Tea Party Express Senate Candidate Has Critic Muzzled

Kurt Nimmo

October 18, 2020
Alaska’s Joe Miller is described by the corporate media as the “insurgent candidate” and a “Tea Party favorite.” He was approved by the titular head of the trademark Tea Party, Sarah Palin, and received support for his Senate race from the Tea Party Express PAC, a neocon RINO organization masquerading as patriots.

On Sunday, it was reported that the editor of an online Alaska news site was roughed up and handcuffed at an event after he attempted to ask Miller a question.
“Tony Hopfinger, editor of the online Alaska Dispatch, told KTUU-TV that security pushed him as he tried to question Miller. He said he pushed back and that guards then detained him, accusing him of trespassing at the public event in Anchorage,” reports theAssociated Press. The security guards worked for Miller.
Hopfinger’s site is among the media outlets suing for access to Miller’s personnel record from his time as a government attorney. “Hopfinger was reportedly pressing Miller on whether the candidate had ever been reprimanded for politicking while working at the Fairbanks North Star Borough in 2008. Alaska Dispatch and other media have sued for the release of records related Miller’s time at the borough,” the Alaska Dispatch reported on Sunday. Questions have been raised about whether Miller resigned to avoid being fired and whether he once used borough computers for his own political activities.
Tony Hopfinger also writes for the Huffington Post.
PureWaterFreedom
Shannyn Moore, writing for the Huffington Post today, claims Joe Miller has his own “personal militia,” an obvious attempt to characterize Miller as a “rightwing extremist” and a radical Tea Party member. “Joe Miller’s narcissistic, militant disorder has come to full light with the detainment of journalist Tony Hopfinger. Political candidates with their own mercenaries are a recipe for disaster,” Moore writes.
As noted above, Miller is supported by the trademark version of the Tea Party where RINOs are the order of the day. He was blessed by Sarah Palin, who is supported by top neocons and talks about bombing Iran.
The Tea Party Express was formulated by Russo Marsh & Rogers, a neocon public relations firm based in Sacramento, California. In 2004, the PAC created Move America Forward, a pro-Iraq slaughter organization that has Melanie Morgan as chairperson. In 2006, Morgan suggested that New York Times editor Bill Keller be killed for the crime of “treason” after the Times’ reported on the government spying on Americans.
It does not look good. A trademark Tea Party candidate is funded in his Senate run by the usual neocon warmongers. He has hired a goon squad that acts like ushers at a Mussolini event. It is another example demonstrating that the trademark RINO Tea Party is more of the same. It hijacked the real Tea Party and now sells the same old Republican Party snake oil.
If these guys get into office in November, it will be business as usual.

Stewart and Colbert Sell Neocon Agenda to Left & Trash 9/11 Truth

Scott Creighton
American Everyman
September 30, 2010
I just have to ask, is there anything, anything, that billionare Sumner Redstone’s progressive propaganda tag-team of Jon Stewart & Stephen Colbert won’t do to help turn the supposed left 180 degrees from positions they held during the previous administration?
I have written several times about Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert turning into blatant propagandists since the Chosen One took office.
For example: there’s the time Jon Stewart played the MEMRI TV video demonizing Palestinians, Stephen Colbert’s recent revolting sucking-up to globalist Joe Biden, there was Stewart’s story about the South Park episode psyop involving Revolution Muslim which turns out to be run by a “converted” jewish ex-settler from the West Bank,Stephen’s sycophantic groveling and rebranding the Afghan occupation just after Obama took office, and then of course Stewart’s ambushing of Rod Blagojevich which I thought was a pretty odd position for a “progressive” to take after he practically gave back rubs and “happy endings” to each and every neocon that has come on his set to pimp their new books or try to rebrand themselves as anything but the war criminals they are. That list includes but is not limited to Bill Kristol, Ari Fleischer, John Bolton, Douglas Feith, Thomas Friedman, Tom Ridge, and John Yoo. Each and every one of the previously named neocons and or war criminals, Jon Stewart treated with more respect than he did Rod Blagojevich who’s only crime was to threaten Bank of America if they didn’t live up to the conditions of the banker bailout bill.
