WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Hillary Clinton says officials should try to make the new airport security measures, including full body scans and intimate pat-downs, less intrusive.
Clinton says there’s clearly a need for the tighter security. But she says the government should explore ways to “to limit the number of people who are going to be put through surveillance.”
She says she understands “how offensive it must be” for some people to undergo the searches. She says there’s a need to strike “the right balance” and to “get it better and less intrusive and more precise.”
Would she submit to a pat-down? “Not if I could avoid it,” Clinton says. “No. I mean, who would?”
She made the comments in interviews aired Sunday on CBS’ “Face the Nation” and NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

We should really stop letting them call these "pat downs". Everyone knows what a pat down or frisk is, we see it on police shows all the time.
ReplyDeleteThese are different. A cop never rubs a woman's labia while frisking her for weapons on a tv show!
These are not "pat downs" or "enhanced pat downs". Anyone saying they are is trying to downplay them. They aren't merely "intrusive" they are intolerable. What would George Washington have done if the Red Coats had went inside of Martha's bloomers?
Call them what they are, a crotch and breast search.
Stop using planes - it is that pure and simple.
ReplyDeleteI bet you after 1 month the scanners and TSA is gone.
...stop talking do it! Use the phone to keep contact.
There seems to be a skip in the video when replayed...I wanted to see hitlery laugh at not having to go thru this because she is basically above the law...well she may find out very soon how many people really disagree with her in many regards!!
