US Officials Blow the Whistle on Secret CIA, Mossad Operation in Syria

Aaron Nelson

Detonating a car bomb in a civilian-populated area and denying any involvement in the attack is called terrorism when our enemies do it.

But what if the terror attack is backed by Israel and the United States?

Speaking only under the condition of anonymity, 5 former U.S. intelligence officials told The Washington Post that the Central Intelligence Agency tracked Imad Mughniyah for at least a year before killing him in a joint operation with the Israeli Secret Intelligence Service.

Israeli/Palestinian Peace Talks: Dead on Arrival

So-called peace talks are fake. They're a sham. They've always been this way. Decades of talks were stillborn from inception. This time's no different.

Chances for a just peace are ZERO. Palestinians have no say. Believing otherwise defies reality.

Israel deplores peace. So does Washington. They're jointly running things. Both nations are longstanding imperial partners. They prioritize violence and instability. Peace defeats their agenda.

They don't negotiate. They demand. It bears repeating. Palestinians have no say whatever. They never did. They don't now.

State Department Debunks Iranian Latin American Terrorism Links

Dees Illustration
Stephen Lendman

False anti-Iranian accusations persist. They're longstanding. Claims about alleged nuclear bomb development don't wash. Nor do well publicized terror attack charges.

The Islamic Republic's maliciously vilified. False accusations follow earlier ones. A disturbing pattern repeats. Iran's sovereignty is challenged. Its independence is threatened.

Washington wants pro-Western stooges everywhere. It wants rival states eliminated. It wants unchallenged global dominance. Everything's fair game to achieve it. Duplicitous misinformation proliferates.

Another Israeli War Criminal of the Year Award

Anthony Freda Art
Stephen Lendman

America represents the worst of rogue governance. So does Israel. They menace humanity. They persecute their best. They honor their worst.

Peacemakers are scorned. Waging war on humanity's rewarded. On March 21, Obama received Israel's Medal of Distinction. It's also called the President's Medal.

It's Israel's highest civil award. It's for individuals "who have made an outstanding contribution to the State of Israel or to humanity, through their talents, services, or in any other form."

In 2012, Henry Kissinger won. His rap sheet includes decades of crimes of war, against humanity and genocide. Israel rewarded his New World Order ruthlessness. It didn't surprise.

Obama replicates his viciousness writ large. Bill Clinton has his own cross to bear. He's Israel's newest honoree. Shimon Peres established the award.

Washington Funds Secret Israeli Ballistic Missile Base

Stephen Lendman

On June 3, McClatchy's foreign staff headlined "US publishes details of missile base Israel wanted kept secret." More on that below.

Last November 28, the Washington Post headlined "US overseeing mysterious construction in Israel." A previous article discussed it. Washington and Israel partner in imperial operations. Expensive projects are included. According to WaPo:

The US Army Corps of Engineers plans to supervise construction of a five-story underground facility for an Israel Defense Forces complex.
It's called "Site 911." It'll be built at an Israeli air force base near Tel Aviv. It's precise location is secret. Construction will take two years or longer.

Time frames are often extended. Cost is expected to be about $100 million. Expect double or more spent perhaps before completion.

US House Passes Amendment to NDAA Regarding the National Defense of…Israel?

Kimberly Paxton

An amendment to the NDAA passed the US House of Representatives on Friday. The pricey amendment doesn’t apply to the national defense of the United States, but that of Israel.

It is the policy of the United States to take all necessary steps to ensure that Israel possesses and maintains an independent capability to remove existential threats to its security and defend its vital national interests.
The amendment was introduced by Rep. Peter Roskam (R-Ill.), and passed overwhelmingly with a vote of 315-108. It will go for a vote by the Senate next, and then cross the desk of President Obama before it becomes a law that Israel can remove “existential threats” on the American taxpayer’s dime.

Israeli Involvement in NSA Spying

Stephen Lendman

It doesn't surprise. On June 8, Haaretz headlined "What was the Israeli involvement in collecting US communications intel for NSA?" More on that below.

On April 3, 2012, James Bamford headlined "Shady Companies with Ties to Israel Wiretap for US for the NSA."

He said NSA chief General Keith Alexander's "having a busy year." He's "cutting ribbons at secret bases and bringing to life the agency’s greatly expanded eavesdropping network."

In January he dedicated the new $358 million CAPT Joseph J. Rochefort Building at NSA Hawaii, and in March he unveiled the 604,000-square-foot John Whitelaw Building at NSA Georgia.
It's for around "4,000 earphone-clad intercept operators, analysts and other specialists, many of them employed by private contractors."

Spies "R" Us defines US policy. NSA's "mammoth 1-million-square-foot, $2 billion Utah Data Center is far more sweeping."

Cynthia McKinney On Leadership

Paul Craig Roberts, Contributor

Those who have followed the Republican campaign for the presidential nomination and current contest between Romney and Obama know that the United States has no political leadership in Washington.

