Say No to Thimerosal, Say No to the Flu Vaccine

Dees Illustration
Dr. Mark Sircus, Contributor

Saying no to vaccines in the face of the gale wind of propaganda and governmentally supported vaccine campaigns is high treason punishable to the point of having your kids taken away if you happen to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

True medicine cries out against vaccines and all the harm they are doing to children and people around the globe, but we have medical authorities claiming them to offer deliverance when in reality they offer little of anything but further toxic attacks on the body and immune system.

Medical truth is obviously against deliberately poisoning people, but don't tell that to anyone at the FDA whose staff falls all over itself to promote the most dangerous drugs ever known to mankind. Vaccines are loaded with crude materials that will never make anyone well. Poisons usually have the habit of poisoning people and the amount of mercury in the influenza vaccine is dangerous no matter what these un-trustable medical officials say.

Mercury is much more toxic than lead but there is not a doctor in the world stupid or crazy enough to inject lead into children's veins, yet there are plenty who will gladly with a smile inject mercury.

Nuclear Holocaust Sweeping Across the Northern Hemisphere

Here in the above video we are looking at nuclear hell on earth, a night film of the radioactive steam that continues to rise from Fukushima 24 hours a day. Arnie Gundersen, a former nuclear power industry executive, is one of the experts who has been saying from day one that the nuclear crisis in Japan was much worse than they were telling us.

He was absolutely correct. Finally, three months later we are getting some numbers on what the real dangers are. And finally we can begin to understand the enormous cover-up of the nuclear doom that is reaching lungs all over the west coast of America, Canada, Alaska, Hawaii and at least half of Japan! For infants it’s a terrible valley of death we have created for them. As we shall see for years all of them have been born with already polluted bloodstreams and now the very young ones are dying in greater numbers on the west coast of the United States since Fukushima blew up.

More Bizarre Than Science Fiction

Dr. Mark Sircus, Contributing Writer
Activist Post

Life beyond fiction is being delivered to our doorstep and life will never be the same. We have just gone into the realm of the unbelievable and inconceivable and more of the same is on the way. The weather is worse than all the weathermen’s worst-case scenarios, the Earth is shaking below billions of people’s feet, volcanoes are blowing their tops, it’s flooding in many areas and bone dry in others.

We are faced with global cooling from all the volcanic materials being thrown up into the atmosphere, while at the same time the sun has been quiet, though scientists are warning that it will wake up with a fury soon. As the weather has turned cataclysmic our capacity to grow enough food to feed the Earth’s seven billion souls is being compromised, driving up prices while cutting dramatically into food reserves.

Events are converging in a most unusual and synchronistic manner. The nuclear news is going from bad to worse and it is now obvious that no matter how bad it gets officialdom is not going to admit, until the bitter end, the real dangers we as humans face. We now have declared nuclear meltdowns in progress meaning we can all look forward to increasing radiation levels on our planet for the rest of our lives, which will be shortened and worsened no matter what they say.

This is going to be the most extraordinary communication so fasten your seatbelts; we are in for a rough ride. I have known in my heart for months that I would have to make a communication like this but had no idea it would be this soon. Back in January, while investigating the underground city that is alleged to have been built under the new Denver Airport, reported on by the former governor Jesse Ventura, I put the puzzle together and came to the conclusion that a planetary event was in store for us in 2012.

Today I am presenting rock solid information; it does not get any better when NASA is your source. What you are about to read and see is happening. Last night, looking at a NASA mathematical model of comet Elenin, I found out that a large celestial body has already penetrated the solar system and is on course for a near and possibly horrific encounter with the earth in the fall of 2011. What we do not know is the size and mass of comet Elenin though I have no doubt that it is known by the authorities.

I climbed this mountain in North Carolina with Dutch right after publishing “Beyond the Door” on Monday. Even after all the devastating information I have been publishing about the nuclear disaster, I was shaken. It is not easy to understand the implications and follow the math of what is happening in the northern hemisphere but let’s try.

