Happy Ending? Or Happy Now

by Zen Gardner

No matter where I turn the awakening is screaming out at me. Every event and announcement of intention by the dark side, no matter how destructive and disturbing, is only precipitating more conscious awareness and very present, personal involvement by humanity. It’s a thrilling time. If it weren’t for what we consider to be terrible and tragic events being perpetrated on humanity, our tidal wave of awakening would not have the momentum it has gathered and continues to gain.
I’m not saying to bring on the madness, but I am saying they can’t do anything against the truth, only for it. They can only rage against it and thus give themselves away to the very people they’ve tried so hard to put to sleep. The joke’s on them.
I had a thought tonight as I was watching the night clouds pass in front of the huge super moon. I was thinking how true inner happiness is not contingent on circumstances. It’s born of a deep spiritual knowledge of our eternal nature and its connectivity to our glorious multiverse. While we’ve been entrained to think happiness comes after something transpires as in “happy endings”, we are entitled to live in an ever present “happy now” way of life, despite the difficulties we pass through, even the eventuality of death from this life and the intended demise of our planet.

The Holy Land Five are still in U.S. prison for feeding helpless Palestinians. David Rovics sings about them: I love this song, David Rovics! "The Holy Land is crying out, leaving little room for doubt; from ruined homes, the kids ask you--what in the world will you do?" ~Cynthia McKinney

ART OF WAR - THE GRAFFITI OF GAZA

With colorful and meticulous calligraphy, drawings, and huge portraits, Palestinians tell their story on the walls. This popular art's aim is to narrate the story as perceived by the Palestinians themselves. The idea is to glorify different militias for their acts, or to honor those who fell for the cause. The vivid and gaudy colors decorate the whole Strip with scenes, slogans and portraits of war death.

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young Ohio 1970 Kent State University

"Ohio" is a protest song written and composed by Neil Young in reaction to the Kent State shootings of May 4, 1970, and performed by Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young. It was released as a single, backed with Stephen Stills "Find the Cost of Freedom," peaking at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100. Although a live version of the song was included on the group's 1971 double album Four Way Street, the studio versions of both songs did not appear on an LP until the group's compilation So Far was released in 1974. The song also appeared on the Neil Young compilation album Decade, released in 1977.

On May 4, 1970 members of the Ohio National Guard fired into a crowd of Kent State University demonstrators, killing four and wounding nine Kent State students. The impact of the shootings was dramatic. The event triggered a nationwide student strike that forced hundreds of colleges and universities to close. H. R. Haldeman, a top aide to President Richard Nixon, suggests the shootings had a direct impact on national politics. In The Ends of Power, Haldeman (1978) states that the shootings at Kent State began the slide into Watergate, eventually destroying the Nixon administration. Beyond the direct effects of the May 4th, the shootings have certainly come to symbolize the deep political and social divisions that so sharply divided the country during the Vietnam War era.

In the nearly three decades since May 4, 1970, a voluminous literature has developed analyzing the events of May 4th and their aftermath. Some books were published quickly, providing a fresh but frequently superficial or inaccurate analysis of the shootings (e.g., Eszterhas and Roberts, 1970; Warren, 1970; Casale and Paskoff, 1971; Michener, 1971; Stone, 1971; Taylor et al., 1971; and Tompkins and Anderson, 1971). Numerous additional books have been published in subsequent years (e.g., Davies, 1973; Hare, 1973; Hensley and Lewis, 1978; Kelner and Munves, 1980; Hensley, 1981; Payne, 1981; Bills, 1988; and Gordon, 1997). These books have the advantage of a broader historical perspective than the earlier books, but no single book can be considered the definitive account of the events and aftermath of May 4, l970 at Kent State University.

In May 1970, at Kent State University in Ohio, National Guardsmen confronted student antiwar protesters with a tear gas barrage. Soon afterward, with no provocation, soldiers opened fire into a group of fleeing students. Four young people were killed, shot in the back, including two women who had been walking to class. Unfortunately, this short description contains four factual errors: some degree of provocation did exist; the students were not fleeing when the Guard initially opened fire; only one of the four students who died, William Schroeder, was shot in the back; and one female student, Sandy Schreuer, had been walking to class, but the other female, Allison Krause, had been part of the demonstration.

