Washington Examiner
Rep. Justin Amash went legend last night, telling his vanquished primary challenger that "I ran for Congress to stop people like you."
The Michigan Republican survived a brutal race against Brian Ellis that featured moments like Devin Nunes, R-Calif., calling Amash "al Qaeda's best friend in Congress" and a local lawyer describing Amash as "among the most anti-Israel members of Congress."
His entire rant is worth viewing. If you think it's bad to be mean to an opponent in a victory speech, you probably won't like it. If you think politicians should be honest and avoid papering over differences, you'll probably like it. If you think that most of it will be forgotten by Monday, you're probably correct.
Watch it anyway.
Revel in a time-honored tradition in American politics: utter incivility.