Medical Gestapo Working in Japan

In this case it’s actually No Zeolite For The Japanese!
Mark Sircus, Contributing Writer
Activist Post

The medical Gestapo was recently spotted working in Japan getting the police to charge two people with the selling of zeolite. The substance, sold as “Premium Zeolite,” was billed as absorbing radioactive substances and allowing the body to excrete them within six hours. The two were charged with selling medicine without a license. A month later we hear that they are using tons of zeolite at the nuclear plant to control radiation. What gives?

The operator of the crippled nuclear power plant in Fukushima has begun dropping sandbags filled with an absorbent into the Pacific Ocean to try to reduce the danger from radiation. The bags are filled with zeolite, better known as the active material sprinkled in cat litter boxes to absorb odors. In this case, zeolite is meant to take up caesium that has been detected at high levels along the Fukushima coast.

Dr. Garry Gordon (who knows much more about detoxification and chelation than most other doctors and certainly more than medical officials who still see no need for heavy metal testing or treatment) has a lot to say about zeolite for detoxification and radioprotection:

Avoiding Radiation Exposure...Maybe By Running For Our Lives

Mark Sircus, Contributing Writer
Activist Post

Avoiding exposure and radiation-induced diseases might come down to, I am terribly sorry to say, running for our very lives. Anyone who cannot accept that this is the reality millions of Japanese face is probably not worth saving, so let them consume all the milk and unwashed leafy vegetables they can.

Dr. Michio Kaku, answering the question about the size of the evacuation zone, said:
It’s pathetic. The United States government has already stated 50 miles for evacuating U.S. personnel. The French government has stated that all French people should consider leaving the entire islands. And here we are with a government talking about six miles, 10 miles, 12 miles. And the people there are wondering, “What’s going on with the government? I mean, why aren’t they telling us the truth?” Radiation levels are now rising 25 miles from the site, far beyond the evacuation zone. And remember that we could see an increase in leukemia. We could see an increase in thyroid cancers. That’s the inevitable consequence of releasing enormous quantities of iodine into the environment.
So Dr. Kaku agrees with me about the need for millions to run. Lucky for many Japanese is the fact that so far the winds have blown most of the danger out to sea and onto the northern American continent. If the winds turn and blow to the south for any length of time it could mean curtains for Tokyo.

In today’s post I will begin to answer what Arnie Gundersen is not quite ready to say but will say next week when he has more data. And that is to answer the question of what to do for oneself and one’s family during this nuclear crisis that the world’s governments don’t want you to know. They are, in reality controlled by one-world institutions like the UN, the World Health Organization and others, and that is why we see a lockstep response heard around the world that says—don’t worry!

The decision to raise the alert level to 7 amounts to an

substantial and
long-lasting consequences for health and for the environment

“Radiation is continuing to leak out of the reactors, the situation is not stable at all, radiation continues to leak,” says Dr. Michio Kaku, professor of theoretical physics at the City University of New York and top graduate of Harvard. “We are looking at a ticking timebomb. It appears stable but the slightest disturbance, a secondary earthquake, a pipe break, evacuation of the crew at Fukishima  could set off a full scale melt down at three nuclear power stations–far beyond what we saw at Chernobyl.”

Aftershocks rattling Japan after the nation’s record quake on March 11 may continue for at least six months, increasing the risk of damage to a crippled nuclear plant at the center of the worst nuclear crisis since Chernobyl. “Aftershocks as big as magnitude-7 are likely to continue hitting in eastern and northern Japan for at least six months,” said Teruyuki Kato, a professor at the University of Tokyo’s Earthquake Research Institute.

Fukushima: End of Week Three

The efforts at Fukushima are at best many months away from stabilization and years away from any sort of a final resolution. This crisis is going to be with all of us for a very long time with radioactive material continuing to escape from the complex into the environment adding a staggering amount of nuclear pollution into the world.

Things seem relatively calm at the moment with no more explosions to report but the headlines constantly stress the “risk of uncontrolled radiation” and this morning’s headline was, “Search for radiation leak turns desperate in Japan.” One of the chief concerns is that things might take a turn for the worse whereby radiation spikes to levels that prevent humans from getting close enough to perform meaningful operations and work at the nuclear site.