This article is an attempt to deal with the historical inaccuracies that surround the May 4th shootings at Kent State University by providing high school social studies teachers with a resource to which they can turn if they wish to teach about the subject or to involve students in research on the issue. Our approach is to raise and provide answers to twelve of the most frequently asked questions about May 4 at Kent State. We will also offer a list of the most important questions involving the shootings which have not yet been answered satisfactorily. Finally, we will conclude with a brief annotated bibliography for those wishing to explore the subject further.

The decision to bring the Ohio National Guard onto the Kent State University campus was directly related to decisions regarding American involvement in the Vietnam War. Richard Nixon was elected president of the United States in 1968 based in part on his promise to bring an end to the war in Vietnam. During the first year of Nixon's presidency, America's involvement in the war appeared to be winding down. In late April of 1970, however, the United States invaded Cambodia and widened the Vietnam War. This decision was announced on national television and radio on April 30, l970 by President Nixon, who stated that the invasion of Cambodia was designed to attack the headquarters of the Viet Cong, which had been using Cambodian territory as a sanctuary.

Protests occurred the next day, Friday, May 1, across United States college campuses where anti-war sentiment ran high. At Kent State University, an anti-war rally was held at noon on the Commons, a large, grassy area in the middle of campus which had traditionally been the site for various types of rallies and demonstrations.

Activist Rocker Seeks Crowdfunding for New Album

Extraordinarily talented musician with a message, Jordan Page, wants you to be a producer on his next album. Visit his IndieGoGo page here.
Jordan Page is an independent, national touring artist whose music has inspired a whole generation of liberty minded, politically conscious people from all walks of life. Jordan's songs are a call to action, to arms, and to take part in the 2nd American revolution. As a prominent voice in the Liberty Movement, Jordan has shared the stage with iconic Congressman Ron Paul 15 times and has toured relentlessly for 6 years spreading the message of personal liberty, sound money, non-interventionist foreign policy, and has become a major anti-war voice in the modern peace movement.

Jordan Page's albums reflect the realities of a world torn by imperialism and war, eroding freedoms, and a sleeping populace. His songs are a full assault on the concerted effort to dumb down society, and they expose many truths hidden from view of the masses, while breaking the spell of apathy with information disguised as rock n' roll.

Inside Job-Don Henley (Music Video)

Don Henley's "Inside Job" Album Cover
Courtesy:  (http://www.wbr.com/donhenley/index2.html)
The song is on an album of the same name:

Inside Job
Released May 23, 2000
Warner Bros. CD 47083-2
Produced by Don Henley and Stan Lynch

So unless he had foreknowledge....

While you were sleeping
They came and took it all away
The lanes and the meadows
The places where you used to play
It was an inside job
By the well-connected
Your little protest
Summarily rejected
It was an inside job
Like it always is
Chalk it up to business as usual
While we are dreaming
This little island disappears
While you are looking the other way
They'll take your right to own your own ideas
And it's an inside job
Favors collected
Your trusted servants
Have left you unprotected
It was an inside job
Like it always is
Just chalk it up
To business as usual
You think that you're so smart
But you don't have a fucking clue
What those men up in the towers
Are doing to me and you
And they'll keep doin' it and doin' it
And doin' it and doin' it
And doin' it and doin' it
And doin' it and doin' it
Until we all wake up
Wake up, wake up, wake up, wake up
I know what I've done wrong
I am acquainted with the night
I know how hard it is
To always walk out in the light
And it's an inside job
To learn about forgiving
It's an inside job
To hang on to the joy of living
They know the road by which you came
They know your mother's maiden name
And what you had for breakfast
And what you've hidden in the mattress
Insect politics
Indifferent universe
Bang your head against the wall
But apathy is worse
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
Yeh, yeah
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
It's an inside job
Inside Job - Don Henley from jholidis on Vimeo.

Inside Job is the fourth studio album by American rock musician Don Henley. Released through the Warner Bros. record label on May 23, 2000,[1] the album is currently his last album of all-new materiel to date.
The song "Goodbye to a River" was apparently named after the book of the same title by John Graves. In the album's liner notes Henley wrote: "Respect and gratitude to fellow Texan, John Graves, for his inspirational writing - Goodbye to a River (1960) and other books." The album was the first solo album for Henley in 11 years, the album reached #7 on the charts and released two Adult Contemporary Tracks singles with "Taking You Home", and "Everything's Different Now". "Taking You Home" was also released as a single on the Billboard Hot 100 and reached #58.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inside_Job_(album)

An intersection of Israel, US special interests, and a desire for a new type of unipolar global hegemony led by the US to "fill the gap" left in the wake of the end of the cold war. Also, to triangulate against the rising stars of China, Asia and even the EU to a lessor degree. Dollar hegemony is also involved I think, as Saddam had switched over to the EU for his oil currency. But most definitely Israel in a big way, who had infiltrated the US government, through the likes of Perle, Rummy, Wolfowitz, Abrams, Feith and others.

