Besieging Belarus: Next on the globalists' chopping block

Bangkok, Thailand April 20, 2011 - With Libya preparing to face Western troops, and Syria fending off an overtly foreign-backed uprising, other nations long accused of being "rouge" by the global corporate-financier oligarchy are bracing for what is inevitably to come. While earlier assurances were made to the House of Saud, it seems even they are making provisions to secure their kingdom against their own society unhinging, fueled by both years of draconian brutality and now US funded sedition.

The groundwork has been laid for this global upheaval to spread as far as Moscow and Beijing, however a little known republic is getting increasingly more attention from the corporate-financier oligarchy, the Eastern European nation of Belarus. With 9.5 million people and sitting right across the border from Moscow, it serves as the next logical step for NATO's expansion toward the goal of encircling Russia.

Egypt uprising 'repudiates' Al-Qaeda: McCain

CAIRO (AFP) - Two senior US lawmakers said Sunday during a visit to Cairo that the Egyptian revolt that toppled president Hosni Mubarak showed change in the region was possible without extremism.

"This revolution is a repudiation of Al-Qaeda," Senator John McCain, an Arizona Republican, said after talks with Arab League chief Amr Mussa.

"This revolution has shown the people of the world, not just in the Arab world, that peaceful change can come about and violence and extremism is not required in order to achieve democracy and freedom," he told reporters.

McCain and Connecticut Independent counterpart Joe Lieberman are the first members of the US congress to visit Egypt after Mubarak was ousted in a popular uprising.

Before the revolution, it was thought "there were only two choices: on the one hand a secular dictatorship, on the other hand a fear of a religious extremist dictatorship," Lieberman said.

"There is a third way that Egypt has shown the world and that is a peaceful democratic future that is inclusive of the widest range of people," he said.

Before resigning, Mubarak handed power to a military council that has vowed to pave the way for a free democratic system.

The Supreme Council of the Armed Forces has set up a panel to oversee constitutional amendments and pledged free and fair presidential and parliamentary elections after a transitional period.

Does Joe Lieberman's Resignation Signal Imminent Collapse?

Eric Blair
Activist Post

Joe Lieberman is announcing his retirement today which would seem like a victory for the liberty movement. Throughout his career the Senator from Connecticut has been the consummate insider. From conceding victory before Gore did in the 2000 recount, to his full conversion to NeoCon status after 9/11, to introducing a barrage on freedom-smashing legislation; he seems to be the spearhead for ushering in the control grid over the opposition to tyranny.

His non-threatening monotone voice and easy manner made him appear as a gentle servant of the people, yet nothing could be further from the truth. He is certainly near the pinnacle of the elite control structure and his departure should be viewed as alarming.

The establishment media will point to real political challenges Lieberman faces like the fact that anti-Lieberman activists have taken over his party created in 2006 called Connecticut for Lieberman. However, his resignation may have a deeper meaning, perhaps indicating that his inside job is complete and this ship is about to capsize.

Political insiders have known for some time that the collapse of America is imminent.  During a very rare closed session of Congress in March 2008, according to confirmed leaks the following are some of the warnings presented to lawmakers:
  • the imminent collapse of the U.S. economy to occur by September 2008
  • the imminent collapse of US federal government finances by February 2009
  • the possibility of Civil War inside the USA as a result of the collapse
  • advance round-ups of "insurgent U.S. citizens" likely to move against the government
  • the possibility of retaliation against members of Congress for the collapses
  • the location of "safe facilities" for members of Congress and their families to reside during expected massive civil unrest
Of course some of these events have not yet transpired, but are surely intended to.  The financial collapse of 2008 did indeed occur, which presented the opportunity for the banks to accomplish a final looting of the public. Perhaps their best social minds believed such a massive robbery of the American people would actually force them off their couch in protest.  Incidentally, the social engineers seemed to underestimate the level of inertia driven by the embedded slovenly consciousness created by the system itself.

Regardless, these collapse plans are underway, and Lieberman has been a primary architect of the Big Brother control grid currently under construction.  As the slow collapse unfolds, the government has been openly preparing the military for civil unrest due to the ever increasing desperation levels of the population and the mathematically-impossible-to-pay-off debt.  Lieberman has helped to create and promote the most draconian aspects for containing "insurgent U.S. citizens."