Recently these two progressive shills have each taken on a new directive which certainly lives up to their pathetic performances in the past.
Jon Stewart is now involved in what he calls the “Million Moderates March” and the premise of this is that everyone who is anyone in America these days is a “centrist” or a “moderate” and that only the “fringe” are getting any attention.
Centrism is, of course, just another name for the Washington Consensus, which is neoliberal/DLC “New Dem” corporatist fiscal ideology.
I seriously doubt that Stewart is correct in that assumption considering so many people are suffering under this economy, but since he recently had to grovel at the ultimate neoliberal’s feet (Bill Clinton), its not surprising that he would come out with this “move to the center” propaganda. Also interesting to note that he announced this new propaganda effort the same day he had Clinton on his show.
What is surprising is that Stewart chastised the radical left for holding such beliefs as “George Bush is a war criminal” and called to “restore sanity” on Oct. 30th 2010.
He later labeled it a “Million Moderate March.” The purpose, he said, is to counter what he called a minority of 15 percent or 20 percent of the country that has dominated the national political discussion with extreme rhetoric. He tarred both parties with that charge, mentioning both the attacks on the right against President Obama for being everything from a socialist to un-American and on the left against former President Bush for being a war criminal. Glenn Greenwald
Greenwald also noted Stewart’s history of aiding neocons with their image rebranding and book sales, though he doesn’t draw any conclusions about it like I do. Very polite of him if you ask me.
… but far more important than tone, in my view, is content.  For instance, Bill Kristol, a repeated guest on The Daily Show, is invariably polite on television, yet uses his soft-spoken demeanor to propagate repellent, destructive ideas.  The same is true for war criminal John Yoo, who also appeared, with great politeness, on The Daily Show. Moreover, some acts are so destructive and wrong that they merit extreme condemnation (such as Bush’s war crimes).  Glenn Greenwald
Personally, I have to agree with Mr. Greenwald in that certain actions merit extreme condemnation (like impeachment and imprisonment) and to that list I would like to toss out 1. lying 935 times to justify an illegal war which has killed over a million Iraqi peopleand dislocated about 4 million others, 2. creating false documents (Niger Yellow Cake) like the neocons at the Office of Special Plans did to justify an illegal war, 3. torture, 4. rendition, 5. secret prisons, 6. CIA backed mercenary death squads 7. depleted uranium spread across Iraq …  I mean, if these actions don’t merit calling George W. Bush (and several of Jon Stewart’s recent guests) a war criminal, what does?
Is turning a blind eye to such atrocities and war crimes really “sanity” or is it something else?
“After years of disclosures by government investigations, media accounts and reports from human rights organizations, there is no longer any doubt as to whether the current administration has committed war crimes,”Taguba wrote. “The only question that remains to be answered is whether those who ordered the use of torture will be held to account.” Glenn Greenwald
It’s clear that Stewart is doing his part to help the globalist regime in charge whitewash the past 10 years. He’s actually helping to rewrite our collective history on these matters and turn “moderate” progressives, those with their heads buried in the sand, against those “fringe” elements who tried to demand justice and accountability from the previous administration. If anything proves Jon Stewart’s complicity in the globalist criminal actions, this is certainly it.
Colbert is certainly not being left out in the cold either. He just recently “testified” before a congressional sub-committee in congress speaking out in favor of the precursor to the Comprehensive Immigration Reform bill being pushed by the Obama/Clinton regime but it was actually a holdover from the George Bush administration, that little tidbit they don’t like to mention too much these days. They also don’t like to hear the word “amnesty” tossed out in these congressional hearings, judging from a Democrat’s behavior.
Colbert’s presence at the hearing was insulting to say the least.
His presence was insulting to the congress members who were there and insulting to any intellectually honest American who would be offended that a paid comedian who has been shilling for his globalist boss would actually be asked to join in on any part of a serious discussion of the matter.