Billions of dollars have been spent on political propaganda, but not a single important issue has been addressed. The closest the campaign has come to a political issue is which candidate can grovel the lowest at the feet of Israeli prime minister Netanyahu. Romney won that contest. But for the rest, well, it is like two elementary school children sticking their tongues out at one another.

The question of US political leadership has been on my mind for some time. I can remember when political leadership still existed and when bipartisan cooperation could be mustered on enough issues to keep the country and the government functioning. But no more. It might have been Newt Gingrich who, as Speaker of the House, destroyed bipartisan cooperation by making war on the Democratic Party, warfare that Karl Rove has taken to a new height.

When a country loses leadership, how does a country get leadership back?

3 Reasons the US and Israel are Lying About Iran

Repeated Lies Call for Repeated Truth Regarding Iran.

Tony Cartalucci, Contributor

As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls "for the US to establish a firm 'red line' that Iran's nuclear program can't cross without risking a military response," and the West is marched ever closer to war with the Islamic Republic based on tired and repeated lies, three important points must be kept in mind.

Image: Israeli Prime Minister has been granted air-time to dictate US foreign policy to American viewers in the latest indication that interests other than those of the American people drive American destiny. Make no mistake, however; Netanyahu is not in America to represent the Israeli people, but rather the same corporate-financier interests of Wall Street and London that created and sustain him politically.

Israel Provides “Intelligence” That May Prompt US to Join Iranian Strike

Susanne Posel, Contributor

The UN International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has decided that intelligence coming from Israel saying Iran has advanced their work on nuclear technology is credible. And that Israel has calculated their “destructive power” through computer models – and have for the last 3 years. IAEA is now convinced that Iran will have nuclear capability by November.

The Obama administration is hoping to exert some pressure on China and Russia to persuade them to stop supporting Iran militarily. In a bogus resolution, combined with influence from Israel, the Obama administration is feigning diplomatic talks, while the persistence of Zionist-controlled Israel demands violent strike against Iran.

US Secretary of State, Hillary Clinton, has met with her counterparts representing Germany, China, Britain and France to negotiate a secret deal. Behind closed doors, these nations are unifying against Iran.

The Declining West: Tragedy or Comedy?

Canadian FM John Baird
Paul Craig Roberts, Contributor

During the Vietnam War, Sweden was an independent country with a moral conscience, and Sweden gave sanctuary to US war protesters who refused the draft. Washington realized the cost to itself and purchased the Swedish government in order to prevent a recurrence of moral conscience on the part of any Western government.

In the aftermath of World War II and during the subsequent decades of the Cold War with the Soviet Union, the Western nations presented themselves as the moral conscience of the world. It turns out that this was largely a hoax.

The “Western nations” are merely pawns complicit in Washington’s crimes as Washington attempts to shut down all information in its pursuit of world hegemony.

Canada: Selling Its Soul to America

Stephen Lendman, Contributor

Canada is more colony than sovereign state. Canadians perhaps wonder when it'll grow up, act like an adult, and regain its rightful independence.

They're also worried about a country junior partnering with imperial America, Israel, and other rogue NATO allies.

A previous article said the following:

On September 7, Foreign Minister John Baird said Canada closed its Tehran embassy. It expelled Iranian diplomats in Ottawa. They have five days to leave. He claimed a nonexistent Iranian threat. He took a page from AIPAC's playbook. He bogusly called Tehran the gravest threat to global security.

He accused Iran of "providing increasing military assistance to the Assad regime." He ignored Washington's war Syria. He said nothing about Canada's role.

New York Police Department opens a new branch in Kfar Saba, Israel

Madison Ruppert, Contributor

In what just might be one of the strangest recent news stories, Israeli news outlets are reporting that the New York Police Department (NYPD) is opening a branch in Kfar Saba, a city in the Sharon region of the Central District of Israel.

Yes, the NYPD, the same department which recently shot nine innocent bystanders in the course of taking out one murderer, employs officers who have detained people for dancing, has thrown an officer in a psychiatric ward for reporting widespread corruption, and even conducted completely illegal spying operations far outside their jurisdiction. The NYPD has also been busted for their widespread illegal surveillance of Muslims, labeling people who film police “professional agitators” and even for falsely inflating their counterterrorism record.

The above are just a few examples among countless others showing the NYPD to be a corrupt, deplorable entity which apparently has no problem with going far beyond the legal limits.

Now the NYPD has made all their past activities look almost reasonable by actually opening up a branch in Israel supposedly in order to strengthen the NYPD’s ties with the Israeli security forces according to the Ma’ariv newspaper (non-translated version here) in Israel.

Did Obama Just Make A Deal With Israel To Delay The War With Iran Until After The Election?

Michael Snyder, Contributor

Barack Obama cares about Barack Obama far more than he does about either Israel or Iran. And as far as Barack Obama is concerned, delaying the coming war between Israel and Iran until after the election is what is best for Barack Obama.

