Obama DOJ to Target “Root Causes of Violent Extremism”

On CBS’s Face the Nation today Attorney General Eric Holder stated that the Obama administration will host a summit on February 18 in Washington DC to address “the root causes” of incidents such as this week’s terrorist attacks in Paris. “‘Countering violent extremism’ is what we call it–[so] we can deal with the root causes of what it is that attracts these young men to these really negative ideological groups.”

Holder told Face the Nation host Bob Schieffer that the United States entered a “new phase” in the war on terror some time ago that specifically concerns “homegrown terrorism.”

America’s Real Homegrown Extremists

Eric Holder wants to convey his all-consuming concern over “lone wolf homegrown violent extremists” who have “domestic concerns”. On July 13 Holder remarked on ABC’s This Week that such bogeys keep him “up late at night” as he and his cohorts attempt “to monitor them, anticipate what it is that they are going to do.”[1]

The Attorney General’s hand wringing is compounded by the Southern Poverty Law Center’s most recent “research” report. The document seeks to inform “law enforcement about the increasingly hostile anti-government movement” the SPLC claims “has grown from 150 groups in 2008 to nearly 1,100 last year.”[2]

Eric Holder: info leaked about NSA surveillance program is ‘extremely damaging’ to national security

Attorney General Eric Holder claimed that the information leaked about the massive surveillance program run by the National Security Agency (NSA) is “extremely damaging” to U.S. national security without explaining how it is actually damaging.

Holder also vowed to hold the individual who leaked the information about the NSA program accountable, though he did not identify admitted NSA leaker Edward Snowden by name.

“The national security of the United States has been damaged as a result of those leaks,” Holder claimed at a United States-European Union ministerial meeting in Dublin on Friday.

“The safety of the American people and the safety of people who reside in allied nations have been put at risk as a result of these leaks,” Holder said, according to CNN.

The leak investigation is still underway, according to Holder, which is why no calls for arrest have been made as of yet.

Report: House Judiciary Committee investigating whether Eric Holder lied under oath

According to a report, the House Judiciary Committee is now investigating the possibility that Attorney General Eric Holder lied under oath when he testified on May 15 about the Department of Justice’s surveillance of reporters.

According to an unnamed aide closet to the matter who spoke to The Hill, the panel is looking at a specific statement made by Holder during an exchange with Rep. Hank Johnson (D-Ga.) about the power of the Justice Department to prosecute reporters under the Espionage Act of 1917.

“In regard to potential prosecution of the press for the disclosure of material — this is not something I’ve ever been involved in, heard of, or would think would be wise policy,” Holder said.

Yet since Holder personally approved a search warrant targeting James Rosen, chief Washington correspondent for Fox News, Holder’s statement is now coming under increased scrutiny.

Obama Admits to Killing Four Americans with Drones

Up until now the Obama Administration has been coy about their policy to kill Americans abroad using drones.

Today, Attorney General Eric Holder confirmed that this administration has killed four Americans with drone strikes in Yemen and Pakistan, and admitted one was killed deliberately.

According to the New York Times:

In a letter to Congressional leaders obtained by The New York Times, Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr. disclosed that the administration had deliberately killed Anwar al-Awlaki, a radical Muslim cleric who was killed in a drone strike in September 2011 in Yemen. 

The American responsibility for Mr. Awlaki’s death has been widely reported, but the administration had until now refused to confirm or deny it. 

The letter also said that the United States had killed three other Americans: Samir Khan, who was killed in the same strike; Mr. Awlaki’s son Abdulrahman al-Awlaki, who was also killed in Yemen; and Jude Mohammed, who was killed in a strike in Pakistan. 

The letter says "Since 2009, the United States, in the conduct of U.S. counterterrorism operations against al-Qa'ida and its associated forces outside of areas of active hostilities, has specifically targeted and killed one U.S. citizen, Anwar al-Aulaqi (Awlaki)."

Obama Administration Secretly Spied on the Associated Press

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and the Obama Administration have been spying on the Associated Press without their knowledge.

The establishment news service is typically viewed as a repeater of officialdom, so it came as a bit of a shock to the organization who called it a "massive and unprecedented intrusion."