John Conyers, to his credit, asked Colbert to submit his “testimony” for the record and excuse himself before the hearing took place. He politely reminded Stephen he had nothing of value to add to the discussion, but Colbert couldn’t resist the spotlight and all the play he could get out of the stunt, so he remained but he was clearly shaken that someone there reminded him in public that his presence was nothing more than a PR stunt. He felt foolish and it showed.  It was an embarrassing thing to watch, and if you absolutely have to, here it is.
Colbert’s qualifications for being at the hearing was apparently centered around the fact that his film crew and he went out to an upstate New York farm where they filmed him acting like a completely spoiled, lazy American who couldn’t do the work a 65-year-old man sitting on his ass and picking beans in the field could do. Of course, the 65 year old man is here illegally so somehow that makes him capable of doing something a 30-year-old unemployed American can’t do. That’s pretty much the sum total of Stephen Colbert contribution to the discussion.
The Ag Jobs Bill this committee is discussing is an effort supported  by big US agriculture and other major corporations and in essence it would create an official 2nd class citizen status in America for these seasonal migrant workers and give them credit for the years they have worked in the agricultural industry toward a “path toward citizenship” (in short - coming to America illegally to work for slave-wages for 3 years would put them ahead of Mexicans who apply for citizenship legally and have to wait for 6 to 8 years for a green card) . It would also help create an increase in surplus labor which would certainly only serve to drive wages in the agricultural sector to near record lows. But it’s not only the agriculture industry that would be effected as Dr. Carol Swain pointed out during the committee hearing since many of the illegals once here, migrate out of the fields and into other, low skilled jobs, which only serves again to create a labor surplus in those fields and thus even more reductions in pay. The bill will give these slave-citizens the right to organize, a right they actually already have, but since the head of the UFW is clearly in bed with big agriculture here in America, that is like giving autoworkers the “right” to be represented by the UAW… and we all know what that has been good for recently.
Colbert’s “testimony” was painful to watch and adding insult to injury were his two staff members sitting behind him who clearly understood their little stunt wasn’t going as well as they had imagined it would. Life’s a little harder when you don’t have a studio audience being prompted by electric signs to laugh and applaud when they are told to. It’s also harder when your boss is sitting in front of you pretending like he had something to add to the hearing when he didn’t.
Maybe this Ag Jobs bill would help. I don’t know. Like most members of congress, I haven’t read it. But maybe we could offer more visas to the immigrants, who, let’s face it, will probably be doing these jobs anyway. And this improved legal status might allow immigrants recourse if they’re abused. And it just stands to reason to me that if your co-worker can’t be exploited then you are less likely to be exploited and that itself might improve pay and working conditions on these farms and eventually Americans may consider taking these jobs again.”  Stephen Colbert
In the history of convoluted logic, this stands in a seminal position in our recent congressional record, right up there with the healthcare bill being called the best thing for Americans since the New Deal, I suppose.
The Ag Jobs bill is easy to find so there is no excuse for Stephen Colbert not to have read it, since it is the subject of his “testimony” before congress. The man had zero qualifications for being there and the least he could have done is read the bill.  But he didn’t.
Basically, the bill itself is a holdover from the Bush administration that was tweaked and then submitted in May of 2009 just after the new neoliberal regime took office. It establishes a legal 2nd class citizen role by handing out what they call “blue cards” to certain migrant agricultural workers which locks them into a subservient role similar to the old feudal state. They basically have to take what they are given and STFU because if they get tossed out of the program, fired from the job, they get deported back to Mexico with nothing.
And it’s not just them. The bill creates a “derivative” legal status for the “blue card” worker’s wife and children which essentially means they can’t be deported even if they are here illegally, just so long as the worker behaves himself. Imagine the threat of having yourself and your entire family deported simply because you speak up for better working conditions or more pay. Quite a threat to be leveled at the worker, quite an incentive to take what he is given and shut up… and this is what the “progressive” left and Stephen Colbert are fighting for?
That’s neoliberalism folks.
This country has struggled for 200 years to earn the rights of each and every human being; to end the idea that there is a second class citizen status in America. People have marched, protested, fought and died for that prinicple. And here we have the “progressive” champion Stephen Colbert arguing for the creation of a second class citizenship of slave workers in America.
