When users aren't overdosing, many sell their methadone supplies in order to buy cocaine and heroin. Constables Kristie Fisher and Shane Aitken hunt down secret, unauthorized prescriptions among the downtown eastside.
In this gritty ten-part reality series, cameras follow the Beat Enforcement Team--a special police squad assigned to patrol an urban area suffering skyrocketing crime rates and rampant drug use. Attempting to juggle their dangerous jobs with their home lives, the officers commit to doing everything they can to clean up the dangerous streets and improve the lives of those in the community.