When this political think tank dovetailed with the PNAC agenda, then the stage was set.

A Clean Break:
A New Strategy for Securing the Realm
http://www.israeleconomy.org/strat1.htm

What we see now, is that the whole idea failed miserably, the ultimate goal of which was surely to remap the middle east, in order to remove the Palestinians to the other side of the Jordan River, with the fall of Syria.

No doubt Cheney had 9/11 in his briefcase, so to speak, as something which had been on the shelf and in development for years, possibly even as far back as the Reagan years, or even before, which took root during Bush Sr's Presidency, when Cheney was his Secretary of Defence.

In many ways, I think Bush Sr. via Cheney has had a firm hand in everything as well.

Do you think it's a coincidence or did he have foreknowledge?  I remember Aaron Russo telling a story in which Nick Rockefeller allegedly told Aaron about the planned attack.
“Inside Job is my view of the world from this particular time and place,” concludes Henley.  “My marriage and the birth of my children have had a profound effect.  Despite all the sham and selfishness, life is still good.  Children constantly rekindle hope and appreciation -- and they have excellent bullshit detectors.  It’s a wonderful thing.”  ~ Don Henley's Biography

Lil Wayne's 'My Homies Still' Music Video Linked to Colo. Movie Theater Shooting?

Lil Wayne, rapper and hip-hop mogul, recently released a music video for "My Homies Still" featuring rapper Big Sean, which has caused concern among some who have drawn similarities between the visuals featuring 12 skeletons in a movie theater and the recent killing of 12 people at a movie theater in Colorado.

The rapper's video features many bizarre visuals, including pink elephants, a man with a dog face and mannequins being treated like people. However, the real shocker came for some in scenes featuring a woman donning a mask favoring that of Batman, and Wayne partying in a movie theater with 12 skeletons.

Many people took to Twitter to question if there was a connection between the Louisiana rapper's new video which premiered three days before the Aurora, Colo., shooting and the massacre that took place during "The Dark Knight Rises."

"A devil, goat head, donkey head, batman/girl, at a table? All have something in common, they are all in a Lil Wayne video," one person tweeted about the matter. "That shooting was so set up."

While many people tweeted about the video's similarities being a part of the Illuminati, a secret elite organization said to be attempting to take over the world through symbolism and rituals, some weren't so quick to jump to conclusions.

"You are so dumb if you think Lil Wayne has anything to do with the shootings at that Batman premiere," another person tweeted. "I can't even deal with that stupidity."

When one person asked the video's director about the link between the Colorado massacre and the video, he responded on the social networking website.

"It's just sad that people try an associate a tragedy to a music video that was created by having fun nothing more," director Parris tweeted. "I'm not that deep or sick to put cryptic messages in my videos purely art and entertainment." Source

Poway Grammy Winner Pens TSA Pat-Down Protest Song

Grammy-winning musician Steve Vaus has used an Oceanside man's experience with airline security as inspiration for a new parody he released Friday, "Help You Make It to Your Flight."
Like the classic country song "Help Me Make It Through the Night," the song starts off romantic.
Take the ribbon from your hair
Shake it loose and let it fall
Then, it gets right into the sarcasm.
Leave your shoes right over there
Now, get up against the wall
I’ll run my hands inside your thighs
Up your legs and out of sight
But you can trust the TSA
To help you make it to your flight.
Vaus, aka Buck Howdy, said he couldn't resist poking a little fun at the TSA for all their poking, prodding and patting down.
Concerns over the agency's policies struck a nerve after Oceanside resident John Tyner likened it to sexual assault. TheTSA launched an investigation, a Congressman has called for a hearing and there's now even a T-shirt with Tyner's rally cry "If You Touch My Junk, I'm Gonna Have You Arrested."
All we needed was a parody song.
Vaus, who won a Grammy in 2010, is the husband of Corrie Vaus, a reporter with NBCSanDiego partner Channel 4 San Diego.