If you really want to understand what this is all about, you should have a listen to the testimony of Dr. Carol Swain from Vanderbilt University, a labor rights expert and activist of over 20 years. She used to be considered a hero on the left when she was railing against the injustices of the Bush administration but now that the Obama/Clinton neoliberal regime has taken office, she is vilified on the right AND left for fighting the same good fight.
Unlike Colbert, Dr. Swain has earned her right to testify before congress on this subject and her words prove it.
“I contend that America does not have a shortage of agricultural workers, instead we have a manufactured crisis by some who would like to ensure a steady supply of cheap labor and in some cases labor that bi-passes the H2A and H2B visa programs. … these unemployment numbers indicate there are native agricultural workers actively seeking employment in the sector… America cannot continue to bring in low skilled workers to compete with the most disadvantaged Americans…. nor can it continue to turn a blind eye to illegal immigration.  Often surplus labor that starts in the fields migrates into other industries. Without surplus labor, employers would be forced to pay higher wages and many would be forced to improve substandard working conditions… the UFW ‘Take Our Jobs” initiative has not, in my opinion, made a serious effort to recruit American workers, this is a publicity stunt…. the rapid influx of cheap labor from foreign countries creates an over-supply of labor that works against the interests of native workers, it depresses their wages, it reduces their opportunities, and it deters employers from investing in native human capital…. this is a disgrace. Congress needs to reform immigration and they need to protect the most disadvantaged Americans.” Dr. Carol Swain
Once this bill is passed, and it will be, it’s impact on the already suffering disadvantaged in America will be staggering. There is also nothing that states that other industries won’t push for a similar bill regarding the H2B workers. The bill calls for the agricultural workers to put in 150 days per year and that of course frees them up to work in other industries the remaining 200+. The spouses of these workers will also be free to work in the country under their “derivative” status, which of course will only help to further undermine native workers wage structure even more.
There is nothing humanitarian or “progressive” about this bill, yet that won’t stop the “moderates” on the left from getting behind it simply because Stephen Colbert showed up at congress and made a fool out of himself. And that of course was the whole point.
As the neocon/neoliberal agenda moves on, shills like Stewart and Colbert are doing their part to rebrand the cruelty and inhumanity of their corporatist agenda to make it palatable to their audience; the left. These two recent propaganda efforts only prove how tightly the threads of “centrism” are woven in our dominating culture.
But they also show something else. That it only takes a few minutes, a little research and effort, to expose the fraudulent nature of their work. The emptiness that fills their words. While Stewart argues for the whitewashing of the Bush regime’s history and Colbert clowns for the creation of an indentured servant class of slave labor, each and every remaining liberal gets a little closer to seeing them for what they are; a clearer picture of the puppets and their masters.
We won’t be fooled again.

Karl Rove: Defender of Forever War and a Devastating National Debt

Kurt Nimmo
Infowars.com
September 15, 2020
Former Nixon dirty trickster and Bush’s brain, Karl Rove, is miffed over Christine O’Donnell’s win in the Delaware primary. Appearing on Fox News with Sean Hannity, Rove depicted O’Donnell as suffering from paranoia and slammed her for taking two decades to pay off her student loans. Unlike Rove, who owns $2.5 million of real estate in D.C. and Florida, O’Donnell appears to be an average American of average means. Like an increasing number of average Americans, she was unable to pay her mortgage and had problems with the IRS. Political operatives of Rove’s class like Timothy Geithner and Tom Daschle rarely if ever experience tax and financial problems.
Rove is not specifically opposed to Ms. O’Donnell’s “nutty” personal life. He is opposed to average Americans who are not hand-picked members of the establishment and the ruling elite winning primary elections and replacing career politicians. Rove is concerned the Tea Party will oust a large number of Republicans along with Democrats in November. Karl Rove and the Republicans understand what the Tea Party represents and it frightens them. It represents the end to business as usual in the district of criminals. It means the people may actually wrestle control of the government away from transnational corporations and the banksters. If successful, it will mean real, sincere change, not Barry Obama change with Goldman Sachs minions in the White House and bankster lobbyists glutting the hall of Congress.
