In an article entitled, "Flu reaches epidemic level in U.S., says CDC", reporter Sharon Begley pumps up alarm concerning the virulent and epidemic nature of the current flu sweeping the country. However, the report admits it lacks documentation of the very numbers it purports to use to buttress its claims.

While the Reuters article, published on January 11, solemnly announces that a pandemic is officially at play when the flu achieves a rate of 7.2 % of deaths during a time period, it also earnestly states that there is no definitive count of the total deaths caused by the flu.

Wait a minute here. The lead paragraph of this story stated: “Influenza has officially reached epidemic proportions in the United States, with 7.3 percent of deaths last week caused by pneumonia and the flu, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said on Friday.”

So the exact percentage of deaths caused by flu is known but the number of flu deaths is not?

Study Confirms Flu Shot Makes You Sicker

An interesting article appeared in a Canadian newspaper, The Vancouver Sun, about research that found the flu vaccine actually was linked to H1N1 illnesses, the pandemic flu that never materialized in 2008-09, if you remember.

Vancouver researcher Dr. Danuta Skowronski led a team of researchers questioning certain flu virus events that seemed to impact people who received the 2008-09 flu vaccine.  Dr. Skowronski, incidentally, is an influenza expert with the B.C. Center for Disease Control.

What captivated Dr. Skowronski’s interest was the fact that those who were vaccinated with the H1N1 pandemic flu virus were the ones who were infected with it rather than people who did not receive the H1N1 flu vaccine.  Initially that phenomenon was called the “Canadian problem” since research outside of Canada did not come up with similar findings.  The real ‘kicker’ was that five studies performed in several Canadian provinces found the same results: H1N1 vaccination correlated with pandemic flu virus infection. Apparently there were some doubts about ‘anecdotal’ findings, so Skowronski’s research team did a study with ferrets.  That study’s results were presented at the Interscience Conference on Antimicrobial Agents and Chemotherapy.  What researchers found after working with 32 ferrets was the vaccinated group became significantly sicker than the controls.  Eventually, all ferrets recovered.

The study was blinded, i.e., researchers didn’t know which ferrets received the 2008 flu shot.  Half the ferrets received the flu shot and the balance were given a placebo injection.  Then all ferrets were infected with the H1N1 virus.  Those ferrets that were vaccinated became sicker than the non-vaccinated ferrets.  Dr. Skowronski said, “The findings are consistent with the increased risk that we saw in the human studies.”

Apparently more research as to why the flu vaccine seems to predispose those vaccinated to the flu virus is being advised along with the admonition to receive an annual flu shot even though ferrets and people get sicker from those flu shots.  That is something everyone needs to know more about and, in particular, the ingredients used to make flu vaccines.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has the website Vaccines, Blood and Biologics that lists four influenza vaccines: Influenza A (H1N1) 2009 Monovalent; Influenza Virus Vaccine, H5N1 (for National stockpile); Influenza Virus Vaccine, Quadrivalent, Types A and B; and Influenza Virus Vaccine, Trivalent, Types A and B made by numerous pharmaceutical companies. 

Before rolling up your children’s and your sleeves, maybe it would be wise to do some homework and become an informed healthcare consumer about vaccines, and the flu shot in particular.

The article “Swine flu vaccine linked to increased risk of rare nerve disorder” by Sharon Kirkey also was published at The Vancouver Sun. Ms. Kirkey reports that numerous Canadian citizens contracted Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) after receiving the 2009 flu vaccine.  That’s an important fact healthcare consumers worldwide ought to know and consider as the Northern Hemisphere flu season draws near.

H1N1 vaccine linked to 700 percent increase in miscarriages

Recent data presented to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) Advisory Committee on Children's Vaccines has revealed some shocking information about the effects of the H1N1 / swine flu vaccine on pregnant women. According to the report, the rate of miscarriage among pregnant women during the 2009 H1N1 / swine flu pandemic soared by over 700 percent compared to previous years, pointing directly to the vaccine as the culprit -- but the CDC denies the truth and continues to insist nobody has been harmed.