AP reports:

The Justice Department secretly obtained two months of telephone records of reporters and editors for The Associated Press in what the news cooperative's top executive called a "massive and unprecedented intrusion" into how news organizations gather the news. 

The records obtained by the Justice Department listed incoming and outgoing calls, and the duration of each call, for the work and personal phone numbers of individual reporters, general AP office numbers in New York, Washington and Hartford, Conn., and the main number for AP reporters in the House of Representatives press gallery, according to attorneys for the AP.

In all, the government seized those records for more than 20 separate telephone lines assigned to AP and its journalists in April and May of 2012. The exact number of journalists who used the phone lines during that period is unknown but more than 100 journalists work in the offices whose phone records were targeted on a wide array of stories about government and other matters.

The Associated Press recently received a letter from the Department of Justice informing them of the 2012 seizure of phone records. The AP points out that they're not sure if the phones were illegally wiretapped or if the phone companies turned over the records at the government's request.

The records were presumably obtained from phone companies earlier this year although the government letter did not explain that. None of the information provided by the government to the AP suggested the actual phone conversations were monitored.

Still the CEO, Gary Pruitt, feels his organization was violated.
"There can be no possible justification for such an overbroad collection of the telephone communications of The Associated Press and its reporters. These records potentially reveal communications with confidential sources across all of the newsgathering activities undertaken by the AP during a two-month period, provide a road map to AP's newsgathering operations, and disclose information about AP's activities and operations that the government has no conceivable right to know," Pruitt wrote in a response to Holder.

The AP writes that media companies are normally notified when the government wants phone records, and they usually comply.  But in this case the government waived the prior notification with cryptic reasoning that it may have "posed a substantial threat to the integrity of the investigation":

News organizations normally are notified in advance that the government wants phone records and enter into negotiations over the desired information. In this case, however, the government, in its letter to the AP, cited an exemption to those rules that holds that prior notification can be waived if such notice, in the exemption's wording, might "pose a substantial threat to the integrity of the investigation."

In other words, it seems like the AP is saying "you could have just asked and we probably would have given you what you needed."  Yet, the government is just saying "we'll do what we want, thanks."

Regardless, the AP has not seen a signed warrant or subpoena from the government, indicating that the DOJ was illegally spying on a major news organization. It appears no one is exempt from Big Brother's overreaches.

Issa: Executive Privilege Reserved For Presidential Decision-Making

Darrell Issa, House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman, wrote a letter to President Barack Obama wherein he directly challenged Obama’s use of executive privilege, essentially hiding certain documents concerning the Fast and Furious operation.

There was a formal request that Obama provide “legal justification for the privilege claim and a list of specific documents covered by it.”

Issa explained that according to case law, “executive privilege is reserved for direct presidential decision-making.” By intimation, Obama is admitting to have overseen the operation by his use of executive privilege.

While Obama has asserted in public forum that he and Holder were not involved in F&F, he is essentially lying by omission.

The buck does not stop with Obama and Holder though. Asked about prior knowledge of Operation Gun Runner / Fast and Furious . . . they just didn’t know what the hell was going on. Maybe this is true. Maybe they are way out of the loop, and this should concern not only every American, but citizens around the world!



Since Obama is nothing more than a figurehead, and a puppet for Global Intelligence (AKA the NWO) it is possible that he IS completely out of the loop. This is not the best 2012 campaign slogan however: “Vote for me, uhh, I have no clue what’s being done in my name”.

It makes one wonder what else is in the area of False Flag Terror (which this P2OG style “Sting Operation” truly is).

WASHINGTON (AFP) - Top Obama administration officials on Wednesday defended the US commando raid that killed Al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden as a "lawful" operation and an act of "self-defense."

The White House's changing story over the attack has raised doubts about US assurances that the US special operations forces sent to bin Laden's lair in the Pakistani garrison town of Abbottabad were prepared to take him alive.

On Monday, the White House said bin Laden was armed when he was shot dead in his comfortable compound not far from Islamabad.

EU, US discuss data protection deal

GODOLLO, Hungary (AFP) - EU and US officials met in Hungary Thursday to try to move forward negotiations for a framework deal to protect the privacy of European citizens' data in future anti-terror operations.

"It is very important to have ... an umbrella agreement" that balances security with privacy rights, Viviane Reding, the EU justice commissioner, said after talks with US Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano.

