventions of Nikola Tesla are numerous. He invented radio, teleautomatics (remote control technology), poly-phase alternating current, the induction motor, and many other innovations that established the foundation for our modern civilization. However, the true significance of his greatest discovery - the "Tesla Coil" - goes mostly unrecognized. This tool provides a way for humanity to tap into the wheelwork of our universe--what many describe as the "aether."

There are many misconceptions about Tesla coils and their intended use. The light shows that can be produced by them are spectacular, but these stunning visual displays have little to do with their true function and capabilities. In addition, many people consider them as nothing more than high voltage transformers. But a Tesla coil is not a conventional transformer and does not utilize magnetic induction.

Tesla coils have capabilities beyond even the highest voltage transformers of our day, because they are something far different. Their emissions of longitudinal impulses can exceed the speed of light, can penetrate all known materials (including Faraday cages), travel great distances without their intensity diminishing, power remote devices, and allow for "overunity" gains of energy.

Bizarre Dark Energy Theory Gets Boost From New Measurements

Dark Matter and Energy/Wiki Commons
Yahoo/Space

New measurements of the expansion rate of the universe lend new support for the theory of dark energy that suggests a mysterious force is pulling the cosmos apart at ever-increasing speeds.

Scientists have few ideas why such a force would exist, but the evidence for dark energy – which like dark matter has remained elusive to detection attempts – is growing, and a competing hypothesis can apparently be ruled out. [The Strangest Things in Space]

In a new study, a team of researchers led by Adam Riess of the Space Telescope Science Institute in Baltimore, report that they've calculated how fast the universe is expanding to a greater degree of accuracy than ever before, shrinking the error bars on their measurements by about 30 percent.