According to the CDC, nearly 50 percent of all pregnant women were vaccinated with the H1N1 vaccine during the 2009 / 2010 influenza season. Those whose physicians instructed them to get a seasonal flu shot were three times more likely to get it, while those instructed specifically to get theH1N1 shot were ten times more likely to get it. And the numbers clearly show that along with the rise in vaccinations due to the H1N1 scare came the sharp increase in miscarriages, including a slew of actual reported adverse events.


But the CDC does not seem to care about the facts, as numerous reports indicate the agency has failed to report any of this vitalinformation to vaccine suppliers. In fact, when presented with the data for the third time, Dr. Marie McCormick, chair of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Vaccine Risk and Assessment Working Group, actually had the audacity to claim that there were no vaccine-related adverse events in pregnant women caused by the vaccine.

"This baseless and fallacious assessment by the CDC assessment group has given the green light to the CDC's Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) to continue their recommendation to give the 2010/11 flu shot to all people, including pregnant women," explained Eileen Dannemann, director of the National Coalition of Organized Women, presenter of the information.

"This upcoming 2010/11 flu vaccine contains the same elements that are implicated in the killing of these fetuses, the H1N1 viral component and the neurotoxin mercury (Thimerosal). Additionally, it contains two other viral strains -- a three-in-one shot for all people."

Overall, the number of vaccine-related "fetal demise" reports increased by 2,440 percent in 2009 compared to previous years, which is even more shocking than the miscarriage statistic. Meanwhile, the CDC continues to lie to the public about the vaccine, urging everyone, including pregnant women, to get it.

More people skipping flu shot this year

Americans seem to be wising up about the flu shot scam, according to a new study in Consumer Reports indicating that fewer people than last year are planning to, or have already gotten, the flu shot this year. Thirty-one percent of respondents indicated they are unsure if they will get this year's three-in-one combo vaccine because of concerns about its safety and effectiveness, while 30 percent said they definitely will not be getting the shot.

Statistics Canada recently released a report indicating that 60 percent of Canadians and 80 percent of Americans refused the H1N1vaccine last year, even though media and government campaigns pushed people for months to get it (http://www.naturalnews.com/029919_H...). And this year, despite endless prodding, most people are still opposed to getting any sort of flu shot.

According to the results of the survey, 44 percent of those opposed to the flu shot cited concerns about negative side effects. And these concerns are valid, considering that fluvaccines are known to cause severe neurological problems (http://www.naturalnews.com/026866_s...). Forty-one percent expressed concerns about the overall safety of flu shots, while 45 percent said that last year's swine flu pandemic was overblown and that the flu shot is likely unnecessary.

In another survey conducted by drug retailer CVS, two-thirds of respondents said that even though the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) now recommends that everyone over six months old get a flu shot, this advise plays no role in their decision-making process. Most people are simply ignoring authorities' recommendations, in other words.

There really is no good reason to get a flu shot. No legitimate evidence exists proving that they even work at all. But they do contain a variety of toxic additives that can cause severe health problems. So instead, it is better to maintain healthy vitamin D levels and take immune-boosting supplements and superfoods., which will do far more to improve health and prevent influenza.

Active and reserve Marines ordered to get flu shots

All Marines, active and reserve, are due for a flu shot unless they are medically exempt, according to new Defense Department guidelines.

“Comprehensive prevention measures must be enforced by Marine Corps leaders to prevent potential adverse operational consequences of influenza,” according to the guidelines authorized   for public release by Lt. Gen. R.T. Tryon, deputy commandant for plans, policies and operations.

The shot includes a vaccine for the 2009 h1n1 pandemic strain as one of three seasonal influenza components. Marines with a known allergic reaction and certain clinical conditions will be exempt.

DOD civilian employees, military retirees and family members are encouraged   to receive the flu shot, based on available supply, age and those with higher risk of health complications arising from influenza.