"Once we have such an agreement it will be much easier to have specific agreements" on various areas, Reding said after the talks outside Budapest.

BEWARE: The Real Terrorists are Upping Their Chatter

Remember the buzzword chatter? When our criminal government kept the sheeple on the razor's edge of fear because they'd say that chatter levels coming from Al-Qaeda were increasing?

Well, today, in this article, I'm going to openly fear monger to you, because the chatter by the real terrorists, the ruling elite, is getting louder and more urgent -- prompting me to warn you that it seems like a terror attack is coming soon.

All the signs are here.  Clearly desperate for public approval and budget justifications, the government has recently made several bogus terror arrests of entrapped FBI patsies.  Perhaps they thought the public would give them some political props for thwarting their own staged events. However, they're beginning to realize that the general public has a bad case of "boy who cried wolf" syndrome where these glorious victories in the ongoing war on terror don't carry much effect anymore with people struggling to pay bills. Therefore, the regular folks must be reminded that the wolf can still bite.

Three recent stories seem to indicate a higher than normal level of urgency about an impending attack.  The first was the report from Iraq that "intelligence" gathered from the recent round-up of militants revealed a threat of an attack inside the U.S. and Europe during the Christmas season. Reuters claimed in certain terms, but through a faceless spokesman:

Al Qaeda is planning attacks in the United States, Britain and Europe around Christmas, one year after a failed attempt to bomb a U.S.-bound passenger plane, a senior Iraqi official said Thursday.

 ...'One of the (men) confessed that ISI will execute attacks inside the United States, Britain, and Europe,' Hussein said. 'They were making preparations for this goal.'

Okay.  Does anyone actually believe poor militants living in Iraq can prepare and execute a successful terror attack inside the United State?  Regardless, DHS sent an alert to all local law enforcement, even though anofficial claimed that, "While there was no specific or credible information about a possible attack, the bulletin was based on intelligence from abroad."  It is this kind of absurdity that reveals the agenda, because this is not a credible threat on any level except to those who need to float warnings before they strike.

Keeping in mind that the original press release had "no specific or credible information," because right on cue an ABC News story a few days later describes not just the specific threats, but also the motivation. For the dumbed-down, non-reading public the article title says all you need to know: Holiday Terror Warning Cites Car Bombs and Small Arms Attack; with the sub-title, Authorities Worry About Christmas Attack For 'Psychological Impact.'

This would seem to indicate that the real terrorists are seeking maximum 'psychological impact' with their next successful attack on U.S. soil.  Perhaps they are getting ready to pull the trigger on something big.  However, even a small arms attack would accomplish some of the establishment's incremental goals like restricting the public's ability to purchase semi-automatic rifles.  It's much like the recent article about potential terror attacks to poison the food supply while the food safety bill S.510 bounces between houses.

Finally, the third and most telling story was a small bit by the Associated Press today regarding Attorney General, Eric Holder's appearance on ABC's Good Morning America where he feigns concern for "homegrown terror threats."  The AP reported:

Holder said the terrorism threat is real and constant. He says he's concerned that theauthorities may have missed a signal that an attack is coming.

He says Americans have to be prepared for "potentially bad news."

Of course, the establishment always uses the example of "anti-American cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, a U.S. citizen believed to be hiding in Yemen" as a claim that "Americans" are indeed seeking to strike the United States. This terror ring-leader of patsies has been exposed as a Pentagon insider by Fox News, yet he's still being used justify the surveillance-industrial complex, the snitch culture, and the clampdown on freedoms in the name of fighting "domestic terrorism by American citizens."

So, we've gone from a threat with no credible or specific information, to being on alert for car bombs and small arms attacks with the purpose of inflicting maximum psychological impact, to our chief law enforcer saying we must prepare for potentially bad news. 

Besides seeking a psychological reaction from the sheep, the real terrorists also desperately need to muffle the truth movement before it grows too big to control.  As the masses become more aware of the criminal actions by the government and its corporate cartel partners, the more they need a distraction. Even Geraldo Rivera has seen through the bogus terror plots, and said so on national TV. 

This all says to me that something is coming because time is running out on their lies.  Be afraid, be very afraid, but not of the coming attack, rather for the establishment's response to it.