The other great concern are the hundreds of thousands if not millions of cases of cancer that will be caused in northern Japan if they do not bring this disaster under some kind of control. Hundreds of thousands of people are already slated sometime in the future to have cancer from this catastrophe but are they widening the evacuation to a necessary 200-or-more-kilometer area?

As the news worsens from Japan we hear that the FDA has a problem declaring or warning people that artificial food colorings could be dangerous to your health. The Food and Drug Administrationconcluded long ago that there was no definitive link between the colorings and behavior or health problems, “and the agency is unlikely to change its mind any time soon.”

It is a fact that this organization exists to declare dangerous substances safe as is evident in its support for injecting children with methyl mercury, the placement of fluoride in public drinking water and the installation of toxic waste dumps in people’s mouths in the form of dental amalgam. We have made a tragic mistake and we humans are now going to pay for it in spades.

Surviving Nuclear Toxicity

Related Posts Plugin for WordPress, Blogger...

Dr. Mark Sircus

What does radiation do to us? It burns the cells, kind of like burning down a house. It is well known that radiation burns our cells by creating too much free radical damage. Now of course this is like talking Greek to medical officials and professors because if they knew this they would be on the bullhorn telling the public what to do to minimize free radical damage.

This is important information because just about everyone in the northern hemisphere, within a short period of time, will have to live with a gentle radioactive mist all around them and their children. We always have been surrounded by radiation but increasingly so in recent decades because of all the nuclear tests and accidents and use of nuclear materials in warfare (God forbid they are using depleted uranium weapons in Libya) and, of course, the wireless revolution.

But now comes our worst nuclear nightmare, an out-of-control nuclear station belching out plutonium and other very nasty nuclear materials. Imagine it as a mist for that is what it is. If you can conceive of Geiger counters around the world picking this up you know it’s raining nuclear particles just about everywhere. Within the space of only two weeks radiation is being reported in a huge area.

Nature Blowing Its Top and Bottom

Karymsky volcano rumbles away.
Nuclear Dangers and Treatment

Dr. Mark Sircus -- IMVA

Violent eruptions along Russia’s volcano belt are affecting global weather patterns and prices to boot, says this article by Ben Aris. Prepare to pay more for your flour and coal this year. Volcanoes on the country’s eastern seaboard of Kamchatka have been unusually active for the last six months,” says Aris. “The dust they threw up diverted winds in the Arctic, pushing cold air over Europe and North America and causing the unusually cold winter,” say scientists. “This string of volcanoes, 29 of which are active, could cause more problems this year, depressing harvests around the globe just as food prices soar, and culminating in a second freezing winter.” These volcanoes in Russia are not the only volcanoes that are blowing huge tonnages of ash and gases into the atmosphere and when you add them all up, the situation is threatening our climate and agricultural sector.

Not many of us think about what is going on deep beneath our feet but evidence is starting to pile up that our planet is undergoing massive changes underneath us. The quake in Japan from a few days before the most recent terrible one that has spawned a nuclear nightmare had already sent seismographs across the planet reeling into the deep black with some saying that the powerful force of the quake has buckled the seafloor off the far coast of Japan.

Earthquakes and volcanic activity are on the increase around the world signaling, to anyone who is listening, an intensification of earth changes. None of us though had an inkling of what the increasing tremors would bring, first to many Japanese coastal cities like the one below, bringing on a terrible war scale destruction—but also a nuclear catastrophe that is unfolding and threatening to be global in proportion. Letters are already coming in from panicking people on the west coast of North America where jet streams will carry within a few short days, what is being released into the atmosphere at the nuclear facilities in Japan. They want to know how much iodine to take.
image

We all know about the devastating tsunami that hit the coast of northeast Japan on Friday in the aftermath of an 8.9 magnitude earthquake about 80 miles offshore, killing hundreds of people and injuring many more. But 10,000 people are reported missing from this one town above that was completely wiped out. Nightmarish reports and photographs are coming in and it looks like a utterly devastated war zone. Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan is appealing to the Japanese to unite in overcoming what he says is the nation’s worst crisis since World War II.