More and more Americans understand there is little difference between Republicans and Democrats, although operatives like Rove and teleprompter readers like Sean Hannity and his “conservative” ilk insist there is a wide ideological chasm between the parties. In fact, they are actually opposing sides of the same party, as insider Carroll Quigley noted a couple decades ago.
The sameness of the political class becomes manifestly obvious when one looks at the national debt. Republicans claim to back the Tea Party demand that the debt be addressed before the American people end up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered, as Thomas Jefferson warned. Establishment Republicans may pay lip service to the national debt owed to bankers and foreigners, but when the rubber meets the road they are spendaholics little different than their Democrat colleagues. George Bush jacked up the debt while in office — under his reign as Oval Office seat warmer it nearly doubled — and Republicans sold future generations down the river when they passed the $700 billion Medicare prescription drug “benefit,” actually another classic transfer of wealth. Republicans initiated the “bailout” of Wall Street at the behest of the bankers and the quasi-socialist scheme to save a non-competitive auto industry following the engineered economic collapse that began in 2008.
Republicans claim they are for rolling back income taxes. And yet House Minority Leader John Boehner said two days ago that he would support increasing the taxes of “rich” Americans earning over $250,000, that is if the Democrats support tax cuts for those making less than $250,000. Democrats think they need more time to game out their strategy, that is to say they will wait until after the mid-terms elections to decide average Americans are not entitled to keep the money they earn.
Republicans tell us they are for rolling back the size of government. They are taking a serious look at repealing Obamacare if they regain the House and Senate. They don’t mean it. Supporters of the growing Tea Party movement know Republicans cannot be trusted to live up to their wishy-washy election season promise to get rid of Obamacare and its authoritarian mandates. Establishment Republicans have attacked Tea Party candidates who have proposed gutting federal agencies and — most importantly — have called for the Federal Reserve to be audited and eventually dismantled. Republicans want to leave everything the way it is in Washington. They resent meddlesome Tea Party demands.
The real Tea Party — not the Borg hive imitation devised by the Republicans — has called for an end to the “wars” in Iraq and Afghanistan. The real Tea Party follows the advice of George Washington in his farewell address. The first president cautioned against foreign entanglements. The party of the war criminal master mind Karl Rove does not want to avoid illegal and immoral entanglements, but expand them to Pakistan, Yemen, Somalia, Iran, Syria, and elsewhere in the name of unsustainable hegemony for the ruling elite, an effort that will certainly spell disaster for the nation and is engineered to do just that.
Christine O’Donnell won in Delaware in part because voters realized her opponent, Mike Castle, supported the globalist plan to cap and tax the American people. O’Donnell pointed out that Castle could be the deciding “climate” (tax and impoverish) vote in the lame-duck session of Congress. She promised to sink the scheme. “Castle is a big supporter of cap and trade,”O’Donnell told Fox News. “Nobody wants this bill. In this race, I am the only candidate who has pledged to not only vote against it but advocate against it. So people are looking at this as perhaps me being that filibuster vote.”
Karl Rove and the globalists are pushing for cap and tax, larger and more burdensome government, more intrusion by the state into personal affairs of citizens and small business, are angling for more taxes and staggering debt to be paid to the banksters, more destruction of the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, a larger and more asphyxiating police state surveillance and control grid, and interminable wars that offer no hope of resolution or honor, just an endless trail of body bags and flag-draped coffins.
Karl Rove the consummate insider does not dislike Christine O’Donnell because she is paranoid or because it took her two decades to pay off her student loans, as he snidely told Sean Hannity. He dislikes and loathes her because she represents political change in Washington — and that must be halted at all cost.

Bill O’Reilly uses Ground Zero ‘mosque’ controversy as front for attack on 9/11 Truth

Andrew Steele
America 20xy
September 14, 2020
unbalanced.jpg
The slogan “fair and balanced” being associated with Fox News has become as infamous as the statements “War is Peace” and “Slavery is Freedom” in George Orwell’s 1984.
