Why Tony Blair Is A War Criminal Who Should Be On Trial In The Hague

Brit Dee, Contributor

Archbishop Desmond Tutu's recent condemnation of Tony Blair's role in the invasion of Iraq, and his refusal to attend a summit with the former British prime minister, increases the pressure on war criminal Blair.

In a searing written indictment published on Sunday, Tutu slammed Blair for the devastating war. He criticised Blair's fabrications which led to the invasion of Iraq, including his lies about the country's supposed weapons of mass destruction, and his refusal to allow UN inspectors more time to establish whether or not Saddam Hussein posed a genuine threat to world peace.

He described Blair and Bush as immoral playground bullies, whose reckless warmongering has caused extensive suffering and loss of life, further polarised the world, and helped normalise a climate of Western aggression that currently threatens formerly stable, sovereign, and peaceful Iran and Syria.

Here are five reasons why Tony Blair is a war criminal, who should be on trial in The Hague.

Despite Dubious Evidence, Men Convicted Of Stephen Lawrence Murder Lose Appeal Bid

The men convicted of the murder of Stephen Lawrence have today lost their first appeal bid.

Whilst David Norris and Gary Dobson can still renew their applications before judges sitting at the appeal court, a single judge today rejected their first appeals after 'consideration of the papers'.

Norris and Dobson were given life sentences in January of 14 years and three months, and 15 years, for the racist murder of black teenager Stephen Lawrence in 1993.

In a previous article we detailed how the prosecution of Gary Dobson was only possible after a fundamental change in the ancient common law of 'double jeopardy', in which an accused, once acquitted, could never be tried for the same crime again.

Dobson had already been acquitted of murder during a private prosecution brought by Stephen Lawrence's family in 1994, after a judge threw out the case due to the unreliability of a key witness's evidence.

Dobson's and Norris's convictions in January were based entirely on new forensic evidence recovered by LGC Forensics many years after the crime - despite serious concerns about the credibility of that very evidence.

Syrian Rebel Cheerfully Admits To War Crimes

In an extraordinary interview a member of the Free Syrian Army has cheerfully admitted to summarily executing a gravely injured man, accused without trial of being a Shabiha militia sniper loyal to Bashar al-Assad.

Yaman Hamoud - an assistant in a Dubai GAP clothing store before his return home to Aleppo to take up arms against the Syrian government - recounts how his squad arrested an injured man "disguised as a woman", who had approached their checkpoint after mistaking it for a government-held post.

According to Hamoud, he and his cohorts asked their commander if they could immediately kill the man, but were told to instead take him to hospital for treatment.

Doctors at the hospital said that the man would die of his wounds within a couple of days - but when he didn't, Hamoud's squad commander agreed to the injured man's execution. Hamoud disturbingly recalls how...

Anders Breivik Norway Attack: Police & Intelligence Criticised

Anders Breivik

Norwegian police have been heavily criticised by an independent commission, who have concluded that Anders Breivik's bomb attack could have been prevented, and his mass shooting on the island of Utøya stopped much earlier.

Breivik's July 22nd 2011 bomb attack on the government building in Oslo could have been prevented, states the government-appointed commission report, "through effective implementation of already adopted security measures".

Breivik was able to park a van containing a fertiliser bomb outside the building, which exploded killing 8 and injuring many more. The report says that a scenario envisaging a car bombing at the government complex and several coordinated attacks have been recurring scenarios in threat assessments as well as for safety analyses and exercise scenarios for many years.

Today's report also criticises the police response to Breivik's subsequent gun rampage on Utøya, where he was able to spend well over an hour killing 69 members of the Labour Party youth organisation.

Syria's Bashar al-Assad Is More Evil Than Al Qaeda, Apparently

In their determination to destabilise Syria, oust Bashar al-Assad's government, and install a compliant regime - thus weakening Iran - Western leaders are supporting Al Qaeda terrorists responsible for blowing up US soldiers in Iraq.

Al Qaeda's presence in Syria has been fleetingly acknowledged by both the US and British governments and widely discussed in the alternative media, though the fact that fundamentalist terrorists are behind much of the violence in the country goes largely unmentioned in our leaders' propagandistic tirades against Assad.

This is unsurprising. It would be totally absurd to claim that Assad - who ruled over a stable, secular and peaceful country prior to the chaos currently engulfing Syria - is more tyrannical and dangerous than a terror network we've been fighting for well over a decade, and who stand accused of murdering 3000 people on 9/11.

An open acknowledgment that the West is now supporting people who have killed US soldiers in Iraq, could be too much for even the most ill-informed and propagandised Fox News-watcher to stomach.

British Government Encouraging Kids To Report Tax Evaders?

HM Revenue and Customs, the UK government's tax and customs department, has been accused of encouraging schoolkids to report tax evaders in their local area.

The allegation relates to a document available on the HMRC website, used as a 'Citizenship' module in schools to teach kids why they should become responsible taxpayers.

Page 2 of the Key Stage 4 lesson plan, designed for use by 14 to 16 year olds, involves a classroom discussion in which students debate “whether it is good to pay the tax we do, considering the benefits we receive. If it is good, then why do people try not to pay?”

The teacher must then ask what students “think of those who refuse to pay tax or try and defraud the benefits system? Can they think of any example they may have heard of in their local area?”

David Cameron Supports Terrorism

Damascus terrorist attack

British prime minister David Cameron supports outright terrorism.

That's the only conclusion that can be drawn from his failure to explicitly condemn yesterday's bombing in Damascus, Syria, which murdered several leading members of president Assad's government.

The bombing of a government meeting room killed Syria's defence minister, Dawoud Rajha, deputy defence minister Assef Shawkat, who was also Assad's brother-in-law, and a former defence minister, Hassan Turkmani. Two of the men killed were in their 60s, with Turkmani being 77 years of age.

Responsibility for the bombing has come from both the Syrian Free Army and an Islamist group called Liwa Al-Islam. In a reference to evidence implicating foreign involvement in the destabilisation of the country, a Syrian government spokesman said that responsibility for the terror attack "falls directly on the hands of the Arab and Western governments, their intelligence agencies and their spies."

Having devastated millions of lives as co-conspirator in the illegal and immoral Iraq war - and then having raked in millions of pounds through business contacts made during his time as prime minister - war criminal Tony Blair is apparently trying to edge his way back into British politics.

According to the London Guardian, Blair - supposedly retired from frontline politics - is to act as an adviser to the Labour party and will be "contributing ideas and experience to Ed Miliband's policy review".

Miliband, the current Labour leader, revealed that Blair will be giving advice on the 'Olympic legacy' - and in a sickening display of sycophancy, praised the warmonger and thanked him for what he had done for the Labour party and Britain.

In a disturbing example of the insane terror hysteria gripping the UK, an electronic cigarette machine yesterday caused chaos on an English motorway.

A coach driver's call to the police reporting a passenger seen "pouring liquid into a bag and causing it to smoke" resulted in the closing of a 27-mile stretch of the M6 motorway near Lichfield and the deployment of an estimated 200 emergency personnel - including the involvement of an armed response unit, two police forces, two fire brigades, and a military bomb disposal unit.

The Three Stage Foreign Plan To Destabilise Syria: Bashar al-Assad

President Bashar al-Assad of Syria has claimed that unnamed foreign governments are behind a three stage plan to destabilise the country and bring down his government.

Speaking to Turkish newspaper Cumhuriyet, al-Assad claimed that the first stage had been to pay demonstrators to take part in protests.

Protestors were initially paid $10, rising to $50 as it became clear to those funding the protests that creating another 'Tahrir Square' uprising was not going to be easy.