Now the number is being revised to a 9.1 mega quake. The earthquake triggered widespread power blackouts and, to the horror of an on-looking world, possible meltdowns in several nuclear plants. The world is sitting on the edge of its chair as we wait to see what unfolds. A complete meltdown — the collapse of a power plant’s systems and its ability to keep temperatures under control — would release uranium and dangerous contaminants into the environment and pose major, widespread health risks.

Partial meltdowns are already being reported in two reactors with others still at risk. Officials monitoring the plant in Fukushima have said they detected a radioactive byproduct, cesium, that indicates that a partial meltdown had occurred.

Already as we wake up the news of explosions and contamination at one nuclear plant is flashing around the world. The explosion was preceded by puff of white smoke that gathered intensity until it became a huge cloud enveloping the entire facility, located in Fukushima, 20 miles (30 kilometers) from Iwaki. After the explosion, the walls of the building crumbled, leaving only a skeletal metal frame. Before the explosion, operators had detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1’s control room. An evacuation area around the plant has been expanded and expanded again as the nuclear threat and contamination spreads.

Eleven of Japan’s 55 reactors are reportedly shut down due to the earthquake. Nuclear authorities in Japan have earlier warned that the Fukushima No. 1 plant, located about 250 km northeast of Tokyo, an urban area of 30 million people.

Kevin Kamps, recently in Japan on a nuclear power-related speaking tour said, “In addition to the reactor cores, the storage pool for highly radioactive irradiated nuclear fuel is also at risk. The pool cooling water must be continuously circulated. Without circulation, the still thermally hot irradiated nuclear fuel in the storage pools will begin to boil off the cooling water. Within a day or two, the pool’s water could completely boil away. Without cooling water, the irradiated nuclear fuel could heat to the point of spontaneously combusting in an exothermic reaction. Since the storage pools are not located within containment, a catastrophic radioactivity release to the environment could occur. Given the large quantity of irradiated nuclear fuel in the pool, the radioactivity release could be worse than the Chernobyl nuclear reactor catastrophe of 25 years ago.”

Kizimen and Sheveluch erupted shortly after the Japanese quake. Explosions at the volcanoes were accompanied by minor earthquakes.
image

Indonesia’s most active volcanoes also erupted hours after a massive earthquake in Japan that triggered a Pacific-wide tsunami. The 5,853-foot (1,784-meter) mountain is located on Siau, part of the Sulawesi island chain. It last erupted in August, killing four people. Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago, is located on the so-called Pacific “Ring of Fire,” an arc of volcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.
image

We are facing dramatic seismographic events that seem to be gathering momentum around the world and lo and behold, our fantastic governments have not factored protection into nuclear plants—except for in two plants around the world, which have shock absorbers built around the reactors. In the past 12 months we have seen some huge disasters starting out with the toxic nightmare in the Gulf of Mexico, then devastating and highly toxic fires in Russia, then epic floods in Australia and now this disaster in Japan that is going nuclear in proportion.

The Guardian’s energy editor, Terry Macalister, writes, “I was down at Chernobyl two weeks ago to survey the cleanup there and it was certainly a sobering insight into how devastating an atomic accident can be. The Chernobyl plant is still highly radioactive—25 years after that accident—and far from fully dismantled or decommissioned. The nearby town of Pripyat lies completely empty. 50,000 people were evacuated from there and told they would be back the following weekend. They never returned.”

DNA and Mitochondrial Time Bombs

Uranium and other radioactive materials are highly toxic to humans, both chemically as heavy metals and radiological as alpha particle emitters. Dr. Diane Stearns at Northern Arizona University tells us that separate from any radiation risks, cells exposed to uranium will bond with the metal chemically. Uranium and phosphate have a strong chemical affinity for each other and the DNA and mitochondria are loaded with phosphate so uranium is a DNA and mitochondria deep-penetration bomb.