Last week various activists successfully managed to generate publicity for 9/11 truth:
• Richard Gage of AE 911 Truth and former Senator Mike Gravel held a press conference in Washington DC presenting evidence that the Twin Towers and Building 7 were destroyed by controlled demolition.  Along with that, local press conferences were also held by people throughout the world, presenting the same evidence.  Mainstream media covered the story and wrote of AE 9/11 Truth’s findings without the usual spin, bringing the issue of Building 7 to the forefront.
• On 9/11/10 Richard Gage, 9/11 victim family member Manny Badillo, and others shined a third beam of light into the sky over New York City in a symbolic representation of Building 7 to accompany the traditional two beams that shine every year for the Twin Towers.
• We Are Change held successful protests in New York City around the anniversary of 9/11, as it does every year, along with various speaking events.  One of them featured anti-war hero Cindy Sheehan, who said  that she now thinks the 9/11 attacks were an inside job.
Nine years after the attacks, having suffered the plunder of their wealth by Wall Street, seeing the wars continue under Obama, and recognizing more clearly the endless stream of disinfo and lies that their government and mainstream media are feeding them, more and more Americans are slowly begining to look at 9/11 and the improbable collapse of the 3 buildings in New York with a more critical eye.
9/11 Truthers aren’t the only ones who recognize this.
Enter Bill O’Reilly.
Using the drummed up issue of the Ground Zero cultural center as the backdrop, O’Reilly dedicated most of his show on Monday to a transparent and desperate attack on the 9/11 Truth movement by “exposing” that Feisal Abdul Rauf — the Imam behind the cultural center — has connections to Faiz Khan — a Muslim who has publicly stated that the 9/11 attacks were an inside job.  Though disguised as a new twist to the tired ‘mosque’ controversy, the true aim of O’Reilly’s attack is to isolate those who question the official story of 9/11 by sending out the message that any connection with 9/11 Truthers is not only undesirable, but potentially criminal.  In O’Reilly’s attack piece there was no discussion of the issues raised by the 9/11 Truth movement, only how much Rauf will distance himself from his Truther associate.
In the clip below Bill opens with a hysterical introduction of the issue, demanding that Rauf explain himself and why he didn’t make his association to Khan public.  Bill interviews Roy Locker, who is the managing editor for The Investigative Project on Terrorism — a data-gathering center on Islamist groups.  Locker describes Khan’s past speaking engagements in a cautious and somber tone, as if they equated to participating in brutal massacres instead of exercises of free speech.  Towards the end of the interview O’Reilly and Locker imply that Rauf’s association with Khan now opens the door to the possibility that the Ground Zero cultural center will become a haven for terrorist activities, thus associating 9/11 Truth itself with terrorism.
This message carries into the next segment in a panel discussion with Mary Catherine Ham and Juan Williams.  During the discussion Ham claims that Khan’s statements regarding the government’s role in 9/11 somehow amounts to excusing terrorist violence, (without actually clarifying how that is so). She also proclaims, “public figures are required to distance themselves from 9/11 Truthers because that is the decent and right thing to do.”
In the following video Bill O’Reilly and Brit Hume discuss the political ramifications of the new Rauf and Khan angle.  Sounding like a B movie cop telling a teenage rebel to “get a haircut, young man,” Hume says,  ”Truthers are in bad odor in America,” and then goes on to tell Americans precisely what they feel when they listen to people who know that 9/11 was an inside job.
Though O’Reilly is leading the charge, if the issue takes off no doubt Obama will maintain the script of condemning 9/11 Truth as a vile, hateful cause.  The mainstream media’s hope is that if both presented sides of the hyped issue show disdain for 9/11 Truthers, a weak-minded American public will too, and 9/11 Truth will fade into the shadows out of fear of public scorn.
It’s an old strategy that still fails to work.  As the mainstream media’s power gets weaker and the alternative media gets stronger, people are beginning to see the propaganda-laden cable news networks as annoying relics of the last decade, reaching out in a dying grasp for America’s heart and soul.   While sometimes useful for gauging which direction the fake establishment right wants to steer the public in, Fox News has very little credibility left.  The slogan “fair and balanced” being associated with it has become as infamous as the statements “War is Peace”and “Slavery is Freedom” in George Orwell’s 1984.
