Nature Blowing Its Top and Bottom
Karymsky volcano rumbles away.
Nuclear Dangers and Treatment
Dr. Mark Sircus --
IMVA
Violent eruptions along Russia’s volcano belt are affecting global weather patterns and prices to boot, says this article by Ben Aris. Prepare to
pay more
for your flour and coal this year. Volcanoes on the country’s eastern seaboard of Kamchatka have been
unusually active for the last six months
,” says Aris. “The dust they threw up diverted winds in the Arctic, pushing cold air over Europe and North America and causing the unusually cold winter,” say scientists. “This string of volcanoes, 29 of which are active, could cause more problems this year,
depressing harvests around the globe
just as food prices soar, and culminating in a second freezing winter.” These volcanoes in Russia are not the only volcanoes that are blowing huge tonnages of ash and gases into the atmosphere and when you add them all up, the situation is threatening our climate and agricultural sector.
Not many of us think about what is going on deep beneath our feet but
evidence
is starting to pile up that our planet is undergoing massive changes underneath us. The quake in Japan from a few days before the most recent terrible one that has spawned a nuclear nightmare had already sent seismographs across the planet reeling into the deep black with some saying that the powerful force of the quake has buckled the seafloor off the far coast of Japan.
Earthquakes and volcanic activity are on the increase around the world signaling, to anyone who is listening, an intensification of earth changes
. None of us though had an inkling of what the increasing tremors would bring, first to many Japanese coastal cities like the one below, bringing on a terrible war scale destruction—but also a nuclear catastrophe that is unfolding and threatening to be global in proportion. Letters are already coming in from panicking people on the west coast of North America where jet streams will carry within a few short days, what is being released into the atmosphere at the nuclear facilities in Japan. They want to know how much iodine to take.
We all know about the devastating tsunami that hit the coast of northeast
Japan
on Friday in the aftermath of an
8.9 magnitude earthquake
about 80 miles offshore, killing hundreds of people and injuring many more. But 10,000 people are reported missing from this one town above that was completely wiped out. Nightmarish reports and
photographs
are coming in and it looks like a utterly devastated war zone. Japanese Prime Minister Naoto Kan is appealing to the Japanese to unite in overcoming what he says is the nation’s worst crisis since World War II.
Now the number is being revised to a 9.1 mega quake. The earthquake triggered widespread power blackouts and, to the horror of an on-looking world, possible meltdowns in several nuclear plants. The world is sitting on the edge of its chair as we wait to see what unfolds. A complete meltdown — the collapse of a power plant’s systems and its ability to keep temperatures under control — would release uranium and dangerous contaminants into the environment and pose major, widespread health risks.
Partial meltdowns are already being reported in two reactors with others still at risk. Officials monitoring the plant in Fukushima have said they detected a radioactive byproduct, cesium, that indicates that a partial meltdown had occurred.
Already as we wake up the news of explosions and contamination at one nuclear plant is flashing around the world. The explosion was preceded by puff of white smoke that gathered intensity until it became a huge cloud enveloping the entire facility, located in Fukushima, 20 miles (30 kilometers) from Iwaki. After the explosion, the walls of the building crumbled, leaving only a skeletal metal frame. Before the explosion, operators had detected eight times the normal radiation levels outside the facility and 1,000 times normal inside Unit 1’s control room. An evacuation area around the plant has been expanded and expanded again as the nuclear threat and contamination spreads.
Eleven of Japan’s 55 reactors are reportedly shut down due to the earthquake. Nuclear authorities in Japan have earlier warned that the Fukushima No. 1 plant, located about 250 km northeast of Tokyo, an urban area of 30 million people.
Kevin Kamps
, recently in Japan on a nuclear power-related speaking tour said, “In addition to the reactor cores, the storage pool for highly radioactive irradiated nuclear fuel is also at risk. The pool cooling water must be continuously circulated. Without circulation, the still thermally hot irradiated nuclear fuel in the storage pools will begin to boil off the cooling water. Within a day or two, the pool’s water could completely boil away. Without cooling water, the irradiated nuclear fuel could heat to the point of spontaneously combusting in an exothermic reaction. Since the storage pools are not located within containment, a catastrophic radioactivity release to the environment could occur. Given the large quantity of irradiated nuclear fuel in the pool, the radioactivity release could be worse than the Chernobyl nuclear reactor catastrophe of 25 years ago.”
Kizimen and Sheveluch erupted shortly after the Japanese quake. Explosions at the volcanoes were accompanied by minor earthquakes.
Indonesia’s most active volcanoes also erupted hours after a massive earthquake in Japan that triggered a Pacific-wide tsunami. The 5,853-foot (1,784-meter) mountain is located on Siau, part of the Sulawesi island chain. It last erupted in August, killing four people. Indonesia, the world’s largest archipelago, is located on the so-called Pacific “Ring of Fire,” an arc of volcanoes and fault lines encircling the Pacific Basin.