There are three things that determine the toxicity of radioactive materials:

Chemical effects – Uranium is chemically very toxic.
Radioactive effects (includes half-life and energy released) – One gram of DU (1/20th of a cubic centimeter) releases 13,000 alpha particles a second. One alpha particle can cause cancer under the right conditions and certainly it has the capacity to wreak havoc in beta cells and everywhere else.
Particle size – In the nano particle range (diameter of 0.1 microns or smaller) the particulate effect (non-specific catalyst or enzyme) is far more biologically toxic than the first two effects. This is why DU is so devastating.
The Chernobyl incident was a major humanitarian disaster that has resulted in a plethora of health problems still far from being fully recognized. Most studies analyzing the medical consequences of this catastrophe have so far focused on diseases such as thyroid cancer, leukemia, immune and autoimmune pathology, even though an increase in the incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus, a disorder involving the immune system, was observed within the residential population of Hiroshima among survivors of the atom bomb detonation. Studies have also shown that thymectomy and a sub-lethal dose of gamma radiation induces type 1 diabetes in rats.

Along the Gulf Coast the oil from the BP blowout 11 months ago continues to roll in along with increasing numbers of dead infant dolphins. The beaches remain polluted with toxic oil and dispersant with unlimited tons of it still being removed. The basic cleanup of the oil has been made impossible by any known technology after the dispersant sank it to the ocean floor. Eight months ago it was Russia that was burning spreading chemical and radioactive contamination from previous nuclear disasters that had been deposited in the soil and forests. China had its own oil nightmare in 2010.

Thus it is not only mega quakes, tsunamis and volcanoes erupting in our faces but mega increases in toxic exposures that are coming to an already badly polluted world. Thousands of tons of mercury are put into the atmosphere each year and that is just the lead Panzer division of a horde of contaminants that are touching down on everyone’s cellular environment.

The United States government insanely developed and used depleted uranium weapons on the battlefield with the resultant blanketing of the earth with uranium oxide with its half-life of billions of years. And humanity is in the middle of an extremely dangerous human experiment with microwave transmissions and wireless technology with mounting evidence leading us to believe that this one toxic insult alone could do our children and grandchildren in from lifetime exposures.

So we are not only threatened with total economic and financial ruin, mass starvation but also with being poisoned to death. Four years ago I previewed our current state of affairs with the publication of my Survival Medicine for the 21st Century compendium of 300 chapters. The point is it already is a fight for survival that is getting more intense with each and every mega disaster of either chemical or radioactive nature.

It well past the time when we have had to become intimately familiar with heavy metal chelation and detoxification methods for both chemical and radioactive threats that already surround us. We also have to begin to prepare for even more dramatic threats that the media and our governmental controllers would prefer we not ponder on.

The beginning point of this essay is on what is happening geologically below our feet and how that is already affecting the agricultural area. In case you need to be reminded our planet is under stress with the entire structure in the beginning process of destabilization.

Japan is at the center being flanked by aggravated tectonic plates and volcanic trenches, pierced by super-volcanic calderas along its southern tip, and dotted with active burning strato-mountains of fire. That’s 55 nuclear reactors in harm’s way in Japan alone. Japan sits at the crossroads of 4 adjoining tectonic plates, the Eurasian, North American, Philippine and Pacific plates. Anyone who is assuming that life is going to be convenient or nice to us at this point does not have their eyes open. The intensity of life’s events is only going to increase from here on so preparation and caution have to be the watchwords of the day.

Please see my important essay – Treatments for Nuclear Contamination and the youtube presentation of Dr. David Brownstein talking about the necessity of high iodine dosages for the entire population. It will be out in a few hours on my blog.

Governments in Retreat

Dr. Mark Sircus
IMVA

Governments, like most egos, believe they are important. But like egos, they separate from the people they serve. Governments, in their heightened sense of separation and alliance with big business become vicious, even against their own people, and it really does not matter the form of government, with democracy being one of the worst offenders. Even the States in America are beginning to fight back against Federal control in their struggle to maintain state rights.