As is often the case, mainstream media attacks on the 9/11 Truth movement help the cause by bringing the subject to the public’s attention, prompting individuals to research the issue for themselves.

The George W. Bush Memoir: Now Here’s a Book I Might Consider Burning

Keith Johnson
Revolt of the Plebs
September 15, 2010
Admirers of George W. Bush will soon have an opportunity to get inside the head of their dearly beloved neo-conservative icon.  His much-hyped memoir, ‘Decision Points’ is due out in bookstores on November 9th.
bush-book.jpg
Bush’s “decisions” have “decisively” flushed this nation into a despotic death spiral.
We’re told that ‘The Decider’ has, “spent almost every day” writing what his publishing house calls, “a strikingly personal and candid account revealing how and why he made the defining decisions in his consequential presidency and personal life.”
Oh—the romantic visions this must conjure up in the minds of so many adoring fans.  Can’t you just imagine all of those sleepless nights Ol’Dubyah must have spent burning the midnight oil?  I can just see him now…instructing his house staff that, “I must not be disturbed” before locking the doors to his study and sinking into a big leather chair.  There he sits, alone and reflective, preferring to log his thoughts on paper instead of using a computer because—after all—he’s an old fashioned kind of guy.  Occasionally he will rise from his desk to step out onto the terrace.  There…he breathes in the cool night air and gazes up at the stars. He asks the good Lord to help him find the strength to confront his demons, and the courage to share with his fellow countrymen just how often he struggled with doubts before being forced to make tough and painful decisions.
Blah…blah…blah…
Well, if entertaining that fantasy is what helps you get through the book—more power to ya.’However, I prefer to entertain a more likely scenario.  Mine has a staff of ghostwriters chasing Ol’Dubyah around the golf course in a vain attempt to pin him down long enough to do some fact checking.  Can’t you just see him…shooting rubber bands at their head as he makes off-color remarks about how poorly they fit into their clothes?  Yeah, that’s more Ol’Dubyah’s style.
But, according to a press release by Crown Publishers, we’re promised a more demure and accessible Bush, one who will be honest and direct in his writing as he reveals “intimate” and“unprecedented” details of his personal life.  We’ll learn what went into his decision to quit drinking, how he decided to give his life over to God (whatever God that might be), and about his relationship with members of his family.  Oh, how sickingly sweet.
The forthcoming book also promises to bring “readers inside the Texas Governor’s Mansion on the night of the hotly contested 2000 election; aboard Air Force One on 9/11 in the gripping hours after America’s most devastating attack since Pearl Harbor; inside the Situation Room in the moments before launching the war in Iraq; and behind the Oval Office desk for his historic and controversial decisions on the financial crisis, Hurricane Katrina, Afghanistan, Iran, and other issues that have shaped the first decade of the 21st century.
Wow, that sounds like some ride, which is exactly what readers will be taken for if they choose to plop down $35 (plus tax) for this steaming loaf of bovine excrement.  I’m sure there are many who are waiting to do just that.  This book will certainly find its way to the New York Times bestsellers list, and you’re bound to find copies of this opus prominently displayed on the bookshelves of Burger King franchise owners; Wells Fargo branch managers; small town police chiefs, and all manner of suburban dwelling professionals who consider themselves to be upwardly mobile members of the elite.
However, there is one morsel of truth that can be found in the aforementioned teaser.  These “issues”certainly “have shaped the first decade of the 21st century.” But, come on, do they really expect me us believe that it was George W. Bush who made all of those “controversial decisions”? That will require some spin, especially in light of the fact that every move Bush made was in accordance with plans that were written out for him well in advance of his Presidency.