We are facing dramatic seismographic events that seem to be gathering momentum around the world and lo and behold, our fantastic governments have not factored protection into nuclear plants—except for in two plants around the world, which have shock absorbers built around the reactors. In the past 12 months we have seen some huge disasters starting out with the toxic nightmare in the Gulf of Mexico, then devastating and highly toxic fires in Russia, then epic floods in Australia and now this disaster in Japan that is going nuclear in proportion.
The Guardian’s energy editor, Terry Macalister, writes, “I was down at Chernobyl two weeks ago to survey the cleanup there and it was certainly a sobering insight into how devastating an atomic accident can be. The Chernobyl plant is still highly radioactive—25 years after that accident—and far from fully dismantled or decommissioned. The nearby town of Pripyat lies completely empty. 50,000 people were evacuated from there and told they would be back the following weekend. They never returned.”
DNA and Mitochondrial Time Bombs
Uranium and other radioactive materials are highly toxic to humans, both chemically as heavy metals and radiological as alpha particle emitters. Dr. Diane Stearns at Northern Arizona University tells us that separate from any radiation risks,
cells exposed to uranium will bond with the metal chemically
. Uranium and phosphate have a strong chemical affinity for each other and the DNA and mitochondria are loaded with phosphate so
uranium is a
DNA and mitochondria deep-penetration bomb
.
There are three things that determine the toxicity of radioactive materials:
Chemical effects
–
Uranium is chemically very toxic.
Radioactive effects
(includes half-life and energy released) – One gram of DU (1/20th of a cubic centimeter) releases 13,000 alpha particles a second. One alpha particle can cause cancer under the right conditions and certainly it has the capacity to wreak havoc in beta cells and everywhere else.
Particle size
– In the nano particle range (diameter of 0.1 microns or smaller) the particulate effect (non-specific catalyst or enzyme) is far more biologically toxic than the first two effects. This is why DU is so devastating.
The Chernobyl incident was a major humanitarian disaster that has resulted in a plethora of health problems still far from being fully recognized. Most studies analyzing the medical consequences of this catastrophe have so far focused on diseases such as thyroid cancer, leukemia, immune and autoimmune pathology, even though an increase in the incidence of type 1 diabetes mellitus, a disorder involving the immune system, was observed within the residential population of Hiroshima among survivors of the atom bomb detonation. Studies have also shown that thymectomy and a sub-lethal dose of gamma radiation induces type 1 diabetes in rats.
Along the Gulf Coast the oil from the BP blowout 11 months ago continues to roll in along with increasing numbers of dead infant dolphins. The beaches remain polluted with toxic oil and dispersant with unlimited tons of it still being removed. The basic cleanup of the oil has been made impossible by any known technology after the dispersant sank it to the ocean floor. Eight months ago it was Russia that was burning
spreading chemical and radioactive contamination
from previous nuclear disasters that had been deposited in the soil and forests. China had its own oil nightmare in 2010.
Thus it is not only mega quakes, tsunamis and volcanoes erupting in our faces but mega increases in toxic exposures that are coming to an already badly polluted world. Thousands of tons of mercury are put into the atmosphere each year and that is just the lead Panzer division of a horde of contaminants that are touching down on everyone’s cellular environment.
The United States government insanely developed and used depleted uranium weapons on the battlefield with the resultant blanketing of the earth with uranium oxide with its half-life of billions of years. And humanity is in the middle of an extremely dangerous human experiment with microwave transmissions and wireless technology with mounting evidence leading us to believe that this one toxic insult alone could do our children and grandchildren in from lifetime exposures.
So we are not only threatened with total economic and financial ruin, mass starvation but also with being poisoned to death. Four years ago I previewed our current state of affairs with the publication of my
Survival Medicine for the 21st Century
compendium of 300 chapters. The point is it already is a fight for survival that is getting more intense with each and every mega disaster of either chemical or radioactive nature.
It well past the time when we have had to become intimately familiar with heavy metal chelation and detoxification methods for both chemical and radioactive threats that already surround us. We also have to begin to prepare for even more dramatic threats that the media and our governmental controllers would prefer we not ponder on.
The beginning point of this essay is on what is happening geologically below our feet and how that is already affecting the agricultural area. In case you need to be reminded our planet is under stress with the entire structure in the beginning process of destabilization.
Japan is at the center being flanked by aggravated tectonic plates and volcanic trenches, pierced by super-volcanic calderas along its southern tip, and dotted with active burning strato-mountains of fire. That’s 55 nuclear reactors in harm’s way in Japan alone. Japan sits at the crossroads of 4 adjoining tectonic plates, the Eurasian, North American, Philippine and Pacific plates. Anyone who is assuming that life is going to be convenient or nice to us at this point does not have their eyes open. The intensity of life’s events is only going to increase from here on so preparation and caution have to be the watchwords of the day.
Please see my important essay – Treatments for Nuclear Contamination and the youtube presentation of Dr. David Brownstein talking about the necessity of high iodine dosages for the entire population. It will be out in a few hours on my
blog
.