Just think about it. If Israel attacked Iran right now, who would that please? It would mostly please hardcore Republicans, and they are not going to vote for Obama anyway. To independents and liberals, Obama would look like a guy that couldn't stop war from happening in the Middle East. If the U.S. showed support for the Israeli attack, that would greatly discourage his anti-war supporters from going to the polls. If the U.S. did not show support for the Israeli attack, Obama would potentially lose many of the Jewish voters that he desperately needs in swing states such as Florida.

A war between Israel and Iran is a no-win situation for Obama right now, and as I wrote about yesterday, the Obama administration has been trying to discourage Israel from attacking Iran for weeks. Well, now it is being reported in major international news sources that a deal has been reached between Obama and Israel.

Washington Opposes Peace

Washington's humanitarian aid program
Anthony Freda Art
Stephen Lendman, Contributor

America's history is blood-drenched. Permanent war is policy. Peace and stability are verboten.

One nation after another is targeted. Aggressive wars follow. Rule of law principles and democratic values are discarded. Wealth, power and unchallengeable dominance alone matter.

Scoundrel supporters glorify what they should condemn. More on them below. Syria is being ravaged and destroyed. Spurious accusations target Iran. Neither country threatens anyone. Malicious lies say otherwise.

Risking Nuclear Armageddon

Anthony Fred Art
"War Mind"
Stephen Lendman, Contributor

Irresponsible leaders risk the unthinkable. Media scoundrels cheerlead mindlessly. So do neocon think tanks. Ordinary people are more concerned about mundane trivia than survival.

Nero didn't fiddle while Rome burned. The violin wasn't invented for another 1,500 years. Today's officials go where earlier ones wouldn't dare. They risk regional or global disaster. War on Syria and/or Iran may ignite more than leaders bargain for.

Imagine blowing up the world to control it. Imagine forces able to stop it staying sidelined. Imagine the unimaginable. Imagine it before it's too late to matter.

World War II weapons were toys compared to today's. Before war ended, tens of millions died. Estimates range from 50 - 70 million. No one knows for sure. Preventing war would have saved them. A world war that was hoped never again to happen became perpetual conflicts.

Obama replicates hardline neocon extremism. He did what supporters thought impossible. He surpassed the worst of Bush. Imagine what'll do in a second term.

Obama and Netanyahu Lay Out Plans to Strike Iran

Susanne Posel, Contributor

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has come out publicly to state that he will authorize a military strike on Iran before US elections in November. With the Defense Minister, Ehud Barak, this is viewed as a preparatory strategy as the operation to destabilize and takeover Syria and Iran is prime on Israel’s colonization agenda to control the Middle East.

In New York, at the UN General Assembly, Netanyahu and Obama discussed their plans to use military and propaganda to justify and cover their agenda against Iran.

Tom Donlion, National Security Advisor to Obama and Ron Demer, senior advisor to Netanyahu are devising a “four-point plan” to implement Israeli strategies into US foreign policy concerning Iran.

AIPAC Wants War on Iran

Dees Illustration

Activist Post

AIPAC is an unregistered foreign agent. It calls itself "America's Pro-Israeli Lobby." It has represented Israeli interests since 1953.

Virtually no one in Congress confronts it. Doing so is a career-ender. It has enormous influence over US Middle East policies affecting Israel, including war and peace.

It disseminates disinformation, lies and hate. It viciously attacks opponents. It calls Iran "the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism and is racing toward a nuclear weapons capability."

It manufactures threats to promote fear. It wants the Islamic Republic destroyed. It targets other regional states. It wants unchallenged Israeli regional dominance.

James Petras says its sole purpose "is to ensure Israel’s unchallenged military and political power over a huge region from North Africa to the Persian Gulf."

CIA Calls Israel Main US Regional Spy Threat

Stephen Lendman, Contributor
Activist Post

On July 28, AP reported it. Anonymous sources were cited. The CIA's Tel Aviv station chief discovered "sensitive equipment he used (at home) to communicate with" headquarters personnel in Langley, VA was compromised.

He told his superiors. It happened to Washington's previous station chief. It wasn't coincidental. It showed that allies spy on each other. Israeli intelligence spies on its US counterparts.

A CIA official in Israel discovered "the food in (his) refrigerator had been rearranged." Washington blames Israel's security services for these incidents. It shows what's well known but ignored publicly.

Netanyahu spokesman Mark Regev claims "Israel does not spy on the United States of America."

He lied. Israel spies every day in every way it thinks it can get away with. Before 9/11, the FBI uncovered a massive US-based spy ring. Israel ran it, and it remains active.

Banging the Drums of War: Iran and the Neo-cons

All the Usual Suspects

In the last few years Jeffrey Goldberg of The Atlantic, Norman Podhoretz of Commentary, Charles Krauthammer of The Washington Post, Bill Kristol from the The Weekly Standard and Thomas Friedman of The New York Times have all clamored for an attack on Iran. The debate has been shaped. Do we or don’t we attack Iran in order to destroy or delay their supposed nuclear weapons program.

All the usual suspects that hyped a war in Iraq which was started on false precepts and lies.  Here are some excerpts from their new project.