Lieberman has sponsored proposed legislation such as the Enemy Belligerent Act which gives the government the power to "indefinitely" detain and hold American citizens without Miranda rights simply for questioning the government and its policies; and the Protecting Cyberspace Act, which reportedly gives the Executive branch a "kill switch" for the Internet for purposes they deem an emergency.  This bill was slightly tweaked and re-introduced as an "anti-WikiLeaks" bill after the mainstream's feigned outrage over Cablegate.

Last February when the Congress passed the re-authorization of the Patriot Act, Lieberman, as the Chairman of the Senate's Homeland Security Committee, was quoted as saying "[There was] the growing concern about increase on the pace of attacks on the homeland . . . and frankly, I think the Patriot [Act] got a bad name under the Bush Administration."

He also firmly emphasized the importance of extending three blatantly anti-Bill of Rights provisions:
  1. Roving wiretaps that cover multiple phones or computers a suspect may use
  2. Warrantless search and seizures
  3. Surveillance of “lone wolf” non-U.S. citizens with no terror group affiliation
It seems very convenient that as Congress once again quietly prepares to re-authorize the Patriot Act, a "lone wolf" American gunman who was not affiliated with an organized terrorist organization shoots a member of Congress and kills several others.  The political rhetoric war started immediately following the Arizona shooting by the mainstream media and sufficiently divided-and-conquered even the alternative media outlets who normally denounce false left-right politics. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, all the politicians are preaching bipartisanship and singing Kumbaya after Obama's Oklahoma City moment.

Seemingly desperate to take away more freedoms as America implodes, we can expect the Patriot Act to be renewed with a new provision to openly monitor U.S.-citizen "lone wolves" on the Internet, and in person, who dare point out the criminal actions of the corporate government.  Once fully in place, these laws will finalize the infrastructure to commence the hard collapse -- perhaps by refusing to raise the debt ceiling.  In other words, get ready for the end game, Lieberman's job is finished and he can now retreat to his fallout bunker.

Espionage Act: How the Government Can Engage in Serious Aggression Against the People of the United States

This week, Senators Joe Lieberman and Dianne Feinstein engaged in acts of serious aggression against their own constituents, and the American people in general. They both invoked the 1917 Espionage Actand urged its use in going after Julian Assange. For good measure, Lieberman extended his invocation of the Espionage Act to include a call to use it to investigate the New York Times, which published WikiLeaks' diplomatic cables. Reports yesterday suggest that U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder may seek to invoke the Espionage Act against Assange.

These two Senators, and the rest of the Congressional and White House leadership who are coming forward in support of this appalling development, are cynically counting on Americans' ignorance of their own history -- an ignorance that is stoked and manipulated by those who wish to strip rights and freedoms from the American people. They are manipulatively counting on Americans to have no knowledge or memory of the dark history of the Espionage Act -- a history that should alert us all at once to the fact that this Act has only ever been used -- was designed deliberately to be used -- specifically and viciously to silence people like you and me.

The Espionage Act was crafted in 1917 -- because President Woodrow Wilson wanted a war and, faced with the troublesome First Amendment, wished to criminalize speech critical of his war. In the run-up to World War One, there were many ordinary citizens -- educators, journalists, publishers, civil rights leaders, union activists -- who were speaking out against US involvement in the war. The Espionage Act was used to round these citizens by the thousands for the newly minted 'crime' of their exercising their First Amendment Rights. A movie producer who showed British cruelty in a film about the Revolutionary War (since the British were our allies in World War I) got a ten-year sentence under the Espionage act in 1917, and the film was seized; poet E.E. Cummings spent three and a half months in a military detention camp under the Espionage Act for the 'crime' of saying that he did not hate Germans. Esteemed Judge Learned Hand wrote that the wording of the Espionage Act was so vague that it would threaten the American tradition of freedom itself. Many were held in prison for weeks in brutal conditions without due process; some, in Connecticut -- Lieberman's home state -- were severely beaten while they were held in prison. The arrests and beatings were widely publicized and had a profound effect, terrorizing those who would otherwise speak out.

Presidential candidate Eugene Debs received a ten-year prison sentence in 1918 under the Espionage Act for daring to read the First Amendment in public. The roundup of ordinary citizens -- charged with the Espionage Act -- who were jailed for daring to criticize the government was so effective in deterring others from speaking up that the Act silenced dissent in this country for a decade. In the wake of this traumatic history, it was left untouched -- until those who wish the same outcome began to try to reanimate it again starting five years ago, and once again, now. Seeing the Espionage Act rise up again is, for anyone who knows a thing about it, like seeing the end of a horror movie in which the zombie that has enslaved the village just won't die.