Things are about to change drastically in the U.S. and around the world. Events are getting seriously out of hand and will turn ugly faster than any of us can imagine or believe so from here on hold on for dear life! We’re Rapidly Approaching the Crisis to Which 2008 Was a Warm Up. The entire system, funded by the globalist bankers, is entering into a terminal phase with imminent financial and economic collapse looming up as the probable conclusion. The first waves have struck in terms of events in North Africa but when the full crisis hits who will be swept away and what will be left standing is anyone’s guess. We are literally living on borrowed time as something major is brewing in markets around the world and the stakes have never been higher.

“Incomes, job security, health- and other benefits, pensions, average pay, and of course jobs themselves, everything is rapidly deteriorating. While at the same time bankers and politicians are siphoning off what they can get away with from the public funds that by right belong to the same people who lose their jobs, health care access, pensions and homes. And desperately need those funds. The major financial executives may be raking in record stacks of stolen dough, but average American and European citizens are intensely watching their wealth evaporate into thin air as they become increasingly desperate with every passing day,” writes the Automatic Earth.

Marc Farber, Mr. Doom and Gloom himself, who is well respected in the financial world, spells it out. “I think we are all doomed.  I think what will happen is that we are in the midst of a kind of a crack-up boom that is not sustainable, that eventually the economy will deteriorate, that there will be more money-printing, and then you have inflation, and a poor economy, an extreme form of stagflation, and, eventually, in that situation, countries go to war, and, as a whole, derivatives, the market, and everything will collapse, and like a computer when it crashes, you will have to reboot it.”

It is a matter of record! The spate of seething, youth-inspired Middle East uprisings that are toppling governments, reshaping the geopolitical landscape and roiling world markets blindsided the world’s intelligence community. Not the CIA, Joint Chiefs of Staff or National Security Council saw it coming. Mossad and MI5 missed it! None of the mainstream media’s star-studded stable of scholars, experts and think-tank policy wonks were thinking ahead.

Gerald Celente
Trends Research

The only choice we’ve been offered in terms of different forms of government has been between bad and worse. The democracy we see in America offers no more than a huge betrayal of the people’s trust. Yet people around the world thirst for democracy because, in principle, democracy is supposed to be dedicated to the people. The reality is something quite different.

What’s happening in Greece will spread worldwide as economies decline. There are no organizations behind this response, it’s a public response. This is a 21st century rendition of “Workers of the World unite.” Initially the strikes, riots and protests by unions, student groups, the unemployed, pensioners, and the outraged were sloughed off as predictable (but short-lived and ineffectual) responses that would either peter out on their own or be stomped down by the police. The unofficial reality was that, as Gerald Celente has repeatedly warned, “When people lose everything and have nothing left to lose, they lose it.”

Gerald Celente
Trends Research

It is my assertion that the United States government actually looks down in contempt at its own citizens, kicking dirt in their faces. America, in its lust to control the world in British fashion, has turned against everything good. The American people are completely helpless and have no power to stop all the evils being perpetuated by their government, including the endless wars and uncontrolled killing.

Virtually overnight, the revolutions have been glorified as courageous fights for freedom and liberty by democracy-hungry-masses. But it is not hunger for democracy that drives them. Democracy, autocracy, theocracy, monarchy—right, center, left—it is mostly a gut issue—an empty gut issue. When the money stops flowing down to the man in the street, the blood starts flowing in the streets. It’s a simple equation. A few at the top have too much, and too many others have too little.

Gerald Celente
Trends Research

Today governments can no longer afford to ignore their citizens’ concerns surrounding economic disparity, food supply, rising prices and a host of other things including the health and medical care of the people. Governments can no longer be subservient to industrial corporate interests that have never ever been concerned about what is good for the people. But governments seem to not really care what their citizens can afford or what is right and good. Most governments in the end are pathetic, having abandoned their real responsibilities to the people. In America the constitution has become nothing more than a joke—certainly far from “by the people and for the people.”