In 1997, an assorted cast of villains created a Washington based think tank called ‘The Project for the New American Century’ (PNAC).  This group was—in large part—the brainchild of Paul Wolfowitz, who would later become the U.S. Deputy Secretary of Defense under Bush and the architect of his Iraq policy.  Among some of the founding members—who would later be given key positions in the Bush administration—were Dick Cheney (future V.P.), Donald Rumsfeld (future Defense Secretary), and Richard Perle (future Defense Policy Board chairman).  Other members would go on to become highly influential leaders of the neo-conservative movement—like William Kristol—famed conservative writer for the Weekly Standard, owned by Ruppert Murdoch, who also owns international media giant Fox News.
The goal of this group was to establish America’s hegemony throughout the world and maintain global dominance through military force.  The way they planned to carry this out was outlined in a white paper entitled “Rebuilding America’s Defenses: Strategy, Forces and Resources for a New Century.”  In it, they identified four “Core Missions” for the United States military:
1.) Defend the American Homeland
2.) Fight and decisively win multiple, simultaneous major theatre wars
3.) Perform the ‘constabulary’ duties associated with shaping the security environment in critical regions
4.) Transform U.S. forces to exploit the “revolution in military affairs”
All of these objectives had been in the planning stages for years, long before Bush Jr. came onto the scene.  While he was still busy making failures out of every company he was involved with in the private sector, it was Cheney and his gang of criminals who were busy making the“controversial decisions” that W. would later take credit for.
As early as 1992, plans for military adventurism, into and beyond Iraq, were well underway.  At that time, Cheney was President Bush Sr.’s Secretary of Defense.  Following ‘Operation Desert Storm,’ Cheney collaborated with two of his top aides, Paul Wolfowitz and Lewis ‘Scooter’ Libby, in drafting up a post-cold war American defense strategy.  They came up with a document entitled, ‘Defense Planning Guidance.’ It maintained that the U.S. must assert pre-emptive military supremacy to “discourage advanced industrial nations from challenging our leadership or even aspiring to a larger regional or global role” andto safeguard “access to vital raw material, primarily Persian Gulf oil.” To this end, it was essential that the U.S. maintain a permanent military presence in the Middle East and to “keep all peacekeeping and rebuilding missions within the power of American political leadership rather than that of the United Nations.”
This would become the ideological blueprint for PNAC and the foreign policy objectives of a future administration they planned to control through an installed, puppet President.
This is where our boy George emerges onto the scene.  Cheney needed someone he and his cohorts could trust and control.  George’s younger brother, Jeb, was already a key player in PNAC as a signatory to the “Rebuilding America’s Defenses” document.  Jeb was considered far more intelligent than George, but lacked the political experience and public recognition that his older brother enjoyed.
Cheney put his full support behind W.’s presidential campaign and even headed his vice-presidential search committee.  After reviewing the committee’s findings, Bush concluded that Cheney was the man he wanted as his running mate.  Go figure.
Everything the PNAC group had invested in, hinged on the victory of George W. Bush over Al Gore in the 2000 Presidential elections.  George had to win by any means necessary.  So it was up to his brother Jeb—a devout PNAC operative and then-Governor of Florida—to tip the scales in his favor by illegally removing 57,700 Florida voters from the rolls.  And the rest—as they say—is history.
Once the PNAC President was installed, all that was needed was a ‘catalyst’ to put their plan into motion.  A reference to this scheme was revealed in Section V of Rebuilding America’s Defenses, entitled “Creating Tomorrow’s Dominant Force“, which includes the sentence: “Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event––like a new Pearl Harbor”
On September 11, 2001, they got their Pearl Harbor.  The decision to invade Iraq and Afghanistan was not one that was pondered upon in the mind of the idiot Bush.  This had been the plan all along.  In 1998, fifteen PNAC members were signatories on a letter to then-President Clinton, urging him to “undertake military action” to eliminate “the possibility that Iraq will be able to use or threaten to use weapons of mass destruction.” The PNAC NeoCons had been salivating over Iraq and Afghanistan for years, and seized upon the 9/11 events to move their plan forward.
So just keep these “points” in perspective as you sit down to read how the “Decider” “decided”all of those “decisions” that have “decisively” flushed this nation into a despotic death spiral.