The jolt felt around the world is in the process of shattering the recovery illusion. Whether deliberately (as calculated policy) or as fallout from fear-based denial, the pieces are not being put together. The current unrest is not confined to the Middle East and North Africa, and as we had forecast, it will spread to Europe and other parts of the world. The more volatile and widespread the insurrections, the greater the probability that some combination of events (e.g., oil shock, terror attack, cyber wars and regional wars) will crash already fragile economies, and roil sound ones. “Be Prepared” conditions are spinning out of control.

Gerald Celente
Trends Research

There is little doubt we are being forced back to a more local existence where we and the people around us will have to look after ourselves and survive the anarchy coming from the collapse of paper and digital wealth everywhere in the world at once. This will of course be very difficult in cities where there is total dependency on the system.

In Libya we already have an example where a city, beyond federal control, sees its residents and rebels already hammering out a new way of life and governance. The fruits of their efforts are taking shape. A judge, still wearing his robes, wandered through traffic ordering drivers to put on their seat belts. At another intersection, three young men helped an elderly police officer direct a traffic jam. Dozens of banks opened for business, and by late afternoon, stores, shuttered for days, had started to reopen. Belgium, without a federal government for a record amount of time, is also doing quite well without their government and the people want to keep it that way by dividing themselves down to more local levels of language and control.

People with Their Heads in the Sand
image
Things are moving so fast in world events that one can hardly make sense or keep track of everything that is going on. But a sense that things are going terribly wrong is growing even though there are still people living in oblivion, thinking everything is hunky dory. Bob Herbert of the New York Times is astounded that people are talking in normal tones about the equivalent of a hurricane ripping through their lives, leaving massive destruction in its wake. No matter how bad the news gets, few seem, outwardly at least, to be particularly concerned.

Gonzalo Lira has a partial explanation. “It’s as if it were happening to someone else—it’s as if it were happening to the Canadians, not to America. The American people are taking the whole budget deficit thing so la-di-da.”Heasks, “Why is no one freaking out over the incredible monetization of the federal government debt that is being carried out by Ben Bernanke and the Gnomes at the Federal Reserve? I have a theory—unscientific, but I think it’s true: The American people have thrown in the towel. They collectively realize that the shit is going to hit the fan big time. So in this little window of time before The Big Splatter, everyone’s pretending that nothing’s wrong, everything’s fine—we’re doing hunky dory, couldn’t be better. Any bad news—like the monster deficit—is ignored, blatantly. The American people collectively blew their country. So now everyone’s pretending that everything’s fine,” while waiting for the end to come. “Everybody with any sense knows that The Big Splatter is on its way—everyone knows there’s nothing that can stop it. So when bits of bad news crop up—like the revised deficit numbers—Americans are placid as Hindu cows. And why not? These deficit numbers are nothing!Americans all know that it’s going to get much, much worse. They all know that there’s no sense worrying about the little milestones on the road to hell. They all know that they’re waiting for The Big Splatter.”

“If one is going to fall out of a window, how much it hurts when one hits the ground (and splatters) will depend on how many stories high the window was. Some of those who live a relatively hand-to-mouth existence may find themselves falling out of a ground-floor window. They will dust themselves off and move on. This will be much less painful than falling from the hundredth floor, as many of the better-off will end up doing. People who may have nothing, but also owe nothing, are not so badly off in comparison with those who have a lot, but owe far more than they have. The latter is a very common situation, and will become increasingly common as assets prices fall in a deflationary environment, and debt servicing becomes ever more onerous. Very many seemingly wealthy people are over-stretched ‘like butter spread over too much bread,’ as Bilbo put it in The Lord of the Rings. Essentially, it is far better to have nothing than less than nothing in net monetary terms,” writes Stoneleigh for The Automatic Earth.

image
Fiscal insanity is now the embedded reality of the United States Federal government and this will lead very soon to big trouble for everyone in the states. It is already a big problem for the rest of the world because of the exported inflation.

“Tense and terrible times inevitably summon an odd coupling of two very different and difficult human conditions, honesty and brutality. Certain painful truths are revealed and often a palpable fury erupts. Our economy, our culture, our entire world is built upon debt. No one ever asked us if that’s how we wanted it; it is simply how the system was designed when we came into it.
